  1. but more reasonably pricing and sales incentives (similar to what we had last season) on the back of the JPT win we could have been looking at crowds of 22-26k, which are huge crowds for league one, we shouldnt then need to increase pricing, probably ending with the same income on lower crowds.
  2. f*cking hell, we are in the THIRD division can you stop going on about the HUGE money needed. We would benefit more from higher crowds / atmosphere, than the 15k we will end up with for a lot of games where people who used to be season ticket holders will instead be at home / in the pub. I resent paying a online £3 booking fee on principle.
  3. Last season they seemed to be particularly slow putting away tickets on sale, sometimes details appeared only a couple of weeks before the game. the only good thing about being in the f*cking 3rd division was to get away from all the commerial rip offs and visit some proper old football grounds. i'll pay on the gate where possible away next season
  4. so to summarise there are a fair few of us who: a) seriously considering whether or not to renew season tickets. / stay in the pub for most home games. b) will pay on the day for most away games next season (anywhere other than Dagenham, Exeter, Brighton, Yeovil, Bournemouth should be ok) I wonder if they will come up with any other daft charges for their "postal applications" fiasco which they will no doubt do again. in the finance industry they are obsessed with add ons charges which supplements profit, but are blatantly just price increases. I think we can all see straight through this profiteering and it will put quite a few off.
  5. well said. I agree completely, so many smug c*nts on here almost laughing at other fans. the fans charter has been shown to be a waste of time.
  6. No we have no way of knowing what real reasoning is behind decision, the club are again showing awful lack of communication skills, early notification with a proper explanation would have helped. And fans like you should be supporting others who want to go but due to club selling policy may not renew, it is in all of our interests to get as many in the ground as possible. The excuse given is cost, which is laughable given the amount of money we throw around as a "business"

    Online Renewals

if they are charging £3 per order then call up and get your monies worth, there are a couple of sorts who work in the ticket office so you might get 5 minutes flirting included. bonus.
  8. it is times like this when it would be good to have an active fans group to voice disapproval of such poor decisions being made by the club.
  9. have you seen the poll? 1/3rd not renewing which could obviously be inaccurate. lets see if they publish the number sold in 3 weeks time - will be interesting.
  10. again missing the obvious point. without the incentive of the price plan they will LOSE business, the overall effect across the financial year will be a reduction in income, not increase. and if they need the money NOW for signings, then put the tickets on sale in March like they used to, they would be into the 4th installment by now. and from a fans point of view it is bad for all of us, the atmosphere is bad enough at st marys without thousands of empty seats.
  11. you really don't have a clue how buisness works. having installments is not costing the club money!!! installments = sales incentive. sales incentive = more tickets sold even if income spread over 6 months rather than one hit. no sales incentive = lower sales = reduced net income overall. summary - you cannot compare offering installments with the need to pay for the squad/facilities, for that you can only look at the prices.
  12. You should reply to that email and say not good enough, if you don't know please refer my query to your manager. I just think the communications department at the club are a mess at the moment. The end of last season was very strange, the southend programme affair when no one was able to give a comment or explanation. As I am on holiday for 2 weeks in June I think i will not renew and just stick to the away games next year, can see crowds being down and the atmosphere at st marys has been getting worse over last couple of seasons anyway.
  13. "a perfectly nice club with decent fans" they can f*ck off. patronising description, i'm supporting north korea, they have better haircuts than the south
  14. haha, forgot about her. That was a very friendly family, you going to do the away game next year and try to hunt them down? Please they got promoted as a new ground, easy away day, but from what I know of Dagenham it isn't the sort of place you'd want to spend much time, drink in london as late as possible then tube (district line) over there, hopefully West Ham wont be at home on the same day.
  15. have you been posting on their fans board again ? that was funny
  16. specific page on Istanbul http://www.budgetairlinefootball.co.uk/140601/63201.html
  17. I was over there in 2008, went to see Fenebache v Ankara, quite easy to get tickets went down the ground the day before and bought them from the ticket office. Also got a nice ferry journey over to the ground. I think you would struggle getting a ticket for one of the derby games, Galatasaray v Besiktas was on the same weekend I was there but was played behind closed doors. There is actually a 4th team in Istanbul, called BBS Istanbul. I saw them play at the Ataturk stadium (where Liverpool won the champions league) , bit of a strange team as they dont have any fans which is a bit eerie in a 80k odd capacity stadium. Apparently they were formed as a merger of other clubs when they were trying to find a club to play in the new stadium. I recommend using this website for researching your trip - http://www.budgetairlinefootball.co.uk/140601/index.html
  18. yep that would be good. or Dagenham if they dont get promoted this weekend.
  19. Excellent news. I am going to give the first team a miss this year and follow the reserves across the continent.
  20. but government makes policy to reflect the population, so it is significant. would you like George Galloway to be your MP?
  21. no. but a part of north london notorious for having a loony left council. to be fair it isn't just a muslim issue, there are more factors than that. i remember it kicking off all the time between the turks and the kurds. suppose an education like that teaches you a lot about international relations.
  22. what percentage of the British population was muslim 20 years ago? what percentage is there today? and what if this trend continues????? the only butchers where i grew up were all halal........ and christmas at school wasn't called christmas...........
  23. I know, this is what annoys me. You can have some of the people on the demo's who have no real understansing on the issues and you are right in what motivates them. But I get just as frustrated listening to patronising middle-class politicians lecturing people on what is right and wrong, when they themselves would NEVER live in those areas, and would certainly never allow their children to have to go through a school like that. Do you remember the girl in Bradford who wanted to wear a headscarf to school just so she could "fit in" ? Personally, I have seen the best of both sides, got some great mates who are muslim and really well integrated to society, see themselves as English through and through, a lot of that comes from their parents. But there are many others who are happy to express their hatred of britain, Choudry, Abu Hamza are figure heads, but there are plenty in the schools who look up to them.
  24. This forum really is full of liberal democrats. Enjoy your vegetarian dinners
  25. key points: 1) by putting the tickets on sale at a later point reduces the selling windows for discounts etc. 2) They have missed their best marketing opportunity to sell / raise awareness of deals they might offer. Close season people not looking at saints website/match programme/stadium announcements. 3) I am off on holiday mid-end June. Bound to end up spending more that i budget for as that 's what happens on holidays, doubt i will bother renewing until i get paid in July.
