I don't doubt for one minute that AM have acted badly in this deal, but football is a dirty business. It appears to me, that Saints have been very naive.

Decent player.
-
We'll do a deal to settle it. Ron probably wants him in for training tomorrow.

Good point, the Steve De Ridder production will never be forgotten. To be fair, it was all lifted from just the 1 game.

He looks to be better on the ball than Makele, but you're right, he seems like a magnet where the ball's concerned. Often just seems to be in the right place.

Not sure what we're going to get with Pelle. If last season was the typical season a foreign player needs to get used to the Premier League then we have a hell of a player on our hands. If last season was the height of Pelle's powers I would be tempted to move on a player nearly 30 who we could improve on in that position. It's difficult one. He had a fairly decent first season, he didn't show the finishing power he had in Holland for large parts of the season, but even Bergkamp struggled in his first year in England. Not too sure what I would do to be honest. Luckily, we have an excellent manager who will make the right decisions.

Sky trying to create a mugs market for Spurs. Surely there's a law against this.
-
Some of the press reckon we've recently put a bid in for £1million more. Hard to know what to believe.

Fabian Delph can become the new Jack Rodwell.

Morgan is a fantastic player, but he's not Maradona. He is replaceable, just as Lambert , Lovren and Lallana were. You make some good points. I think Cedric can comfortably fill Clyne's shoes. He wasn't exactly a 7/10 every week. Spend enough money and Morgan can be replaced as well. Pelle doesn't have anyone really competing for his place. We have other good attackers, Jay, Long and Mane I rate highly, but they play different roles to Pelle. I would still love us to sign Charlie Austin. He can play the same role as Pelle, is a great finisher and a proper grafter. We'd have goals all over the place. Toby at the back and we're almost there.

Rogers is a Championship manager at best.

I really don't think that's a position we particularly need to strengthen. Much more pressing needs - Toby and Charlie Austin will do for me.

No source, just an opinion. Not sure if any CL team actually wants him. -

Looks like Morgan might be staying after all then. -
Gaston is a decent squad option, especially with the added European games. He's got all the ability in the world, it's up to him whether he succeeds or not.
-
I've been told we've got him. Don't hang me if I'm wrong though, as I've said before, it's not quite bloke down the pub who told me, but not far off. He has been right about a few things before though.
-
I don't know who you are, but are you bettering yourself by poncing off a footballer? Couldn't really give a toss about Lallana, we're better without him. Hope he's picked a nice seat next to Lambert for the new season.

Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official

Right backs are ten-a-penny anyway. More bothered by Morgan's imminent departure. -
Anyway, enough about Liverpool. I apologise for taking this thread on Toby way off topic. I reckon he'll sign.
-
No, but my point was that top teams can slide into obscurity. Just because Liverpool have an illustrious history, it means jack sh*te for their future. My judgement is slightly clouded by my blind hatred for them.
-
Yep, best chance they'll have in a generation to win the league. They lose Suarez, let Rogers buy crap, and look where they are now. No chance if finishing higher than Chelsea, City, Arsenal or Man Utd.
-
Burnley and Preston were once among the top sides in the country. That is how I see Liverpool now. Can't see them finishing top 4 for a long time. Certainly not with the arrogant legend in his own opinion manager they currently have.
