  1. good news, is that from Luker? another 700 sold in a day? if we get close to selling the 2k i better call up and get my mates tickets instead of them paying on the day.
  2. surely we are the only club in the country who can have a trip to Millwall thread debating whether the tate or the natural history museum would be good substitutes for a called off game!! haha worth having a few options, i'm pleased we haven't got any northern away games this month with expensive pre-booked train tickets. I reckon the game will be on anyway, forecast of 6 degrees in London on Friday
  3. Yep, fingers crossed for a tough tie, with extra time, a couple of sendings off and injuries leaving them well under strength for saturday. There are loads of pubs near London Bridge, and on a saturday will be welcoming enough to football crowds so you have the choice of drinking at waterloo, or short train journey or jubilee line to London Bridge. Train from there to South Bermondsey is only 4 mins. Infact door to door this is probably the easiest away game this season by train!! (well about equal with Brentford)
  4. Haven't there been quite a few cases in Italy, where financial irregularities have resulted in relegation for the teams involved, Fiorentina, Genoa, couple of others as well I think.
  5. No need to calm down as neither of them were being aggressive. How about Solent Don explains: How long has he supported them and why? How would he feel if they started to struggle, lost their ground, and started playing 80 miles away in a new town, with a new name etc.......
  6. Yep, when I called up last Thursday we have only just sold 700, so sounds like not much more interest then!! It is quite embarrassing, I've got a couple of mates who might come along who follow other london clubs who are not playing that day, coversation went like this: "Millwall? yeah i wouldnt mind doing that, how many tickets have you got?" "about 2000" "do you reckon you can get me one or will it sell out to season ticket holders" me - "actually it is pay on the day and we probably wont even sell out" my mate supports a team who I regularly take the mick out of their away support so not very good!
  7. Well I think it would be fair to say those who make more of an effort to go to games are better fans actually. If you choose not to go then fair enough.
  8. autograph hunters outside the players entrance could bump into this: http://www.outofaces.com/cassie-sumner
  9. wonder if she will attend games, even sitting in the saints section of away game? if she sits near me I'll make sure she joins in any goal celebrations ;-) remember Cov away years ago when Le Tissier was seeing that bird off Home & Away and she was in the away end.
  10. yes but the bad news is he is cup tied in the FA Cup!
  11. I know Jackanory, I know he knows this player, that much I can confirm. Whether he will end up moving here is completely uncertain as clubs always have to negotiate and if other teams also bid at the last minute things can change so no point speculating really. Do you remember when saints always used to miss out on players we wanted and Lowe would always blame it on other clubs "being alerted to the players availablilty" by the press coverage!
  12. when i called up for tickets earlier today I was told we have only sold 700 for this so far, I know they are not on general sale yet, but we have already sold more than that for MK Dons which only went on sale a couple of days ago
  13. Would be superb to have two signings before Millwall away, can't see much happening for the next week due to snow, and clubs are bound to take a while in negotiations with another 3 weeks of the window still to go. Will be interesting if we make a couple of "big signings" if we then let others leave.
  14. Its a good point, we are already guaranteed to be playing 57 games this season, plus maybe a JPT final, more FA Cup, and maybe even play off games. I have missed 3 games so far this season, hats off to anyone who does the lot.
  15. yeah lets hope so, i notice Charlton v Hartlepool this weekend is off according to bbc fixtures, and thats only down the road from millwall
  16. there are a few not far from the station, i've been in here before and it was ok, but wasn't on a match day http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/53/5319/Eight_Belles/Bletchley
  17. Pardew should try and take the players away to spain for a training camp for a few days, bit short notice though. what are the indoor facilities like at staplewood? it does mean that players like Jaidi and Connolly who missed the Luton game will not have played for 3 weeks by the time we play Millwall. Strange month now, 1 game in first 15 days, then 5 in the last 16.
  18. the game is off according to fixtures on bbc http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/fixtures/default.stm
  19. we are in the end with the terrace lower tier seats upper tier. Both covered by same roof.
  20. Tickets go on sale for this tomorrow http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1925009,00.html 1200 terrace tickets - £20 544 seats - £21 1744 in total. Expect this to sell out despite the number of games we have coming up
  21. This is excellent news to help boost our support. Have got Greyhound down from London and they are excellent, really nice modern coaches, about double the leg room you usually get, very comfortable seats, plus a complimentary newspaper. Looking at that link it looks like they are doing it cheaper than the travelclub as well. Recommend it for anyone looking at alternative way to travel. £13 for MK and £11 for Millwall and Brentford.
  22. http://www.footballgroundguide.com/milton_keynes_dons/ Directions to the ground on here
  23. think it was the same when we played MK at home, programme had "played for both" article with David Connolly playing for Wimbledon which is ridiculous as they are a completely different club by name / ground / history.
  24. you're probably right, but it is only a 100 miles or so drive and one round from wembley. dont blame anyone for missing it if you have to pick and choose as on tv and got millwall, brentford and exeter all around the same time away as well
  25. reading it again I think you can all get tickets, you will just need to get a unique customer number for each one, so for example the day they go on sale to non-season ticket holders call up and use your number for ticket number 1, then ticket 2 get them to set up another customer number etc, you might need your mates name and address, but in theory that should work. It doesnt say you actually need to have a purchase history, just one per customer (they dont even really need to exist) then you pay for the lot and have them sent to you.
