  1. Right link? The article is dated 16th March.
  2. cb saint in ukip shocker. Where did that come from?
  3. Give up smoking - hangovers are twice as bad if you do - FACT If it's a messy one - when you order a round, order a glass of tap water at the same time and neck it. Noone is any the wiser and you are more hydrated. Couple of pints of water and two neurofen before bed. Repeat when you get up. Brush your tounge in the morning - sounds weird but get rid of most of nasty taste. Avoid caffeine and eat toast and marmite. This method has been developed as a result of 20+ years of research.
  4. The arguement is that the mother takes a career break to raise the kids for 18 years and as a result reduced her ability to earn a higher wage in future years and also enabled tihe bloke to concentrate on his career thus giving him the opportunity to earn more. There is some merit in this. IMO the laws are too heavily skewed in the woman's favour (Ray Parlour wife did extremely well). However I believe that the pendulum will start to swing back as their has been a number of cases recently where the high earning woman has had to pay large sums to the husband. And guess what...they don't like it.
  5. It wouldn't surprise me if the RMT were using safety as a smoke screen. These days we have some pretty viscious corporate manslaughter laws. Company execs can face jail time if they are found to be negligent. I cannot see anyone at Network Rail taking risks with safety these days.
  6. How about Pompey play him one more time triggering that sell on clause. Lens agree to write off £2.25m and accept £1.75m. Pompey sell on a back to back basis to Blackburn for £2m. All legal.
  7. Peanut M & Ms
  8. If you built a very very large ship onto which you were able to put the smallest classified ship, would that ship then become a boat? And what would you call the boat on the small ship that just become a boat?

    Unite

What a ridiculous comment to make. It not a case of opposing all unions per se, it a case of critising a union which has, IMO, tenuous grounds for compliant in this instance. Unions have a useful role to fulfill in today's society - militant ones don't. As for wishing that everyone who disagrees with your point of gets sacked - a little bit childish don't you think.

    Unite

I suspect everyone on here has at some point in their career. In my case I found an alternative employer in the same field. The trouble with the BA dispute is that the "trolley dollies" know they have the best gig in town and cannot move without taking a pay cut. this is what people are taking issue with - they have the best pay and conditions in the industry and they are still complaining. When you set that against the current economic reality - sympathy is in short supply. As an aside, some of these stewardesses are earning £50k+ which doesn't sound particularly working class to me.

    Unite

Can unions impose additional levies? Is this part of the membership rules. If the Gatwick hosties are Unite members it would be ironic if they have to subsidise their better paid colleagues at Heathrow.
  12. Trouble is if any party did find the gumption to seize the nettle, 90% of the country would be squawking about the policies needed to sort the country out. What is needed is hughly unpopular and mutually exclusive to being re-elected at the end of the term.
  13. A whole aisle in Halfords?
  14. HAs anyone heard from Heaven Saint since he took that c o c ktail of remedies?
  15. If you are planning a half way stop, stay at Bourges. It is slap bang in the middnle of France. Beautiful town.

You have put a disturbing amount of thought into that answer. I can almost hear the manic laughing

    Cats

Not a bad idea. Next time I am the wrong end of the M27 I will swing by Fratton and ask them for the telephone number of gaydamak Snr
  18. Great day great result. Fantastic to see the saints win a trophy at Wembly.
  19. He really is a scumbag. He never stands up to be counted. There is always someones else to blame or its someones elses decision. I would have had more respect for him if he came out and said "Avram you must be joking, O'hara won't be playing". Instead he has put O'Hara in a bad position. Scumbag
  20. Durian ice cream - ate it for a bet. Smells so bad that you can get fined in Singapore for carrying the fruit in public.
  21. The eye of fish from a fish head curry in singapore. It was the size of a 50p piece. Cooked fish eyes have a little round white thing in the middle of them. Any one know what that is?
  22. Avram might have a close relationship with Harry but he doesn't with Levy who will ultimately have the final say. Why would spurs do it? O'Hara is pompey best player by miles. If O'hara scored the winning goal and SPurs missed out on the final, I can't see their fans being so understanding. They can't understand why HR lent O'Hara to PFC in the first place.
  23. I wonder if the partners of Hacker Young are beginning to get a twitchy bum. After all they share the liability of any additional debts rung up. Also as this is a high profile case, any vote rigging shenannigans or other misdemeanors will damage their reputation.
  24. Seeing as you are taking in cats, how about if I crack on with the Strategic Relocation ploy to rid my garden of cats and instead on dumping them half way up the M3, I give them to you. How many cats can you handle? I think there five cats here, four I can pretty much guarentee delivery on. The fifth might be a bit tricky due to its new found timidity thanks to its encounter with a bucket of water today.

    Auschwitz

I know what you mean. There is a place in France called Orador. It was a French village where the SS massacred the entire population (shot the men and locked the women and children in the church before torching it) for reprisals. The French have not touched it since the day the Germans left, preserving it as a memorial. You walk through the village as it was left in the 1940's before coming to the cemetary. I went about twenty years ago and can still remember it to this day. Harrowing.
