i might have to think twice about that pitch invasion when we score, looks like half a mile. went there in the league cup 2001 don't remember the view being that bad
-
Yeah what a true pro Lee Clark is. Take is no one remembers him going to wembley to support Newcastle wearing a "sad mackem bastards" t-shirt................. while he was a SUNDERLAND player.
-
just as a further point in regards to would we want to be in the premier league, I am just on Fulham's website helping an Italian at work trying to buy tickets for Fulham v Juve, I can quite clearly state i would not go regularly as an away fan in the premiership, prices for Fulham v Man City range from £45 CHEAPEST, £49, £50, £55, £60, £65 + £70 why on earth would anyone want to pay that? Brazil v Ireland at the Emirates last night, cheapest tickets were £37 + booking fee, for a pointless friendly, crazy Lets hope the pompey administration can lead to a knock on effect of the bubble bursting, these prices are out of control.

They sure have, and it is those types of fans that a lot of proper "united" despise. What they have done incredibly well is keep their away support culture going (proper lads, songs, standing) which could easily have been watered down with Timothy from Surrey jumping on the bandwagon. Their home support has suffered though. Fair play to the ones protesting, they have at least made an attempt at showing opposition against something which they know is bad for their club. FCUM is an interesting plan which I don't think will work, it provides a section of their support a "manchester united" away from all of the commercialisation of the premier league but it doesnt have the same passion that AFC Wimbledon have creating a new club from the death of another.

that's a load of money being wasted on empty seats then.
-
we will sell out easily. we would have sold out by now with shorter purchasing windows and allowance to buy more tickets for people to take family / mates with them, e.g 3 per season ticket holder. i know it is for segregation, but can no one else see the irony of all these ticket restrictions / purchasing windows when a whole 1/4 of the ground will be empty.

A pre-match disco on a Sunday morning?
-
it is bonkers. there are still about 8k tickets left. but hardly any will be sold for the next 7 days due to allowing a week and a half for MK Dons linked sale, no logic around that at all. would be good for the club to show a bit more encouragement to get as many there as possible = sell out and publically request more tickets. 20k empty seats will look ridiculous. requesting more tickets now wont hold much weight with so many still unsold at the mo

probably letting the lino know he had spotted a fit bird in the crowd just behind him and she was worth a look
-
it cannot be fact unless you have spoken to the ref and he confirmed it, otherwise you are simply basing your statement on your assumptions
-
No it wasnt. The stewards got large parts of block 42 to sit down at points during the game
-
I very much doubt there are only 5k left, and it has been posted elsewhere that we would not be getting anymore......... however, this supports my point that if the club had shorter selling periods and got on and sold out our allocation this week it would improve our case to put pressure on wembley/football league to get more tickets. just another 10k sold at average price of £22 would easily pay for any additional stewards needed to provide segregation and much better than looking at huge blocks of empty seats. Likewise, the grey shaded blocks of club wembley right in the middle of our section that were not on sale for saints fans, hopefully they will be released if CW do not take them up.
-
this is exactly how it should be
-
my point was there should be no need for all this restricted sale, we should have been given a bigger allocation rather than just leave 20k empty seats making it feel like a schoolboy international, season ticket holders could then have been allowed to buy more, and an earlier general sale would have allowed groups to buy tickets, invite mates who dont go that often, result being a bigger attendance at wembley and possibly recruit more fans who will attend more games at St Marys as a knock on effect.
-
It is all a bit of a farce. I know of season ticket holders who are waiting for the general sale to get large groups of seats together with family / mates. On the basis that 7k tickets were sold yesterday, I would imagine that all "linked" sales relating to the MK game will be completed today, or latest tomorrow. We will then have a period of 7 days of inactivity while people wait for the next window to open. And at the end of all this, we still face being at Wembley stadium with 20,000 empty seats which will dent it as an occassion in my opinion. Just a real shame we couldn't get 55k, with them on general sale early enough and i think we would have a good chance of selling them. Carlisle could then have their 25k, a couple more thousand in the club wembley / executive area that is sold through their membership and the ground would then at least have the appearance of a final and the atomosphere to go with it.
-
it is there, court 53
-
yeah that is more likely to be 8k people re-dialling a few times each, still hopefully we'll sell another 10k tickets today to take the total over 30k would have thought all the MK link tickets will be sold between today and Wednesday, so really can't see why the database window doesn't begin until 10th March the club should really be pushing to get more tickets and get them on sale, target should be to have as few empty seats as possible to improve the atmosphere.

I do not own a saints shirt, but have various other items of clothing i would like to have commemorated with johnstones paint trophy final in gold letters, is there a limit on what you can have it printed on?
-
i cannot see us taking more than 1000 with all the other games we have coming up, although this will be a new ground for some people who were lucky enough not to attend the nightmare 4-3 defeat back in 2001 can't wait for the nightout in Liverpool

What special JPT final stuff is there? Flags? Scarves? Wigs? Jester Hats? Big Foam hands? Rosettes ? They should do a special Wembley pack containing all of that
-
have all the loans players been sent back by the administrator?? surely that should be the first and easiest thing to cut costs
-
Good point and worth pointing out to any of the "we are the victims" in this protestors. you went along with the success bought with illegal arms trade money, so you have to take the consequences now.
-
It is not a case of panicing, i just think there is a small club/ town mentality about how the club are approaching this "big day", much prefer the sales model carlisle are using, none of this fannying about with the post, and lets hold on to the tickets til nearer the time mentality, just put them on sale and get on with it. in my opinion saints have made it harder for themselves then need be. It isn't that many more tickets than the pompey home cup game, have the ticket office windows open and let people queue if they want. makes the sales windows shorter, there is a week and a half between season ticket holder window and database, mental. We should be pushing to have the biggest club support ever at the new Wembley
-
It would be interesting to know how much we actually stand to earn from the wembley final. If the final attendance is say 70,000 (45k saints + 25k carlisle) quite a bit of ticket revenue depending on percentage share. Televised game - usual a share of that. Additional merchandise sales, i see the foam hands , jester hats etc are on sale. £3 booking fees £25 healthy profit on the coaches. Presume they are still making a decision on moving the away fans for next season before releasing season ticket details.
-
are you sure? Carlisle had theirs last week.
