I do not work for Greyhound either, but have travelled down from London with them and can confirm you get at least 2 x more leg room than normal coaches, really comfortable seats and they are cheap, couldn't fault them at all.

tickets went on sale to Carlisle fans today, spoke to my mate who went down there, had to queue for one hour, bought 9 tickets per season ticket holder WITH NO BOOKING FEE, all sorted.
-
I have tried emailing the club ticket office email address to get my online account set up but still not had a reply, does anyone have a direct contact at the club who can get this done? email address or phone

you can imagine the conversations down there, trying to convince each other that the skates support is "best in the world"....... but wait, what is going on, southampton have just had 30k for a JPT game which if they were in would be lucky to get double figures.... oh it must be because they are giving tickets away. As things stand our average this year will be higher than their capacity.

That game was after the days of Case, Flowers and Rudduck, it was in 1996 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996%2F97-Wycombe-Wanderers-v-Southampton-Friendly_W0QQitemZ120524527551QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxq20100131?IMSfp=TL100131171001r38802 programme still available. unless there was another game a few years before that.

Not really. Look at AFC Wimbledon, they have only been going for a relatively short period of time (as a comparison about the same period from the last pompey derby in '05 to now) and they are already back on the conference challenging for promotion to the league and have made the FA Cup 1st round.

Reading that makes me sick. Fingers crossed for the next week to go quickly, just get the whole thing over and done with. I just feel they are somehow going to get out of it.
-
I agree it is a joke, it almost seems like they have purposely made it difficult to go through the process of buying tickets, and for this reason i bet there will be loads left when they go on general sale on the 15th and people will just go down there any buy tickets then

can storrie be charged with assisted suicide (of a football club) ?

Pomp*y Wants to sell players - OUTSIDE the transfer window
JRM replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
The fact that they had a month to sell their players and decided not to, and then actually brought in more players prior to our game in the knowledge they had no way of paying them is nothing short of cheating and the sooner they get shut down the better. In a more extreme example, saints could have signed the entire man united team, thrashed pompey, then said sorry we can't actually afford the transfer fees or wages, never mind, can you open the window again so we can sell them. -
There will be hundreds of tickets left for pay on the day, we won't get anywhere near selling out so not a problem at all.
-
coaches are a rip off, keep an eye out and see if Greyhound offer a service for the game, would be much cheaper. Or get a load together and hire your own coach. could go via a pub then.

CAT 1 = Orange seats blocks 222-231 middle tier south stand. CAT 2 = purple seats. Prime half-way line seats and some middle tier. CAT 3 - Green seats - behind goals lower tier and side stand upper tier centre CAT 4 - Yellow seats - behind goal upper tiers, not a bad view but quite a way from the action. It is a similar breakdown to what they have for England games. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/staticFiles/36/49/0,,10280~149814,00.pdf

It is clear? That will be £34 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/staticFiles/36/49/0,,10280~149814,00.pdf

No for Wembley best place is defintely the end behind the goal to create atmosphere

typical saints making it much more complicated than it needs to be! General sale should come up much earlier, people will hold back so they can buy tickets with large groups of mates / family who do not go as regularly. Fairly good chance they will give us more tickets, but if we don't sell out til mid-march might be too late to arrange that.

odds on a paper plane sailing down and hitting one of their players about to take a corner, only for him to crumble to a heap clutching his head?
-
I have said this on other threads, I am getting p*ssed off with everyone going on about how much of a mess they are in, yet to me they have been able to get away with far too much and arrive at st marys with a team containing some quality players. It should not be allowed, embargo should still be in place, and they should have been forced to sell more during the window to pay the tax man
-
so they will be free to mix in with saints fans on the corner with the ticket office / itchen corner? could be interesting

So who's travelling the furthest for the Pompey game?
JRM replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
its up to you, but it is just as quick this weekend going from Paddington to Reading (25mins) then direct train from there. Tickets are valid and saves you having to go via Havant. -
So if Man City playing badly made them look good, just imagine how good they could look against US playing badly..... My completely unbiased Fulham mate reckons they played well at Craven Cottage and were unlucky to lose, played some good neat football moving forward, so I think they are still heavy favourites. you never know though.

any news on the 1318 tickets for Norwich?
-
it is still a poor reflection on our support that this has been so slow to sell out. watching big derbies on the tele the commentators normally begin with "this game could have sold out several times over" "tickets are like gold dust for this fierce local derby" guess they can use footage of the overnight queue to make it look like that. but still got to wonder why 48 hours before kick off tickets are still on sale. Hope the atmosphere lives up to expectations and goes right around the ground saturday.

FAO: Those who want to stand & sing at Wembley
JRM replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
He's not wrong though. For the majority of the game most of kingsland, all chapel and Itchen (except corner) were silent - as usual.
