Do people really decide not to go to a game if it's raining?
-
Not much chance of that, seeing as he is joining a club managed by Gary Megson.
-
Impressive collection Spudgun. Personal favs down the years are Adidas Samba, Rom, Gazelle, Kopenhagen,Tokio, London and Beckenbaur. Plus Patrick Arendal, Gola Harrier, although i've always been fond of Clark Originals for desert boots etc.

I Remember years ago watching Saints with 3 left backs in the side under Branflake. Adams, Charton and Benali in the starting line up. We lost.
-
Even if Saints needed another left back, would Citeeh pay his 75K a week wages?
-
Call me old fashioned, but i like my defenders to be able to defend which Richardson can certainly do. He has looked solid at right back this season and i think the critics are being a bit harsh. It seems Saints fans always need a scapegoat. It was recently Seaborne who had played well this season and also Hammond. It was not so long ago we had Lloyd James playing right back. Good going forward with a decent cross but couldn't defend for toffee. Before that Jermaine Wright................... Ostlund......

Worked and and up until this year lived there for 20 years. Great city. You can eat at least 40 different types of countries cuisine. Some great hotels in the city centre now and there has always been a good night life there(probably due to the rain). Like Ian Brown once said "Manchester has everything except a beach".

They are just as stupid though. Choudray has only about 20 fellow nutters who follow him. Had to laugh at the EDL Leader dressing up as a Rabbi in disguise to try and avoid getting caught breaking his bail conditions at thier latest demo. He is now on hunger strike. At least he will be safe from those muslamic ray guns on remand.
-
Most people despise the EDL and Muslims against crusades to be fair and don't take either of them seriously as they are both extremist nutters. Don't think we have anyone on here stupid enough to be a member of either group. Not even the right wing members.

Martin ..or Hooiveld on Saturday?
AndyNorthernSaints replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Why would he not be used to this standard? he had a playing career before Celtic. I'm sure Blackburn and Wigan think Goodwillie and Maloney are up to their standard to play following their recent signings. -

Worst away day ever. Souless place miles away from any decent pubs. Nice walk along canal in the dark last time i went there. Much preferred trips to the old ground.
-
Three days???? More like ten minutes really. Anyway can't be arsed to debate anymore with the resident forum cyber warrior hardman. Adios.

Didn't mention anything about what the club should do so you have lost me on that statement. Could you be a bit more condescending in your replies please. It's what makes this forum so great. Cheers. Did

Two pronged attack from SWF gang i see. The original point being made several pages back was big name or money signings do not necessary mean success. Just look at Saints in the past with Delgado, Delap etc or so called well known names like Hughes, Groves, Hurst, .Loans and undisclosed fees still mean players wages. Macheda going on loan to Sampdoria was seen as a "name" signing and failed. He was **** poor. Saints fans demanding big name and money signings is stupid given our recent history. Cheers again for nice comments.

SWF User You Would Most Like To Go For A Pint With

I've had a few pints with ericofarabia at away games and a few others who post on here. Least likely to want to have a beer with the forum trolls Dune/Stanley, Turkish and Delldays. -
As someone who follows the fortunes of Sampdoria quite closely i can tell you Macheda was very poor in his loan spell last season and did not score a league goal, only scoring one goal in the Coppa Italia. Sampdoria were relegated btw. Anyway here's some more big money flops for you. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/may/18/flop-of-the-season-premier-league http://blog.sport.co.uk/Football/952/Top_Ten_Big_Money_transfer_flops.aspx http://www.richardlenton.co.uk/top-10-big-money-flops http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274134 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1181628/THE-LIST-The-biggest-transfer-flops-Premier-League-history--10.html http://www.talksport.co.uk/magazine/top-ten/2011-01-18/veron-mutu-keane-and-reyes-top-10-expensive-transfer-flops

Ok i'll bite. Man Utd – Taibi, Veron, Forlan, Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba, Bebe, Obertan, Bellion, Poborsky, Millar,Bartoz, Bosnich…. Chelsea – Zhirkov, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Adrian Mutu, Scott Parker, Brian Laudrup, Winston Bogard, Chris Sutton, Veron, Shevchenko, Bhoularouz, Del Horno, Geremi, Duff, Crespo, Pizarro, Glen Johnson, Tal Ben Haim, Deco, Kezman……. Will probably be many others not so high profile.

I will stick with my prediction of play offs. Think there was only a couple of other like minded posters in the poll before the season started.
-
Well said. The usual suspects will write players off because he's come from SPL Team even though none of them have seen him play or watch scottish football. I don't remember anyone writing off our new left back Fox when he was signed as he played for Celtic not long ago. Don't remember Man Utd being worried about ex Celtic player Henrik Larrson when he was in his mid 30's or Wigan signing Maloney from Celtic yesterday who was not a regular starter for Celtic. The modern football fan wants instant success and big name signings i'm afraid. I'd rather have a talented youngster playing his heart out for Saints or a promising lower league player who has something to prove etc rather than an over paid over the hill ex premier league player. West Ham are welcome to the likes of Bentley (i'm too tired to play for England u21's) I think the likes of them and Leicester are gambling the future of their clubs on promotion this season and will be fooked if they fail.
