  1. Jesus Christ and I thought I was fat for having to but a large, and I'm only 5foot8!
  2. Some of us are unable to get private coverage even if we wanted too through no fault of our own: The NHS is all I have and I will need it for the rest of my life. I'm sure that in some peoples' mind I simply burden the public purse, but in the experiences I have had with the so-called 'dinosaur' it has been efficient, courteous and to an exceptional standard. Maybe I have been lucky with Hants and Essex PCTs, but I adore the NHS. Anyway back to my summer holiday which I'm sure is undeserved!
  3. Depends if you mean 'over the counter' or prescription medication...
  4. I was going to make a witty remark, but I'm sure it would have resulted in infraction points.
  5. Just as America has come out of the dark ages, we seem to be going back. Health, education and policing should never be run for profit as quality in service will drop if profits are not being made; it is simply too much of a risk. What happens if, for example, Lymington Hospital fails to make a 'profit' and the General does? I imagine Lymington would close or see reduced services (despite being a fantastic hopsital) and the General would be kept open (dispite being in a **** poor state already) meaning that people in rural areas would have to travel into Southampton (which is a bloody hassle at the best of time) rather than the relatively easy option of getting to Lymington from areas such as Beaulieu, Hythe, Blackfield etc. This is fine for those who drive or the 'young', but what about the OAPs? Buses from these parts of the Waterside into town are sporadic at best!! I also highly doubt that if the General made a profit, it would be put back into the hospital, more than likely into the back bloody pockets of those in charge.
  6. Land of hope and glory would be much better
  7. We need to sign Antonio really, then I would be happy.
  8. The biggest bunch of ****s are those types in charge of companies such as Goldman Sachs (sp?) who get away with massive bonuses and as a company only have to fork out 1.2% of annual revenue as a fine for the latest scandel: and people wonder why Ive lost nearly all faith in capitalism. You can't blame them for wanting more money if they've had a pay freeze the year before.
  9. Bloody Hell St.George I agree with you!!!!!
  10. I also heard that Hitler and the plague was Labour's fault too!
  11. This isn't the point is it?! The thread was started on the crime figures and how they dropped under Labour, that is a fact back up with figures. IF the crime figures now rise we can analyse why at a later date.
  12. urgh, skinny jean wearing mong no doubt ;-)
  13. I wrote something slightly witty, but it would probably have been deemed offensive to St.G
  14. In that case sir, we agree 100%
  15. Oh behave, it's because of comments like that and the use of the world culture in a negative sense that makes a topic such as this one difficult to discuss sensibly!
  16. Thank God for that, well done Saints!
  17. This! I'm sure we'll be fine come August 7th.
  18. Hahahaha very funny post! Just how fat are we talking here? The slightly overweight or the hideously grotesque?
  19. What ever happened to freedom of religion? What next, a ban on turbans? I know it is different in France because they have outlawed the wearing of other overtly religious items with regards to other religions, but to just 'Ban the Burhka' in the Uk would cause no end of trouble and at the end of the day it would be discrimination.
  20. Head teachers certainly do earn their 80-90k a year salary, but £200k is beyond mad. He seems to have been getting paid for work that is taken as 'granted' in other schools as per the workload/pay agreements etc. Not suprised the unions are mad, it once again undermines our already fragile position.
  21. I will respond to this to make a point. Children are innocent in their views on the whole, unless they are very intelligent at a young age their opinions and ideas are often formed by their parents so any controversial comments can be ignored or disregarded. There is never an excuse to lose your temper or swear at a child because of an idea they express. Aduls on the hand are a different kettle of fish. They should know better and if I feel they are inherently wrong on a topic I will tell them in no uncertain terms what I think, as demonstrated on this thread. Therein lies the difference Wes, dune is an adult. You also need to remember that my political beliefs actively promote inclusion in education so it can never be said that my beliefs would hamper the progress of any pupil.
  22. Hmmmm being lectured on behaviour by a ****ing Nazi racist ****, rich. How the **** poor mods on this forum have not banned you is beyond me for your disgusting views on people who are not white. You're a true waste of oxygen and it saddens me that there are innocent children in Africa who are contracting HIV/Malaria while you are still around consuming natural resources that they could be using. You're beyond doubt the single most ******ish ****pit that has ever posted on this forum, be it in it's current form or S4E. I've tried behaving like an adult in responses with this 'man' yet his complete unwillingness to consider sensibly any reply I put forward and then have the cheek to accuse me of being childish after this ****tard, rather than reply with commets on the facts, comments on things that are totally irrelevant is beyond crap. dune you are a scumbag excuse for a 'human being' and we are poorer as a society for having 'people' like you in it. After being threatened by this spineless **** in a PM, which was sent to the mods and SUPRISE SUPRISE nothing was done about it, this forum truely has become, by allowing ****s like dune to post on it, a mediocre (at best) example of it's former self. As I anticiapte this will be my final post may I just add that there are posters on here who I do get on with and who are very nice people and I feel sorry for you that in order for you to enjoy matchday threads for the coming season, you will still have to share bandwidth with this absolute ****ing ****. Adios.
  23. AND any country that can afford to give Cheryl Cole malaria treatment can afford to send Africa a few tablets!
  24. Furthermore they seem willing to scrap the census - that would be a sad end to a now 200 year old tradition and an invaluable resource to academics in this country.
  25. Oh I forgot literature began and ended with those 3 texts...moron. The simple fact is Labour had to spend to bring this country into the 21st century. If it was left with to the ****servatives there would have been no fuel allowances, woeful public services and no minimum wage for starters. If the ****servatives had spent a little money in the 80s maybe Labour wouldn't have had to make Britain play 'catch up' with the rest of the world.
