Not a chance.

Mayuka I would agree with at this moment in time. Jayrod I definitely disagree, starting to look a very dangerous player. Gaston is gifted, so I wouldn't write him off at the moment. Forren is money down the drain with regards to the fact that he's still not fit enough to play, but he might be a decent player.

He needs to concentrate for 90 minutes, his errors are being severely punished at the moment. Shame, because he looks ok for most of the game.
-
Opinions...I thought Fonte was our best defender.
-
Whatever went on before, the fact is Yoshida mucked up a simple tackle. He looks a decent player most of the time, but he does tend to make the odd mistake which we are getting punished for.
-
You must be joking! Cost us a goal on Saturday and a goal v Wigan.
-
I thought that definition was for a Delgado.
-
Yoshida is costing us goals at the moment with his mistakes. Give the new lad a go.
-
Good point, but who do you replace him with if Shaw is injured. The only other option I can see is Clyne, with Richardson or Cork going right-back. We would be more solid with either option.

Teams change tactics through games all the time. Play the wrong tactics against a decent side and you'll get turned over no matter how much you concentrate, or how disciplined you are.
-
That would leave too much space for the midfield to cover.

Plan B 4-4-2. 2 banks of 4 and some width to stretch teams out. Up front, 2 forwards working the defence around. I do like our plan A, but we were too narrow on Saturday and needed to make the pitch big with width. I reckon our new gaffer has forgotten more about football than we know. He'll get it right.

Williams played very well for us.

We made it easy for Samba. Only once yesterday did we manage to pull him out of he centre. JRod drew him out, laid the ball back, and it was crossed into the box where they were more vulnerable. Apart from that, it was a stroll in the park for him.

We have to accept that a young team like we have are not going to play well week in week out. Yesterday's was a poor performance, an off-day. How we bounce back from it will be a real measure of our new manager. I hope Pochettino isn't stuck in just 1 way of playing though. Yesterday was crying out for 2 solid banks of 4, with more width to try and pull their defence around. From what I've seen of him so far, he strikes me as a sharp astute coach. I reckon he learned quite a bit about our game, and his team, yesterday.

We reverted back to 'propoganda' football, passing sideways and backwards because of a serious ack of movement. It was a shame Lallana got done, because his movement was causing them problems and quite often he found himself in space. JRod was the only attacker we had that wanted to run at the QPR defence, and he caused them problems. Worse game I've seen from Ricky. Clyne and Puncheon were no attacking threat down the right. The first goal was a joke, and Yoshida's challenge for the second one was embarrassing. Where is Forren? Just one more thig, I was quite near Hill's challenge on Lallana, and it looked deliberate and was sickening. I haven't seen it on telly yet, but hopefully the dirty bastard will get done for it. QPR were poor today, but we put in one of those really flat performances. Pochettino is going to have to earn his corn now. Give them a few home truths and get them back to playing decent stuff again. On the positive side, I thought Fonte, Cork and JRod did ok.

They're not overdue a win. They haven't won much because they're sh*t. No team i'd rather play at the moment.

That story about the dockers is a load of crap. My family have been working in the docks for generations, and it is simply not true. Southampton dockers did fight on the picket lines at Pompey in the late 70s or early 80s though. No scabs in Southampton. I think the story was originally made up by one of the Pompey hooligans years ago. F*cking scabby c*nts.

I would happily settle for a top 17 finish.
