  1. It is similar but Boruc is far better than Jones was and I remain to be convinced that Forster is anywhere near as good as Niemi. (IIRC it took Jones about 5 games to commit the inevitable howler (flapped at a ridiculously tame 30 yarder against west Brom) that let Antii in.
  2. I feel your pain mate. Never in my wildest imagination did I think our team would be decimated in the way it has been/looks likely to be. Why would I, this is utterly unprecedented except for maybe Leeds and Pompey who were financial basket cases and Wham who had been relegated FFS. It seems we are utterly powerless to do anything (other than cave in and sell) when a bigger club wants one of our players. So are we doing a Leeds/Pompey?(spending 18 mil on Tadic and Pelle says not) or do we have a board with absolutely no backbone? I know it's the pecking order and we can say it even happens to Manu etc when Madrid come calling but we are potentially talking about 6 first teamers, quite possibly more, and I refuse to believe that this whole thing could not have been handled far far better.
  3. Can't believe Ekland hasn't been mentioned yet. SCDABJFM (probably even now). On the transfer front Gnabry loan a good shout as long as not just as a Schneiderlin makeweight.
  4. At the very least tell them they have to wait until January to allow a degree of continuity and replacements to be blooded. Surely arrangements like this can be and must be sorted with every remaining player we do not want to sell. This is getting utterly ridiculous.
  5. TBf it must be hard to headbutt someone cleanly with teeth that size
  6. Ooooh kinky!!

    Dani Osvaldo

Old N you got issues with your auto correct again?
  8. Southampton FC win again. So what? Routine and boring. Roll on the return of relegation battles and defeats left, right, and centre so we can all have a good old whinge about how ****e we are.
  9. LOL end to an at first frustrating (again) and then plain tedious match. It is becoming totally routine for us to dominate possession, home or away. IF we keep the majority of this squad together and add some real quality up front we could be in for one brilliant season next year. COYS
  10. Check out the 98 squad pic. I'll fitting. That'll be ILL fitting
  11. in other news, nasty looking suits. Check out the 98 squad pic. I'll fitting.

    Big vic!

Agreed, but today he added the useful ability to consistently pass the ball to a team mate. Long may it continue.
  14. Supremely frustrating again. Dominant in possession yet created few good chances, failed to take the few good chances that were created. Again. Oh well, at least we don't actually need to win.

I never want to go to Dubai. It sounds boring.
  16. De-fumigation and disinfectant costs after the Portsmouth shirts were discovered 'secreted' in the office partition
  17. One big reason - £.
  18. Agree Roger. He was good.
  19. TBF I thought we were (and the spuds all around me seemed to agree) until we conceded and then it all changed.
  20. Club pants are ideal for situations like this.
  21. I thought it was Lovren got injured in the cock region?
  22. Really enjoyed that. Utterly ridiculous that we let them back in with 2 gift wrapped goals in 2 minutes but we were superior for the entire remainder of the match and I never really thought they would equalise. We look such a good, confident side, stroking the ball about with the opposition chasing shadows for long periods. Complacency needs to be eradicated plus we need to do it against the bigger teams consistently but, fecking hell, what a team we've got.
  23. Very funny Rut. 10 out of 10
  24. This. We've just won another match in a fine season, our 2nd back in one of the strongest leagues in the world after a tour of the lower leagues and going into administration. Oh well.
