How sweet, they've bought a friend for Nivea, to keep him company in the treatment room.

First signing photo wearing a face mask.

Ryan Giggs managed to avoid frendlies..

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m

Name is familiar from the old threads, and trousers photo seems to nail it. -
Didn't hear the interview. Did he say he was "relaxed" about it ? If so he's learnt from the Grand Master in the Art of Dither. Was also hoping for headlines about not doing business with North London Yobbos, but unless it's gone unnoticed by the media, he's already failed t the 'Rupert test' to hold office.

Looks like it's also become a bit of a personal issue between him and his club. On top of which Berlin no doubt offers a bit more than Southampton as a city... Perhaps not dissimilar to the Hojberg situation in that our interest (as Everton's) might be being used to try and secure a better deal from Hertha.

Think this is a reworking of a story from last week. Shame really as he looks pretty decent and well suited.
-
Wonder if this is solely at their option or if we could veto that and bring him back.
-
An injury to Ings and we're left with Adams, Long and Obafemi. We then put our trust in Adams maintaining his end of season form for a prolonged period next season. Not sure I'd describe that as fine.
-
Not Championship, but we were linked with Rob Dickie at Oxford at one point.
-
Totally agree. After Ings, we might find ourselves struggling up front, especially if its a choice of Long and Obafemi. Ideally I'd like to see a forward with a bit of height, a young Pelle, to offer some variation.

Wonder if he'll wear an Alice band in Albion' colours.
-
Some of his pier group rate him quite highly

Very. Remember that day well. Norwich went down that season as well.

Tremendous end to the season, and response following the restart. Far better than expected. Nice to end the season with a win at home, hopefully this has done the work of the White Witch and lifted the curse ahead of next season. Only note of caution, let's not be lulled into complacency following this run of form,. For a start, the defence - especially Vestergaard and every GK we possess - is capable of a Grade A f^ck-up. McCartney sounded guilty of two today, and let's not focus on JV.

Got to question if Woy will be with them when the new season starts.
-
Quite often under Mark Hughes as I recall.
-
Good news on the face of it, but we never know the detail of the contract extension, such as any having to notify him of any bid from a CL club etc. Anyway it does appear to show commitment and in the event of any interest from others might protect us from a paltry fee.
-
Quite ironic in the first season that VAR has been in use.
-
No point in it today, not as if he can play up to the crowd.
-
Although we can mock and take the p!ss about his limited role in the L/pool successes as he's been a bit part player over the last couple of seasons the fact is he'll retire with both a Champions League winners medal, and League title. More than Gerrad and Carragher can boast.

Don't forget the badege kissing. That said, is there any possibility, no matter how slim, that some of the publicity surrounding his departure was a Les Reed inspired spin ? Think this has been covered regarding other players leaving, and like most the truth is somewhere in between. Question though, where did the 'ignoring my phone calls' come from ?
-
Wasn't with us that season, think he joined the summer after. Do you mean the SF v Chelsea?
-
£20m perhaps, but anything less and I'd be inclined to tell him he's staying. Are Denmark in the Euros ? If so doubt he'll want to stagnate too much.

Been following Saints too long to get excited over possible signings. We almost had Toby signed up to stay at one point...
