Nobody has mentioned the revolving Marriott Hotel in Times Square. Well worth a visit.

The club is no longer run FOR the fans...............

Funnily enough, they both work in the docks now. Rumour has it they make a small fortune doing 'favours' for sailors. -
Can't believe people are so miserable about the prospect of finishing between 7th and 9th. Tossers.

Poch's history lesson....as per the Echo

The point made about cup competitions is a valid one. 25 years ago, a 5th round cup-tie would have been a massive game. As would an international. Now they are an inconevience. An unfortunate by-product of the Sky era and the corporate entity our game has become. -

Devotion is a bit harsh Duncan. Gratitude would be more appropriate. Personally, my anger at going out of the cup is directed more at the players performance and attitude of some, rather than the owners or manager. Fact is, the side Pochettino put out should have been more than capable of beating a virtual Sunderland reserve side. -

To be fair to the owners, they have almost certainly put more money into the club than they have taken out. -
Regardless of the side we put out, that was a poor performance. A few of our players should be embarrassed about picking up their wages today.

Victims of crime will though. -
More or less the old Combination League.

For a start they wouldn't gave cut the EA budget by nearly as much, and I'm pretty sure that anyone but the Tories would have acted sooner with meaningful support and a plan for the flooded areas.
-
It's to blame a scapegoat rather than accept that a Tory party that many on here voted for are rubbish in a crisis, and some of their misguided budget cuts are going to actually cost the country a small fortune. We are being governed by a load of Tim Nice-But-Dims.

I think the police do a terrible job. But for any sort of motoring offence they are probably the best in the world. They have largely forgotten how to walk, and just seem to ponce around in their cars to me. I don't think the taxpayer gets value for money from them. -
Jack Cork hat-trick, 6-0.
-
He couldn't have said anymore to suggest he's happy here. In stark contrast to his poker face replies when Cortese left. I reckon the owner has given him the reassurances he needs.

i didn't say Shaw wasn't at fault. Boruc didn't have to come. Odemwingie was 20 yards out when he slid the ball in. It was poor judgement, by coming off his line and not making the ball he made it simple for them to score. If he held himself on the six yard box, Odemwingie would have had to do a lot more to beat him. Again for the second Fonte was at fault, but Boruc wasn't blameless either, he should be bossing his 6 yard box. Mind you, some of the hysteria about him as laughable. He does a decent job for us most of the time, and makes mistakes like everyone else.
-
Thought he should have done better for both goals. Made it really easy for Odemwingie to side foot past him from 20 yards because he came rushing out for a ball he was never going to get and caught in no mans land. Second was in an area he should be dominating. Just a bad day, last week he kept us in the game.

But in these circumstances it would demonstrate some commitment from the owners, and confidence in the club's future from the manager.

I remember going on a horse and cart to watch an away match against the Royal Engineers at the turn of the last century. Felt sorry for the poor lad behind us with the shovel and bucket.

Makes appointing a CEO rather urgent if this scenario is true.

Thought he deserved to go. He definitely swung his arm intending to hurt Flores. Allardyce moaning about play-acting is a bit hypocritical to say the least when you look at how his players, Carroll included, roll around at every given opportunity. Have West Ham ever been more unpopular?

Hoddle would be a decent appointment for them IMO.

Saints long term deal with adidas to be terminated?

I always thought our own brand kit was a bit Mickey Mouse to be honest. Lets go back to Patrick. -
I'd be doing everything in my power to get him to commit to us with a long term contract if I was the owner of the club.

His performance on Saturday would have changed the opinion of many supporters (me included) that selling him for £7m would have been good business. He was excellent, and played as if a big cloud had been lifted from him. Absolutely vital for the team.

Good passer of the ball, could easily play the Teddy Sheringham type role.
