  1. I am still waiting for 9 tickets as well, really annoying. I know for a fact that the ticket office was in possession of our tickets much earlier when they put them on sale, i really don't know why they decided to wait until the 15th to start sending them out. Carlisle sent them at time of sale, and also gave their fans the option of buying in person from the ticket office where they handed them over the counter (with no booking fee)
  2. On the basis that we have a 32k ground to try and fill it would be good for saints to match Swindons prices and aim for crowds around 26k to help with the promotion push Norwich have a similar deal and have sold 18,500 season tickets for next year already

    Hartlepool

i bet this will be the smallest away attendance we have ever seen at st marys for a competitive fixture. Could even be under 100. Fair play to any hartlepool who make the journey. i predict 16,500
  4. well according to that they have only sold 1,150 so far, so they must be expecting another 900 to buy today + pay on the gate. I thought they would bring closer to 3000 as this is a big game for them both in league position and almost a local derby. Would be good to see a crowd over 22k for this one.
  5. would it be ready for the world cup in 2018? maybe we could host the final ???
  6. Hornseysaint, you haven't got a clue pal. if saints v Leeds were in the final it would be a sell out. Wembley would not say hold on, you are not allowed to sell all the tickets, both teams would take full allocation. You are making this up based on some assumption, clearly you have read somewhere that wembley are only allowed a certain number of events, but you have provided no evidence of a) how many they are allowed b) that JPT final could not be one of them.
  7. agree 100% mate. Baffles me, some weird personal agendas from people on here, maybe that is a symptom of being on internet forums to much. we could do with more people highlighting issues like that, if Nick has a contact at the media that he has been able to use, then i say well done. Even if we don't get anymore tickets in the end the least we should do is try. The club have been quiet on this, would have thought Luker would have made a public request from more tickets to appease the fans.
  8. fair play to him for making the issue public, the football league / wembley etc should be embarrassed by their lack of organisation and planning. better than you just coming on here trying to have a cheap dig at the saints trust.
  9. you're point is completely irrelevant, you are confusing segregation / our request for more tickets and wembley not wanting a full house. if leeds had won the penalty shoot out against carlisle this would be a 90k sell out.
  10. there are about 4 or 5 members of the southampton "football intelligence unit" that seem to take turns attending away games. they had a great day out filming with their pals from BBC, then spent the next few weeks as you say in a room with popcorn watching the films they made and now get to go around hunting people. complete waste of public tax money / resources. being world cup year they might have been given a larger budget to get more banning orders.
  11. It is a long debate to get into now, but lets be honest, people like the islamic cleric from Tottenham, Choudary, and his pals, nearly all turn out to be on large benefits paying for numerous kids, houses, yet still find time to run islamic fundamentalist groups and and fit enough to go on marches.......yet not to work
  12. plus also baring in mind we have sold over 44,000 tickets for wembley as well during this time.
  13. yeah not bad 9th Feb v MK Dons = 29,901 13th Feb v Pompey = 31,385 27th Feb v Walsall = 20,461 2nd Mar v Huddersfield = 19,821 13th Mar v Leeds = 31,000 (est)
  14. that sounds good over 30k sold already. would have thought those 120 corporate seats will sell quickly at £25 each, best view with "comfy" seats http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1991027,00.html not sure how they will stop the 120 from mingling in with the other corporates though!
  15. I said all along that they will end up being ok, despite relegation it is turning out to be a good season for them, trip to Wembley and beating us will certainly be remembered fondly, all done while fielding a team of players that should not have been on the pitch. They are making staff redundant, yet have players there on LOAN, some of which were signed after the transfer embargo was lifted at the end of January. I have become increasing bored of speculative comments on here "don't worry they are toast" etc etc etc, almost self-congratulatory, when most on here haven't got a clue and have made assumptions based on media reports and other posters comments. At the very least I want to see them relegated and start next season with a very heavy points deduction. I would not be at all surprised to see them in the championship with a good enough team to compete and no points deducted
  16. which defeats the object when they can buy in the home end?
  17. the Leeds programme has attendances with the away following in brackets next to it. If the away section was sold out they put an asterix. Leeds have sold out for every away game this year apart from Darlington in the cup.
  18. another case of the utter cluelessness of people on here when it comes to support of other clubs. Leeds could EASILY have sold out 3200 they probably would even bring 5k if we gave it to them. for whatever reason we have given them a smaller allocation (not sure why) but by having tickets on general sale we have just invited Leeds to buy in the home end. They have already taken over parts of the home sections at Exeter and MK Dons this season, so expect there to be a number of them around the ground saturday
  19. it was only a matter of time until this happened to someone. I have posted in the past the ridiculous use of "post" as a means for application, Exeter away was the same, too many factors that could go wrong (inc relying on Royal Mail) and then in this case relying on someone actually placing the application in the correct pile and not under a pile of paper somewhere and forgetting about it. I think our booking system / ticket office is quite amatuerish in its operations i'm just doing my letter for Brighton away, got 6 tickets to request on there if we are over subscribed hopefully there will be no errors on the allocation.
  20. Connolly could be back - http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/PreviewDetail/0,,10280~1990429,00.html thought this game would have sold out by now?
  21. maybe i am missing something, but other than corporate entertainment, why would anyone buy club wembley memberships at the vast prices charged?
  22. the town will be swamped with extra tickets? Don't think so mate, of course there will be some spares going around nearer the time, but most people who bought extra were for friends or family who wanted to go, and there is clearly still appetite for more tickets. the 20 foreign student point you make was referring to the Leeds game - by the way expect a large number of Leeds fans in our end on saturday.
  23. if tickets had been on completely open general sale, how many do you think we could have sold? I think about 60k, obviously many of these will be people in southampton who take an interest in saints but not really fans, plus family + mates of regulars who would come along for the day out.
  24. it will be nice to have the squad picture at the start of next season with a trophy at their feet. when Luton won it they even gave fans a chance to have their picture taken with it, the trophy is massive, about 3ft tall!
  25. it was 1990 Jan - 3rd round FA Cup day, Saints had 7000 at White Hart Lane for our 3-1 win to knock out spurs. the skates had a similar number up that day playing Crystal Palace i think and the events at Covent Garden made the national press
