Yeah, you can imagine neutrals everywhere rolling around in their living rooms in fits of laughter at his rarely seen comedy defending!!! As others have said he could have been a bit tighter but to say "you rarely see premier league footballers try" what he did is plainly ******. Brilliant shot, not joke defending.

I'm with you on this Munster. Why was Martina such a joke of a defender today?

That just felt like such a comfortable, never in doubt win. That's where we are at now after forcing our way back to the top division and re-establishing ourselves. Really starting to like the look of Redmond, if he can add a composed finish to his close control and trickinness Liverpool have their Sturridge replacement in waiting. As others have said, McQueen did really well. C'MON!!!

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
stknowle replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
I'm reading this 3 days later and knew nothing about this march and never would have if I hadn't read about it on here. Disgrace that it wasn't reported on - why not ffs? - but also encouraging to hear about. -
Yes Roger!!! I expect everyone who posts on the internet has a really exciting life. People like, er, you!!!!!

I think he meant JWP but agree the post is badly written enough to deserve the question.
-
Agreed. Floated like a moth and stung like a wasp.

We were very good. Romeu growing into a major player for us. Shame Charlie didn't put his laces through the ball instead of going for the chip but he was so unlucky with that excellent effort in the first half. Mildly amused to hear the commentator's express their surprise at JWP missing his chance "for a player with his finishing ability" Overall 8/10. Let's keep this up.

Yeah, truly earth shattering. There's no coming back from that.

Sunderland might feel differently if results under Moyes don't improve quickly.

Noble admitted that it could/should have been six (whilst scratching his right ear with his left hand).

GTFI. Brilliant win, Claude beginning to win me over.

Saints beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in EFL Cup. Sunderland at home next

Correct. Just not a natural finisher. Will run all day, cause a right nuisance of himself, create chances - and then miss the vast majority of them. 100% of them this season so far. Would be a fantastic player if he had composure, without it he's still a very good player. -
He looked useful before getting clattered at Burnley 2 seasons ago. Has he beefed up at all?
-
Jesus Christ. Just when he was starting to look like finally getting going again. Damn shame.
-
Fair enough if they are internationals and therefore don't get a break during the international break ffs!!!
-
TBF FFS if it wasn't for these international breaks the season would finish a hell of a lot sooner than it does. Either that or no football would be played at all on the international weekends ffs.
-
Austin does look like our best finisher. Comfortably. But feck me he's got some weak competition.
-
We won, it's all that matters. Nathan Redmond as a striker however......................................
-
Jesus christ Redmond
-
Redmond needs to be played in his proper position. He isn't a striker. End of. Worrying that the man in charge cannot see this.
-
It's testament to how good he is at everything apart from scoring that he continues to be picked. Seriously, if he took even 50% of the chances his superb work rate and running earn him he would be one of the best strikers in the league.
-
Best thing about this season so far is JRod's tentative first steps to potentially getting back to the pre-injury version. That finish showed the kind of composure Long sadly does not possess and never will.
-
We played well today, definitely deserved at least a point and were disgustingly robbed of it by appalling refereeing. However I remain very concerned about our lack of fire power which was the main reason we didn't win. A good finisher instead of Long in our side and we win that 3-2 or at least draw 2-2.
