  1. The disturbed thick pathetic sad racist individuals who spend their lives on internet forums trying to wind up other Saints fans.
  2. 6 Music in the evening and on way home from work. Classic FM needed at work.
  3. Ghost Town by the Specials should be sung At Coventry to acknowledge their demise.
  4. Celtic Park and Ibrox are pretty impressive stadiums to be fair and the football is not as poor as alot of people make out. Take that from someone who actually watches it. I'm sure both Old Firm have a better chance of Champions league and Europa league qualification than Saints do at the moment so that might be a factor. Saying that Saints should be able to make Celtic a decent offer for him in January hopefully.
  5. http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/Just+Can't+Get+Enough+-+Song Maybe we could change the words to this Celtic fans song? was pretty impressive when i was at Hampdem Park in last seasons Scottish Cup final.
  6. Do you live near the Quorn Hunt in Leicestershire Stanley? Was reading something about them following a scented trail rather than a fox now. Thought it was quite amusing that the Quorn Hunt should be making do with a meat substitute!
  7. I walked it from waterfront pubs last time and had police escort for half a dozen of us all the way :-(. Must have been the trainers i was wearing. "Bit over the top policing" is what i told the copper escorting me to which he just replied"Intelligence"???? Got the water taxi back to town after game when Police tried to stop Saints fans leaving. Not the most enjoyable away day out that day.
  8. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/oct/26/leroy-rosenior-racism-football Leroy Rosenior's comments on racism in the game and Terry. Including getting spat at by young fan at Pompey. No surpise there.
  9. Excellent programme. Sir David Attenbourgh is worth the licence fee alone.
  10. If you are looking at an experienced manager then look no further than a Scottish manager seeing as Scots have been the most successful managers in the british game. Current one is Sir Alex Ferguson who would have been good, unlike Hoddle who has won nothing as a manager in the game.
  11. http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/2011/oct/20/tv-review-mixed-britannia Review of excellent programme on BBC2 last night. Did anyone else watch this?
  12. Sam Allardyce is Graham Taylor with an ear piece. Would be Mike Bassett as England manger picking Benson and Hedges for the team. BTW who would be your choice for the job?
  13. To be fair if you read his autobiography you will find he knows quite alot about football and travelled around the world learning from coaches etc when he retired from playing. Didn't have the resources Man City they have now and is not helped in his current role by players not being made available by premier league clubs or being too tired!!!? like Wilshire. As a player for England i've always liked Pearce and wished some of todays plays showed the same passion he did playing for England.
  14. Great news. Hope to be at Heaton Park. Will be an amazing atmosphere even if Ian Brown's live vocals can be pretty poor. Best and favourite Manchester band ever IMO and that includes Joy Division, New order, Smiths, James, Buzzcocks, Fall, Happy Mondays etc Reni must have finished his loft conversion at last.
  15. Old St Georges boy then mate.
  16. Troller is looking for a response...ANY response, and he will chum the waters with complaints, insults, compliments, and inflammatory tidbits hoping that someone...ANYONE, will take the bait. Generally quite harmless - practices a form of catch and release. Nonetheless, he can upset the delicate ecology of a discussion forum. Once a forum becomes aware of his presence, however, all feeding activity ceases and Troller must move on to more promising waters.
  17. Hope Saints are positive and attack West Ham from the start and don't show them too much respect as i think their defence is weak. Plenty of crosses/corners/free kicks fired into the box to test dodgy ex Arsenal keeper. West Ham look strong in midfield but the current Saints team is more resilient than Saints teams of the recent past i can see a hard thought win.
  18. Well said. Most of the derision when he signed was quoting Celtic fans opinions on a player who had hardly played for them recently due to injury and being on loan. Bet they wish he was back with them now seeing as their defnce is looking pretty poor at the moment. Others dimissed the player due to their low opinion of Scottish football even though another signing Danny Fox played for Celtic not that long ago and his signing was welcomed. Anyway hope the loan is extended as he has looked decent so far.
  19. Agree. Use the Euro's to bed in some young talent. England always struggle to produce decent tournament displays unlike other countries who take under 17/18/19/20/21 tournaments more seriously. Take the case of Wilshire being too tired to play in under 21's last summer and in the recent under 20 world cup 36 England players were made unavailable by premier league clubs. England drew three group games nil nil and went out in the knock out stage 1-0 to Nigeria. Play this line up Hart Smalling, Cahill, Jones, Baines Walcott, Cleverley, Wilshire, McEachran, Young Sturridge
  20. Just watched highlights. Great performance from team GB. First World Champion since 1965 the late Tom Simpson. Hopefully Cav will get sports personality of the year rather than an over paid/rated premier league footballer.
  21. Seems unfair that Cardiff have got test ahead of others. On a personal note glad Old Trafford has got a test and always enjoy going to Trent Bridge tests.
  22. I know he is hated on here for being Scottish but to be fair to him he has a point about burnout of top players. 16 tournaments for top ranked players probably means 32 weeks including practice/progression in tornament out of 52 weeks. I love watching the likes of Nadal etc playing but don't think his like will have a long career and be playing in their 30's.
  23. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/18/tiki-taka-peter-reid-sacked Reid pays club staff out of his own pocket and is sacked after losing up to 40 players. How is Risdale allowed anywhere near any football club????
  24. Guly, De Ridder and Lallana are options to play up front when needed. Not sure about Forte myself and agree with others that being top of the league and way we bring through young players should make Saints attractive for a loan of a talented young premier league striker who can push for a starting place.
