You don't need to offer me "due respect" mate. I think he is utter c@rp on the 3 season's and counting evidence offered before me.
-
Comments about JWP consistent in their negativity. He simply MUST have something about him that we are all yet to see, otherwise why would the club give him a new contract?
-
That description is completely accurate, I'm sorry but at this level he is sh1t. Maybe with a couple of seasons in the lower leagues he might do a Marsden/Lambert but right now he simply is not what we need.
-
I've given up hoping JWP will come good. Hojberg has come good in his first game showing more ability in under 45 minutes than JWP has shown in his entire saints career.
-
Enough there in the 2nd half to provide confidence we won't be in any trouble. Tadic and Redmond did well (the latter being split seconds away from celebrating a debut brace and win but was correctly given off side) but this was only Watford at home - we still definitely need another creative forward option. Hojberg looked a class above every other player on the pitch from the moment he came on. I think we would've won that match if he had been on from the start and Puel picking JWP ahead of him worries me.
-
Hojberg by a country mile. HTF JWP got in the starting 11 in front of him is beyond me.
-
No change there then. Pretty 1 star showing all round so far from the whole team. Started to grow into it last 10 mins which offers some hope but generally very uninspiring.
-
Ha ha, hopefully that was posted by one of the ***ts who joined this site for a good old gloat.

I think this is just a tad naive tbh. The bloke is our defensive lynch pin and just proven he's one of the best centre backs in Europe.
-
Managed to slip the guards in the psychiatric ward just long enough to sneak that post through. Strapped back down now, sedatives pumped in.
-
So you were so hammered after hitting the bottle on hearing that we weren't that good in a pre-season friendly that you started a thread about Harrison Read, called the thread '9-3' and can't remember any of it. Beats ****ing in the wardrobe I guess.
-
Jesus, I had them going down with Burnley and Hull BEFORE reading that. Could be utter bullsh!t of course.
-
Can we all leave Whitey alone please. Yes he's meandered down a bit of an I'll-advised path with this whole goals to pens ratio maths stuff but there aren't many transfers to talk about are there?

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
stknowle replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Whoever did it and in who's name and for what reason this sort of sh!t is becoming depressingly routine and regular. Very worrying. -
Agree with all this. At the moment we are hugely weaker up front than we were at the end of last season. Hopefully it's a case of us doing our transfer business discreetly and there'll be some pleasant surprises soon.
-
That attack looks way too light for me. Whilst I like Redmond I don't think he'll replace Mane's goals and Pelle's "replacement" Austin will quite likely not be on the pitch at least 50% of the time to convert the creativity and crosses Redmond will provide. Add to that the high likelihood that J Rod will never be the player he was - what if he has another season like last year when he was out for the majority of it and scored zero league goals? - and we are potentially far far too weak. We need another proven striker at least and probably another creative type, two if we lose Tadic which I sincerely hope we don't. Hopefully and probably the club are still working on bringing another 1 or 2 in (Berahino would do nicely) and have reason to be confident that Austin and Rodriguez' previous injury problems are behind them, but to go into the season with that attacking line up would be a real worry.
-
He's alright, can be good but my instinctive reaction to news that he is coming on or starting is "oh no, I hope he doesn't **** up."
-
Get in. Best news of the summer so far.

Why don't you understand Fry?

Hmmmm, the more I look at it the more it looks like a bra. A new revolutionary type of bra granted, kind of providing extra (wired?) support in the central area to force the cleavage open and the breasts up yet in opposite directions at the same time. One for the saints fan that would prefer to have his/her moobs/tits highlighted whilst proudly wearing the colours.

As evidenced by Wednesday night's special "Euro '96 - When Football Came Home". Jesus Christ. (And it's actually 2 semi final appearances in 50 years now)
