Depends on whether you believe him or not. The longer we go without appointing a manager, the less inclined I am to believe him.

'Sooner rather than later'. Close it Les.

The Echo - how much lower can they stoop?

Don't buy it, don't even look at it online. Used to, before it descended into total crap. -
I think it would be a mistake trying to appoint a carbon copy of Poch. Think we also need more of a name to command the respect of our international players.

Interview sounded like a bit out of Fawlty Towers.

Dejan Lovren hands in transfer request

Getting fed up of all this crap. Just appoint the new boss and move forward from all this crap. We've even had Manuel talking English at Spurs. -
Dejan Lovren hands in transfer request

Couldn't give a toss whether he wants to leave or not. It's up to the new manager. I wonder if we'll string this line out until next Summer, whilst not appointing a new boss, thus retaining the squad. It feels like it at the moment... -
F*cking dosh c*nt.

He doesn't seem to be a good fit for us.

Offer us what he's worth then you cheap f*ckers.

Couple of days ago the bookies were drastically reducing Ranieri's odds. I'd imagine a few punters went in on the back of it. Today it is Mancini, who has just resigned from a Champions League side, I would imagine a few punters will go in on this as well. I am a bookies dream, but is this not just a rigging of the market to get a bit more money from punters before a manager is appointed. Koeman is still odds on.

It's up to the powerful footballing nations to circumvent FIFA. It is next to impossible to beat Blatter in any sort of vote because there are so many pygmies on board that he has bought. Would love it if England led the way and told Blatter to shove his tainted World Cup up his arse.

Our defence is average but we look good going forward. We'll need to be a lot more ruthless in front of goal. I would probably start the side that played against Honduras, and look to bring Sterling and Barkley on as we tire. Could get a draw v Italy.

Another drip-feed of bad news from Ben Smith. Its as if he has another agenda. Hope he's washed the chairman mess from his mouth.

It's at the Container berth.

I wonder if the money going on Sherwood and Ranieri indicates that they have been interviewed? Thought Sherwood was refreshingly honest at Spurs, but wouldn't want him here. Nor Ranieri.
-
That is partly my point. AVB by all accounts is brilliant at interviews, others not so good. Personally, I would judge a manager by his achievements, not by how good he is at PowerPoint and whether he's polished his shoes. Kelvin, sorry, I didn't mean to call you corporate personally.
-
I don't think the average fan is very corporate, and doesn't really care about the merits or not of how many candidates should be interviewed or due diligence. This is appointing a football manager, not a City takeover. Ralph said last week that he more or less knew Poch was going in January, when he himself started. Plenty of time then to start the spadework in earnest for a new boss.
-
Cortese just got Poch in. For all his faults at least he was decisive.
-
I really don't see the point of interviewing '5 or 6'. I hope we don't get sucked in by 'AVB Powerpoints'. Just give the job to Koeman. He has stature, been successful, plays the right way and has a good record of bringing young players through. Les, please stop f*cking around giving yourself a hard-on interviewing people and just give Ron the job.

That last sentence could be one of the reasons we were happy to let Lambert go.

Murphy has probably forgotten more than all of us know put together.
-
He was crap at Fulham. Danny Murphy ripped his tactics to pieces. Would be a poor appointment,
