Yes exactly what I've been thinking, chasing shadows in the middle most of the time
-
Didn't our new owners say they had already identified Ralph's replacement?
-
The ultimate shame will be if one ends up 7th in the Europa Conference league , but I can't see West Ham getting enough points to catch either of them.
-
Bournemouth getting a 90+8 equaliser, looking shaky with Huddersfield and Forest on their tails. Still possible for Luton or Millwall in the play offs
-
Play Reading twice in a week then Chelsea, got a great chance 👍
-
Why because if you told me at Christmas we'd get to 40 points and Newcastle would be ahead of us by then having only won a single game at that point it would seem unbelievable
-
Going to finish comfortably above us, unbelievable really
-
I can't think of any other away grounds where we have a record as good as it is as the AMEX , I must have seen us win there 5 times maybe more , gives us hope
-
Brighton 2-0 Saints Can see a few changes to the team but no one who will make enough difference. Trains are a mess , not much to look forward to for the travelling fans
-
It's a fair comparison when you look at United going through the motions losing at Anfield we are the same just seeing out the season, something doesn't seem right within the club.
-
Yeah bus replacement through that part of London will be a nightmare. Going into Waterloo then tube probably makes most sense. Going via Virginia Water at least gets right to the ground and option to stop at random places for a beer, but I used to live on that line at Isleworth and those trains stop so many times every couple of mins does make for a slow journey.
-
If Burnley do go down I'd hope we go for a few of their players
-
Griffin Park was much better than this new ground, pub on each corner, think we sold out 1600 for the friendly but at least that made general sale , always a popular away day
-
The line south of Kew Bridge is open so depending where you're coming from you can come round on the loop line from Weybridge/ Staines route right up to the ground , I know someone going Reading - Virginia Water / Virginia Water - Kew Bridge.
-
Bottom 4 clubs have all beaten us this season, that's how bad we can be
-
Lyanco just doesn't look convincing to me, remember him getting bullied by Oli McBurnie on his debut away to Sheff Utd, these sort of fixtures not ideal for him , I'd rather play Stephens
-
Allah akbar
-
If it does happen I can cope with that if it contributes to Evertons relegation
-
I agree and It looks likely to happen, Newcastle are on such a fantastic run of form I think it will carry them to a top 10 place, I expected them to make lots of changes in the summer, maybe they'll stick with what they've got, Howe deserves a lot of credit.
-
It's great but will mean nothing if we don't beat Wolves unfortunately, got to keep the momentum going for another month Will be nice for our trophy cabinet to have something to add to the collection
-
If Saints win tonight will they lift the league winners trophy? I see Wolves have theirs and still have games to play, would be nice (if we win) if they do it tonight
-
At least we know we'll be playing Brentford away again next season so another chance to tick off the ground then. Annoying the train line between Clapham and Kew Bridge is closed that weekend
-
Cheers, I remember reading Pompey fans were advised to sit in block 12 so hopefully won't end up too close to Westwood and his bell https://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/2022/april/southampton-a-tickets-on-sale/
-
They've put two more blocks on sale now so plenty available
-
Just went on to get tickets and it says this event is no longer available, surely they will open up more blocks ? Probably other families having a look being the school holidays who now won't go , seems a shame to miss the chance to get a decent crowd in
