Why are they still nicknamed "the Millers" if they don't play at Millmoor and the word "the" does not exist in Yorkshire?

Can't be bothered with players ratings as they were all **** poor. Strange place to watch a game of football. Miles away from pitch and 3/4 of ground empty apart from one stand. The game was so dire i found myself looking out for where the athletic events such as the hammer, long jump and pole vault were. Not sure how many Saints fans were there, maybe 400? some decent support and songs tonight. I don't like to pick out one player from the poor display but this is the 4th time i've seen McGoldrick play and still can't understand how he is in the team. He just doesn't seem to want to try or put any effort in. On this display it won't be long before we return to the Don Valley stadium i'm afraid. Can't wait for Donny on saturday :-(

Ok in defence but not good enough from what i've seen to play centre midfield in this division. A cheap and poor replacement for Safri IMO.

These days there's more job/career opportunities up north. Southampton seems to have turned into a shopping centre without much else :-(

I wish England could beat France home and away in a competitive match like Scotland or beat Euro 2008 champs Spain at home like Northern Ireland.

Dyer has the potential and ability to be decent player in this league if he's given a run of games. Too early to write him off IMO.

They stay in watching tv and playing computer games. In the old days youngsters went out and got some excercise playing pool down the local pub.

Yep that just about sums it up really. The point is sadly that it's not bleeding rocket science to realise that if you don't have any recognised defenders as fullbacks in your squad you are going to struggle. I'm beggining to understand how our manager was nut megged by Archie Gemmill in 78 now.

Lawrence would go on a great run beating 4 defenders before skillfully crossing the ball to me. Unfortunatly i would be standing on the terraces at the back of the Archers.

Agree with you mostly but do you still think McGoldrick will score 20 goals this season? Myself i'd prefer John playing to score some goals we badly need.

to answer my own question No!!!!!!!!! then. Today clearly shows we need proper fullbacks and experience in defence. Can't understand why perry was on the bench as well as our only proven goal scorer John :-(

Just hope Jan has had the team working on how to defend corners/free kicks and balls into the box in the last fortnight? otherwise we could be in trouble as half the QPR side are 6ft+. Encouraging the players to shoot more when near the goal might help as well.

I grew up near a great chippy in Sholing now sadly a Chinese. Living up north i do miss pea fritters :-(
