  1. I think a few on here are a bit premature going on about "what a tragedy" etc, they are still signing players, http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8495353.stm and Gaydamak is not going to call his debt in. Wouldn't mind betting they'll get something at Fulham tonight.
  2. I still don't understand this. They are a week away from a winding up order court hearing? The players still haven't been paid for last month? and yet they are still signing more players? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8495353.stm
  3. How many premiership training grounds have you visited?
  4. This is clearly one of the best seasons to be a newly promoted team in the top flight, there are some very poor side clustering up in the bottom 6, I cannot see Burnley surviving with Brian Laws, Bolton are poor, Wolves, Wigan are very inconsistent, Hull nothing special. We could really do with Fulham beating the skates tonight which wont be easy due to injuries, then a thumping at Old Trafford on saturday.
  5. any idea how many tickets we actually ended up with in the end? I know the seats hold 300, terrace holds 1200. we were given 300 seats and 500 terrace, then received "some more" but not seen a figure
  6. I really hope we dont have to split gate receipts for this cup. By the time the game arrives I reckon MK might bring 500 down, they did have 1000 at the league game earlier in the season. If we can get 30,000 saints fans there next Tuesday that will be excellent (and if say 11,000 of those are season ticket holders, that's an extra 19,000 who qualify for Wembley tickets should we get there)
  7. This particular one isn't like a town centre pub though, we drank there before the cup game last season after getting off at st davids, might have helped being a summers day but was a really nice pub with good choice of beers, a bit of a walk from the ground but not a bad place to start, worth a visit just to see the building. http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-imperial
  8. I think this game has a huge importance in terms of the pompey match, a result of any kind that gets us to Wembley will have the whole squad and fanbase on a high going into the weekend. We've not had many special cup nights at st marys like we had at the Dell, hopefully this will be one of them.
  9. that is excellent news, would be great to have 30k there compared to what MK had for the 1st leg. Even if the rest of the ground sells out, I'm sure they'll be able to open an extra couple of blocks in the Northam (43 & 44) as I cannot see the Dons bringing more than 800. In the JPT are the gate receipts shared or does the home side get to keep them?
  10. this whole game has been a shambles by both clubs. Bet we will end up with tickets going on general sale tomorrow as not all taken up by advanced applications.
  11. I don't understand it either, for a business that has been referred to as on the verge of bankruptcy how come the only activity in the transfer window has been Nugent out on loan, Kaboul sold, O'Hara in on loan I think that is it? Hardly the sign of a club desperate for every penny. Have the players been paid today? If not, the FA should be held to account for scandalously allowing the transfer embargo to be lifted. I must admit I am disappointed, had hoped they would lose several others of their better players.
  12. Fair play, that is quick to sell out, check out the dodgy fake stone island jackets being worn in the queue http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/latest-news/Southampton-Tickets-Sold-Out-572.aspx
  13. A signed and mounted picture of Fabrice Fernandes!!! hahaha superb http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fabrice-Fernandes-signed-mounted-10x8-Southampton_W0QQitemZ380178875349QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_DVD_Film_TV_Autographs_CV?hash=item58846d43d5
  14. can i interest anyone in a signed Kevin Bond sticker? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kevin-Bond-Southampton-signed-trade-card-F-POST_W0QQitemZ390008843960QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_DVD_Film_TV_Autographs_CV?hash=item5ace56aeb8
  15. and how can such a fine items as a signed Stuart Ripley photo still be available ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SOCCER-SALE-STUART-RIPLEY-SIGNED-SOUTHAMPTON-PHTO_W0QQitemZ180440516096QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_DVD_Film_TV_Autographs_CV?hash=item2a0317c600 thought that would be snapped up by now
  16. here is somthing for all true collectors http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Southampton-football-car-sticker-wee-pee-****-on-rival_W0QQitemZ360185759683QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Collectables_WeirdStuff_RL?hash=item53dcbe87c3
  17. you have paid too much then, it is £16 each on the terrace, 4 tickets shold be £64
  18. I don't think it is true though to be honest, it is not something saints need to worry about as the receipts go to the FA who then take their cut and share with the away club, even if pompey sold all their tickets we'd still owe them money in share of total gate receipts, we can just withold what is still owed to us, so no adverse risk for saints.
  19. yeah i'm sure that will be hilarious while they are beating us comfortably with their superior team. they are still bringing players in and how many have actually left?
  20. how many of their players have actually left in January?
  21. The game will be on mate, these things always take time ticking along, the skates seem to find just enough money when needed, even if things go against them before the 13th (which is only 2 weeks away) i'm sure they'll they still be able to field a team. fair play from flying over from Australia, whereabouts do you live over there? those flights must be costing a fair bit. You couldn't have timed your visit much better with the MK Dons and Pompey home games, both should be great occassions and you could return home having seen us qualify for the final of one competition and the 1/4 final of another.
  22. What is annoying me at the moment is plenty of people on here are stating facts on pompey's demise and how much trouble they are in etc etc, but from what I can see they are doing a good job at keeping the ship afloat with the minimum possible expenditure, keeping the creditors at bay with payment plan extensions etc. As things stand they still have a fairly strong team and in all probability will beat us easily on the 13th. Now that might change in the next couple of days with the wages not being paid, or others leaving, but they will still be able to fulfill the fixture against us in administration and probably with a strong team

Surely if Blocks 1-3 are the first to sell out surely this will be the strongest message Luker and the club can have from the fans that they are depriving us from buying tickets in a popular area for all the league games this season.
  24. serious question - tickets for the cup game on the 13th, we've sent them 4k tickets at £28 a go which we are trusting them to sell to their fan base, at what point does Portsmouth Football club have to hand that cash over to Southampton football club for those sales? Do we also become a creditor?
  25. Can someone email / text SSN and ask them how the f*ck can they not have a transfer embargo anymore? Disgrace to football. Just hoping tomorrow will pass with no wages paid again and the exodus begins with players walking out.
