Tommy Forecast deserves a mention................ and Olly Lancashire for his performances at Grimsby
-
it is all part of the establishment conspriacy. It comes from the top down, home office, courts, police. they are all in on it.
-
Good luck to all the lads involved. Anyone who has had run ins with the skates over the years, England games etc, and who had to sit through them gloating at the end of a 4-1 home defeat can surely understand why just going for a quiet walk home wasn't such a simple option
-
Point 1 - Saints team and fans will be complacent, Oldham aren't up to much but are capable of making it tough for us and had a good win on Saturday. Point 2 - There will be about 100 Oldham fans at this game, so unless there is a big walk up I reckon the crowd will only be about 18k-19k. However, if we can get 3 points tomorrow night I think we could get up to 25k for the Carlisle game

Having just re-read my post, i can't help thinking despite being a dump Gillingham must be the perfect commuter town with direct trains to London Bridge, Waterloo East, Charing Cross on one line, Victoria on the other, and now St Pancras on the high speed line! I don't beleive the town is worthy of such a service.
-
arriving into waterloo it recommended route is via waterloo east, or clapham/victoria depending on the times. st pancras - Gillingham is the best route for anyone travelling from the North of London, and is the fastest London - Gillingham line, just need to factor is time getting across London to st pancras, and I am not sure if Southampton - Gillingham tickets would be valid going that way. Trains from Waterloo East take about an hour to Gillingham, but do stop at London Bridge and Charlton. We will probably be earlier with the extra distance to travel, but Leeds will have loads down for that game.
-
It is better to travel from Victoria to Gillingham, but if you end up going from London Bridge worth bearing in mind there will be about 3000 Leeds on their way to Charlton that day. Not many other games in London due to the championship finishing on sunday 2nd, might have a couple of Brighton passing through on the way to MK Dons. Depending on what tube lines are running London is definitely the best shout for pre-match beer.
-
does anyone have connections at the club who could ask around about away games? If we were to be playing anywhere decent at the end of July / start of August it would be good to have a bit of notice to get on the cheap flights.
-
rubbish allocation though, last away game of the season on a bank holiday i reckon we could have taken loads, 3000 or so. Official site doesn't mention anymore tickets being available, but if we sell 1400 this week hopefully they can sort something out.
-
a picture of the away end and more info can be found here http://www.footballgroundguide.com/gillingham/

Tickets are already on sale. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~2022122,00.html £23 is a rip off for an uncovered temporary stand. but it is last away game of the season, may bank holiday, not far to travel, new ground for a quite a few fans, and we only have 1400 allocation, so this will sell out very quickly.
-
this would be funny if it wasn't for the fact you can guarantee the tv commentators will w&nk about how amazing their support is on Sunday. Hope Spurs embarrass them, 5-0 up by half time.
-
I actually think footballers should be forced to choose one of their surnames and stick with it, none of this nonsense. I mean can you imagine Jordace Holder-Spooner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberline being read out before a game. I've never understood double barrelled surnames, at what point do you stop? Stu Holder-Spooner-Oxlade-Chamberline?
-
Gillingham is a dump mate, but we do get to go through London, so chance for a good few beers after the game, and it is the last away game of the season, on May bank holiday weekend....
-
when he gets the ball he takes the **** holder, holder spooner holder-spooner holder-spooner holder, holder-spooner, when he gets the ball he takes the **** holder, holder-spooner can't wait for him to get in the first team.
-
Turkish, i thought you always said its better to have 100 And sing then 1000 and sit in silence?
-
I thought it was a poor match last night, we definitely did not deserve to win, Ostemobor looked very weak at right back, nervous on the ball, crosses even worse than James' gentle lobs into the box, and was beaten by their left winger several times. Think a new right back for next season would be good. Think most of the saints team have been on the beer since the cup final as we were slow and really lacked ideas. Got to be the last season for Wotten. Going to the ground reminded me of visiting lower league foreign football, very poor atmosphere though from both sets of fans, not surprising really with uncovered temporary stands miles from the pitch. Other than a couple of goods games (Norwich) we have been very poor away from home since Christmas, Colchester, Wycombe, Brentford, Exeter, Tranmere, Brighton. That is worrying for next season.
-
Will go to the game as not got much else to do, but recent league matches have had the feel of end of season affairs, I don't think we are playing like a side who are genuinely chasing promotion, the atmosphere from the fans has also been very flat.... looking forward to Yeovil away as a new ground, other than that would be happy for the season to finish now and get on with the next. any news on ticket sales for Monday? for those of you who go onto other teams forums, any idea how many Orient have sold / expect to bring? I reckon 22k with 800 from Orient.
-
I think Carlisle away is worth a mention for the train journey / day out. Hartlepool as well was good. Swindon one of the worst. but depends if you ignore the game and just look at the day out
-
Not going to be many tickets to go round for this one: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~2011373,00.html £15 for terrace, the same price for seats. 1,594 terrace 360 seats I can see quite a few local saints going in the home end for this one.
-
in theory it should be a sell out. Trophy paraded around the pitch at some point, bank holiday so not many working. but i bet it will only be about 24k.
-
spoke to the ticket office earlier due to an error on my application, they think just under 100 will go on general sale on monday, but could not guarantee it
-
Good luck to all the lads involved, fingers crossed for them the crown will kick it out as a waste of time

Obviously there are a number of saints fans that are from England who have moved abroad and carry on following the club, but what I find more interesting are those lads who follow saints from abroad, some making a real effort at great cost to come over for games, yet do not have any real attachment with the city. I know some Italian saints have come over a few times. Scandinavians and the Dutch. The Russian saints had a superb flag at Norwich at home this season, would be good to see a picture of that again. The irish saints are also well represented, fair play to the lads as most over there just support Liverpool, Man Utd or one of the Glasgow clubs.
-
I like the idea of various saints supporters clubs all over Europe. I know there are a few Italian Saints coming over for the game. http://www.italiansaints.it/
