  1. I don't think for one minute that UKIP are the answer. But if their success in the Euro elections forces the hand of the main parties committing to a straight in/out referendum, they will have done their job. I always hoped that once 1 party committed itself to a referendum, the other parties would follow. The next election will be tight, the Tories referendum pledge may just turn it in their favour. As a lifelong Labour voter, I am dismayed by Labour at the moment. Their leadership is terrible. Always liked John Denham, decent principled man, but now that he's retiring I don't know who to vote for next time. In short, I am not a typical right-wing xenophobe just because I am pro-democracy and anti-EU.
  2. Not to that extent. It's as if we'll all become destitute slaves living in a dump of a country and all getting cancer from passive smoking if we leave the EU.
  3. Doubt it, unless his Speak and Spell can be wired into the internet.
  4. Mark Blake, another centre-half who came through the ranks.
  5. Crikey, how on earth did we live before the EU? If Farage bought out anything as slanted as that, he would, quite rightly, be ridiculed. Pro-EU lobby are obviously extremely worried judging by that rubbish.
  6. Wouldn't want him back at the club after this. Behaving like a spoilt child who's just had his train set taken off him.
  7. I've heard the new kit is Patrick, and that Keegan will be our new manager.
  8. Are players able to buy their contracts out now? Not sure, but if they can't, then why can't we keep players who the club gave new deals to in good faith?
  9. Some press reporting that Benitez wanted by Spurs.
  10. We'll probably know either way in a week or so.
  11. I reckon Gallagher would have signed a 4 year deal if even Branfoot was manager!
  12. I will certainly be voting for them as a protest, in the hope that the main parties will get an idea of public opinion and change their policies accordingly. In a general election, it is extremely unlikely I would vote UKIP, although to be fair, it is also extremely unlikely that I would vote for anyone at the moment.
  13. If you read the Saints story in the Sun, you'll see that the last few paragraphs are blowing so much smoke up Cortese's arse it doesn't take a genius to work out who was behind the piece. What a total w@nker.
  14. I don't think for one minute that the indigenous workshy population aren't a drain. I think that a lot of immigrants have a work ethic that a lot of our unemployed don't. I do think that it is uncontrollable at the moment though. I do think that a lot of hard-working people in this country have lost there jobs and been replaced by cheaper foreign labour. I do think that our elected government (and believe me, I didn't vote them in, and wouldn't in a million years) is largely unable to govern because of the shackles from Strasbourg. That is plain wrong and undemocratic in my opinion. I don't live in Shirley, to be honest, I avoid the place like the plague. But I do know a lot of people that live there and they're all telling me the same thing about the area, and it's not good.
  15. Good work, cheers.
  16. Asked anyone who lives in Shirley about the positive effects of mass immigration. Our public services are creaking at the seams. I don't want no immigration, just controlled immigration. What is happening to Britain at the moment isn't right. What's wrong with wanting to vote for a government that is actually able to govern the country without its hands tied behind its back?
  17. Is there an emoticon of someone shooting himself in the head? I can't find it.
  18. One of the reasons Les Reed made his statement was to try and stop Poch being asked the same questions over and over again. unfortunately, it would seem that a certain ex member of staff still has his hooks into the media and it hasn't worked. Poch must be sick of being asked the same bull every week. Maybe Reed was on the level. Discussions about the manager's future will start once the season ends. At the end of the day, we've got him under contract for another year anyway. Just like we have Shaw, Lallana, Cork and Morgan under contract.
  19. Brendan Rogers didn't deny the story when it was put to him on Talksport. From what he said though, Adam would only be going there as a squad player.
  20. If we turn down a £20m bid for him, then we should give him a pay rise. Everyone happy, bonnet du douche.
  21. Why would young players improve playing against the likes of Eastleigh every other week? Why not have a Premier Reserve League?
  22. I reckon you've got it very wrong.
  23. She's put people in place to improve the commercial side of the club, which has been pretty poor up until now. Hopefully, we'll get a better shirt deal. On top of this, I reckon she won't be averse to putting her hand in her pocket. She's been a magnificent owner up until now.
  24. I can't listen to Talksport when Durham and Gough are on. Pair of w@nkers.
  25. After Reed's statement, the club would look disingenuous at best if the Mail story was true. I don't think the new board have said or done anything that suggests that. I wouldn't trust another Cortese press mouthpiece as far as I could throw it. Still reckon De Boer will go there. Working for Levy is pretty crap though. Nothing more than a modern day Peter Swales, 'look at me, I'm in charge. Hire and fire'. Spurs will never be a top 4 club. They missed their chance when they turned down Abramovich.
