  1. We couldn't hear the magical atmopshere the northam creates/created from there either.
  2. Park anywhere near the stadium and you will be clamped I'm afraid. Colchester Borough Council are very hot on parking, especially on a match day.
  3. Yep, they depart outside "Big Yellow Storage", you can't miss it, however, if you want to drink it's easiest to get a taxi into town and then to the stadium, will cost you no more than £15.
  4. I don't want Pompey to go bust, just to suffer a horrible and miserable few seasons.
  5. "The audacity of hope" by Obama...once you've done a bit of research on the American legislative process it's a gripping read.
  6. Travel will not be a problem. I travelled up from Fawley on Monday and EVERY motorway/A-road was fine, roads around the stadium are fine and roads in Colchester city centre is fine. Trains are now running almost back to their full timetable. It won't be a problem. See you Monday.
  7. Compared to Barcelona we are...plus when MLT was in his prime we were always battling relegation in a 15k stadium so we can't be too harsh on Xavi. Unlike MLT, Xavi's national side recognise his talents!
  8. +1. Very nice!
  9. "Let me run this one past you".
  10. I live 2 miles away from the ground and I am happy to report the snow is melting away as it ****ed down this afternoon. With temperatures rising over the next few days there really shouldn't be any problem. They better not call this game off, I've been looking forward to it for weeks!
  11. A bit late in the day, but a word of warning to those that have driven up/gone on the bingo buses. The BBC is predicting hazardous driving conditions Saturday afternoon/evening as snow and ice hit the north. Here is the link...(6th paragraph) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8422048.stm
  12. Trains were starting(!!!!) from Ipswich to get to Norwich/Felixstowe. Mental.
  13. I doubt it was the unions, more likely that common sense prevailed. Anyway, regardless, COME ON YOOOOOUUUUU REDS!!
  14. This is ****e. I've spoken to both National Rail and Highways agency and they've decided that it is not safe to travel tomorrow...apparently, all lines between London and Colchester today were suspended due to frozen track!
  15. O shut up Noel Gallagher, oooh, you're sooooo cool!
  16. I would be careful when using 'genius' to describe the Normandy book...lots of potential research issues with that book, it has been widely challenged amongst historical academics. But the other two are spot on.
  17. haha! Ironic given where they come from.
  18. Agreed, didn't that female peadophile down in Plymouth only technically get sentenced to seven years?!?!
  19. As Colinjb mentioned earlier he feels he is superior to you, because he doesn't partake in 'lay culture'.
  20. Just out of curiosity: What are they in to? **** like 'War Hammer' by any chance? Honestly, just ignore the mongs feeling safe and secure in the knowledge that you have a normal existance.
  21. Oh, sorry 'ard nut.
  22. That'll be fun getting home then!
  23. Hmmm, good attempt at humour 6/10.
  24. You can bet your life that if he does that Saturday, he certainly will after the reaction from the Leeds sooooper fans. It's just hit me how much I hate Leeds, that chant they have does my head in (I think its the accent) "Maaaarrrrrchin on togeveeeerrrrr". Stupid northern ****s.
  25. I'm leaving my travel plans to the last minute. I'm ringing national rail in the morning to check on train services; if they are bad I'll drive, but if after ringing the highways agency that seems like a bad idea, I can safely say I won't be going! It is silly really that in this day and age, Britain should grind to a halt because of 6 inches of snow.
