  1. Franchise FC, got absolutely no time for them. Although to be fair would be nice to know what our own ticket office has been doing and whether anyone had bothered to chase to get this sorted earlier. FA including MK in the World Cup is also a farce, basing al ot of England's bid appeal on the history and heritage of the game, and then including a ground in a town with no football history. I really hoped AFC Wimbledon would draw Dons away in the FA Cup, take 5000 and cause so much damage they'd leave the place looking like Plough Lane
  2. The whole thing is a joke in my opinion, I shouldn't really get wound up by it but I do, I just do not understand why tickets for the home end can be on sale for a couple of weeks, then they try and rush through such a restricted sale for the away end, with only 2 days for general sale!! anyone wanting to book time off might not bother on the off chance they dont get a ticket, and doesnt allow time for them to be sent out. should have been on sale to season ticket holders 2 weeks ago, then on general sale for the last 2 weeks, with none of this "initial allocation" they never fill their ground so just say what the max we can have is and see if we can fill it.
  3. and Sheff Wed v Palace had 8k !!
  4. Email them, say you dont want a refund but a change of date for the same hotel, if it is the same price they might do it for you.
  5. that would be superb, especially if it is the prat with the bell
  6. Like the MK Dons game I see this as a shambles, why give non-season ticket holders under a week to buy tickets? The game is not all ticket I suppose so perhaps they just expect people to pay on the day
  7. i've just been down the ticket office and bought 1250 tickets for me and my mates, so only a couple of hundred left now, anyone thinking of going should get in quick. This will be an interesting one though. Factors this has for it: One of the cheapest days out of the season, group save 4 for 2 available on the trains, could do Southampton Central to the ground in under 2 hours. Despite being Millwall you have the whole of central London to choose from for a drink up / day out. 6 pointer in the chase for the play offs. Potential for top atmosphere. we just need 60% of those who went to Orient to sell this out. If we dont sell 2000 then that is a lot of people prepared to go to North East London, but not South East!!
  8. Numbers wise this season away from home has been superb but agree noise wise it has been disappointing. I expect we'll take close to our full allocation at the next 4 away games, Millwall, MK Dons, Brentford and Exeter. All fairly short journeys, the latter two with the added appeal of terracing, but small allocations.
  9. 20th Jan at Southwark crown court? I have already booked that day off, change of plans now, might do morning in the public gallery to watch the tax evasion trial, followed by a few beers and MK Dons away !!
  10. Hopefully they do the pricing for this game exactly the same as the Luton game, £10 for season ticket holders, £15 for non, and £18 on the day, with a decent away following and opening all parts of the ground we'd probably hit 20k+. Despite Ipswich being 19th in the Championship I think we will lose 2-0. they have only lost once in their last 13 games, winning away at Cardiff and Blackpool.
  11. I think there is definitely something strange going on, Milwall have tickets on sale for home fans along time before they went on sale for us, and now MK Dons is the same, don't usually have conspiracy theories but would be nice if David Luker can explain why ticket details + sales are being released so close to away games when the home tickets are on sales a few weeks before.
  12. I work in the finance industry, and if a company are late in paying you can ask them to produce evidence from the bank confirming this, if there really has been a problem. It is a classic grasping at straws, trying to squeeze out another few days to get some cash in. my guess is there is a player sale going through which may give them some cash by mid-way through next week and they are stalling until then.
  13. this is the seating plan for anyone still waiting to buy http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/staticFiles/c2/37/0,,10280~145346,00.pdf
  14. Good news, block 31 being the half way line I am sure they will sell quickly, there are definitely quite a few people who hold back on buying their tickets and wait for the kingsland to eventually open. If they are up to the half way line now expect the kingsland to almost be full in the end, and with Luton filling their section we should see 3 sides full with the chapel , corners and executives seats empty
  15. I remember posting at the time that it was disgusting watching an old lady who did not appear to be wealthy (hard to tell) handing over an envelope of £500 on sky sports news, which at the time would have paid Bradley Wright-Phillips for half a day. There really should have been a register made of all names and amounts donated, and those people given a formal thanks by the club, maybe even a free ticket to a game. Didn't the official site name all donations over £1000? which was Crouch and a few others (Askham as well I think)
  16. Fair play to Luton http://www.lutontown.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10372~1900291,00.html I think they will end up nearly filling the full 3000 now so will be a decent atmosphere. Should really top 18k attendance.
  17. Stoneham would have been sh!t. f*ck sitting on a "shuttle bus" up to the ground (sorry, multi purpose complex), i like st marys just where it is with plenty of pubs walking distance, and Southampton Central is an easy walking distance.
  18. that is a very funny rushed statement, someone has paniced and typed it out, without reading it back to check if it makes sense.
  19. it was a man utd song although last year they sang "citys going down with a billion in the bank" when for a short while they were low down the table, we just need to sing, they're going down, they're going down they're going down, they're going down, pompey's going down with no money in the bank, no money in the bank, no money in the bank ..................
  20. my mate is a season ticket holder up there, reckons they are probably going to bring 1500 - 2000, which isn't bad. Considering it is £10 for season ticket holders would be good to get towards 18-20k If Itchen, Northam and then most of the Kingsland end up being filled wont look too bad.
  21. Well Southend have already had one this season and that got sorted out ok
  22. I will be happy with them being relegated and starting next year on -30, don't want to see them go out of business completely. Pinnacle consortium to take over with Alan Knight / Mick Quinn as the front men or possible chairman?
  23. I have to agree with him to an extent. St Marys has a decent atmosphere for a new ground, and not being "out of town" is also a bonus, but other than that it is still a characterless bowl like many others that sprung up around the late 90s, early 00s, I despise places like Middlesbrough and have a genuine interest in football stadiums and the history they represent. Germany have done very well with their new grounds, keeping standing and cheap tickets has meant they have kept a lot of the old atmosphere.
  24. Hopefully he will dip in to his pockets, but its only worth it if we can attract the right players, and to do that we already need to look like we are on course for promotion. I know we signed Lambert and Hammond, but for a player to drop down a division we need them to be motivated by more than just money. In terms of the club being self sufficient, who knows over the next month we could get to Wembley and a couple of rounds further in the FA Cup, surely that would create a considerably larger income than we would have budgeted for at the start of the season. Presume both cups give more prize money for each round + sky money, + gate receipts. JPT final would generate quite a bit in merchandise alone. What is Jack Cork up to now?
  25. Good stuff. surprised they say tickets available on the day, this is one of the easiest away games to get to, £20 not to bad a price. Trains are back to normal then as well with the tunnel open, so the 9.30 from Central up to Waterloo for 10.49 must admit i laughed reading that, the ticket news says there are 5 wheelchair tickets available, then the travel news says the first wheelchair accessible coach is running with room for 6 so one of them is going to miss out!!
