I'm happy if Saints have upset Colin ****** as he is the biggest whinger in football. Some of us are old enough to know about his past history in the game and despise the tosser.
-
He was a rock last season and won everything in the air. Don't think i saw him beaten to a header all season. Not sure why people are writing him off before he even plays a championship game this season. Plenty of defenders play on in their mid and late thirties.
-
Is there any evidence/reports/facts etc that he thinks he is better than the team? Apologies if i have missed this.

Always pop in there for a pea fritter after home games. People up north don't understand the delights of the pea fritter. Best chippy in Southampton years ago was the Appollo in Sholing where i grew up across the road from it. Huge queues on a friday teatime every week. You name it they did it in batter there. Sadly changed to a Chinese many years ago.

More chance of Hoddle getting another job in football management than your prediction being correct.

I was one of the few posters on here who predicted that we had a chance of promotion this season and understand the league is priority but he(Lallana) could break his leg in training. We have a squad that should be competative in cup competitions. People will also remember Saints getting to and playing at Wembley or playing against Man Utd/Arsenal etc and giving a good account of ourselves. Winning games breeds a winning mentality and confidence. I'm glad Saints take competitions seriously and are not one of those teams who take the **** out of fans travelling to games by putting out a team of kids etc. Didn't go to Torquay due to ill health and work making home midweek games difficult. Go to as many home and away games as i can including ones in the south.
-
Agree. Can never understand fans wanting their team to lose. I want Saints to win every game and get through to latter stages of cup competitions. Any fan wishing Saints to get knocked out should not be allowed a ticket to any big name game later in the competition.

To be the fair it's only the three forum trolls who are bitter. I expect they haven't got a degree between them.

Ignore the three forum trolls, they are just jealous and bitter. Congratulations.

I take it you have never broken the law in your youth/adult life? made mistakes? wrong decisions? influenced by others? peer pressure from mates? done stupid things? messed around as a kid, shop lifting? graffiti, vandalism, nicking apples, jumping in hedges, banging on old peoples doors and running away, throwing stones, playing football against people's walls, riding bike without lights, blasting out loud music in public areas, underage drinking, smoking in no smoking areas, fighting kids from other areas....... etc etc all part of growing up and if you did get caught the local copper would have a word/warning etc.
-
For the cost of sending just 2 young men to jail for 4 years for setting up a facebook group that didn't cause a riot, you could employ 4 youth workers for 4 years working with up to 200 of the most alienated young people per year (800 young people in 4 yrs) or pay for a full time youth advice service in 8 large secondary schools (benefitting around 10,000 young people) for a year or you could employ 24 young people on £15,000 for a year at a time when youth unemployment has reached over 20%.

The "how did brighton get so annoyed with us" thread
AndyNorthernSaints replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
I used to have a soft spot for Brighton due to their fight for survival, new ground and fans united day etc. There fans now sound like the usual post 1990 johnny come lately fans internet warriors who are trying to make up some local rivalry which doesn't exist. I'm sure not all their fans are like these sad internet warrior tossers so it's best to ignore them. Personally i blame it on the Thatcher generation. -
Well only a few optimistic people like myself felt we could make the play offs and most thought mid table at best. There will be alot of tough games this season ahead and i know it's very early days but Saints should not fear anyone and like i said at the time there is alot of poor sides in the championship . Exciting times ahead.

Football Manager 2012 - Announced!
AndyNorthernSaints replied to Matthew Le God's topic in Computer Games
Looks great. Would buy it but i'm getting married. -
Motherwell fans i know rated him very highly when he played for them.
-
When i've seen him play well for Fulham and Northern Ireland it's been as a defensive midfielder. Agree with others, not sure he is suitable for a centre half in this division when you need a big lump/tall player in most games. Don't remember him having alot of pace either. Decent player though and would be a useful signing for fullback and defensive midfield positions.
-
Seriously what? BBC don't hate saints? Claridge often praises Saints?
-
Why do the BBC hate Saints? Not seen it myself apart from idiots like Lawrenson when we were in top flight. Claridge is usually quite complimentary about Saints to be fair.

Barnsley V Saints 0-1 Post match Chat!
AndyNorthernSaints replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
Saints played very well today and should have killed game off in the 2nd half. Passed the ball very well and at times it was men against boys. Lallana, Guly and Cork played well and stand out players in defence were Richardson and Seaborne.Have previously had doubts about those two players but not today. Didn't have best view of sending off but Barnsley fans i spoke to after who were sat near incident said it was a clear red card. Nice beers in Dove Inn before as well and good away support today. -

Very sad really. You only have to read the idiot posts in the lounge right now to realise what this site has become. A home for internet hardmen/warriors/racism and trolling. I can only think the owners of this site condone it all. -
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2025068/UK-riots-Middle-class-rioters-revealed-including-Laura-Johnson-Natasha-Reid-Stefan-Hoyle.html With more and more middle class looters being caught, i wonder what benefits the government will take off them.

Would a big signing prompt you to attend saturday??
AndyNorthernSaints replied to CFSFC's topic in The Saints
I think our away support has improved since leaving the top flight. Alot of it is down to new grounds, cheaper tickets and better days out going to proper football grounds and meeting real football fans etc. The increased midweek games does not help with travelling the length of the country to be fair. I remember the dark days of Branfoot in the 90's when you were lucky to see a couple of hundred at northern away games. Although it has to be said there is usually a better atmosphere with a few hundred hardcore away support on a rainy tuesday night in Sunderland etc.
