  1. Interesting, Charlie - are you saying that Koeman did not want to sign him?
  2. He basically stated that Soares has no defensive qualities. That's Soares, the man he bought as a defender to play in our defence.
  3. The cheapest way to get all your windows and doors replaced is to become a Surveyor with a large Developer or Main Contractor and then politely threaten not to let large contracts to interested window/door suppliers unless they replace all the windows and doors in your house free of charge.
  4. Bois. Theydon Bois.
  5. Good stuff. My only slight criticism would be that transfer windows slam shut rather than swing as suggested in your opening line.
  6. I simply turned mine off. A one star awful performance to rank alongside Sheff Utd last season.
  7. Waheey!! What utter turd this is.
  8. Yes, you will need decide on either 15th or 16th though. (£17 stake seems appropriate).
  9. I'm tending towards 13th. Dalek one do you wish to put your money where your, er that thing that looks like a sink plunger is, and have a bet on which of us is closest come the season's end??? (I am assuming you are sticking with your 17th mantra)
  10. Obviously not great but overall I'm happy with that due to our looking far, far more solid albeit against a team you would expect to be amongst the weakest in the division. Fek all going forward but that's a product of the more cautious approach, as are the absences of the gaping midfield holes and exposed full-backs. Romeu looks very handy at what he was bought to do but needs to calm it a bit, Vic was ok but the passing is still very erratic. Fonte was superb all game. Shame about Sadio as he looked up for it. Based on the first 3 games of the season I cannot see 3 obvious relegation candidates. Sunderland maybe but even they forced a point yesterday after an awful start, but the 3 that have come up have all done well and no other team stands out as particularly bad. Could be very close this year.
  11. Me too mate. A couple of Chelsea supporting friends I know have stopped going to Stamford Bridge because since the money and success it's rammed with bellends who haven't got the first clue about the game, and anyway the success is utterly hollow, pointless and empty because it's just been bought. The only way we can ever win things is if we have an Abramovich takeover so we can buy success and, if we did, I know I would end up feeling like they do.
  12. Oh FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just saw it myself, the way they worded it was that he had been offered a new contract and turned it down saying he was interested in a move elsewhere and would be open to working with Pochettino again. Hopefully it's just a negative spin on him not signing a new contract and perhaps when asked if he would like to play for Spurs he didn't just say "No". Even more hopefully the whole story is utter bullshine. If not and it's all true - Oh FFS!!!!!
  13. Not only a done deal but a done deal for a "Man Utd target"! This could be the start of a shift in the balance of power between the two clubs. No way will Sadio even consider going there after this, and no doubt Morgan will be questioning if it was the right move after all.
  14. If you keep on saying we'll come 17th or perhaps get relegated one season it will happen, you will be correct, and you will have "seen ahead of the crowd". Excellent.
  15. Sorry mate, I admit I need to go on an intense diet and exercise regime. I'll not be returning to SMS until I have so feel free to park one buttock on my seat until I do.
  16. No meltdown here but we just lost comprehensively at home to a team that drew at home with Watford last week. It's early days but thshy fact does not necessarily point to a comfortable season ahead. Bertrand back plus a new top drawer CB and hopefully we'll look more solid but any team would struggle to replace Morgan, and his absence is the root cause of our shambolic defending today.
  17. "have you soiled yourself as an adult?" springs to mind
  18. If memory serves correctly we were 3 0 up with nineteen minutes left to play, AND we were at home, all of which made the loss extra-specially humiliating/embarrassing. Would be surprised if that effort has ever been "bettered" in the history of the league. MLG? Worst goal - ironically scored by Best (Derby play off semi).
  19. stknowle

    Petty?

I have never been on twitter and have no knowledge of Gareth as a person (though he seems like a nice boy in interviews) but the contents of this thread leaves me virtually certain that he does not "follow" Russ Watkinson either. #'Kin ell so unfair.
  20. All pile round yours after we win the final then?
  21. Agreed. Brilliant play from Long, perfect placement by Sadio. The fact it set a record that is sure to stand for years kinda adds something as well.
  22. Absolutely superb way to sign off at home, back to the devastating form we were in when it all kicked off. Villa aided and abetted througout the first half but the 3rd and 6th goals were amongst the best of the season. Brilliant. Sadio has to get the MOM for the prem record hattrick but I thought Long was absolutely brilliant throughout the first half, scoring 2 and setting up 2 as well. Also I called Gazza a hopeless clown last week but today, for the first time, there looked like there may be a decent keeper in there somewhere. COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
