Some people seem to forget the season saints were last in the championship Davis was our best player saving penalties and performing heroics in front of a bunch of kids. He also apeared to be one of the few players who cared. This form resulted in the then premier league West Ham trying to sign him for their squad. He showed loyalty back then and should be shown some of the same from fans.

Saints squad currently has 2 decent keepers. Four fullbacks Four centre halves. Four central midfielders Two wide midfielders plus others who can fill in. Four strikers. If Saints keep Chamberlain i think we only need maybe one wide pacy player, otherwise the squad looks quite strong. We also might have promising youngsters coming through as well.

A Tesco senior executive is also on the board of BskyB. Tesco are another company hell bent of world domination.

Seemed very harsh penalty on Cav and Thor. Especially as no punishment for rider pushing into Cav near finish.

Still lucky enough to live fairly near local shops with green grocers, health food shop, fishmonger, butcher, hardwear/DIY shop... etc Sad to see local Oddbins closing. Too many people buying wine from Tesco (world domination) etc with their limited bland collection which people put up with for some reason? Recent trips back to Southampton i find a bit depressing with the lack of independent shops/pubs/cafes replaced by chains throughout the city centre. I used to live near St Marys street with at least four record shops and thriving pubs/cafes/grocers and market there. Didn't need to go to a supermarket back then.

Think Paul Macdonald played as sub in Sideways Jim Magiltons inspired win at home to Pompey when Merrington was in charge. hink he went to play for Brighton after? Also Colin Crambe? scots lad signed on cheap, went on to play lower and non league football in england and scotland. Saw him make a sub appearance away to Everton when losing away as usual at the time. Never had the skills to threaten Paul Moody so was released. Most depressing thing about away days then was that as soon as the opposition scored you know Saints would lose they were that poor.

Am i the the only one who didn't rate Danns that highly? Alot of players can easily stand out in a poor team who have struggled to avoid relegation last few years. When i've seen Palace play, the only player i've been impressed with is Ambrose and their keeper whose name escapes me right now.. I've seen Danns get sent off prutton style when his team were playing vital games in recent seasons. I'm sure Saints can get better players to strengthen the midfield.

Geoffery 'no fours before lunch' Boycott was one of the most boring players i ever saw play for England. Remember the many cries of 'get on with it' from crowds back then. Very jealous. Would love to go. Favourite sporting event of the year for me. Cantador will be favourite again but no one has won both Grio and tour same year for a long time i think. Andy Schleck will be close again but can't better Cantador in the time trialing. Wiggins could make top ten possibile top 6 with a bit of luck. He's in good form after winning Criterium du Dauphine recently where he rode alot more sensibly on the climbs where he was often distanced by the attacks but was never dropped and then closed the gap using his high cadence and measured efforts. This suggests his preperation work has been good this year.
