    Cedric/Maehle

This probably entered his and his agents heads whilst mulling over a move to a club in a relegation fight.
  2. Good rallying cry. Just hope we do manage to get to safety, and Ralph is given the means and support in the summer.
  3. Crouch to Burnely, home debut for him on Saturday.... can predict the obvious outcome.
  4. A bit older and more experienced though, and has a record of scoring at a higher level than Obafemi.
  5. Sleet is the forecast I saw.
  6. Serious question though in case anybody knows, why would Lepizig let him go, other than for serious £££ ?. As another option I watched a review of Watkins at Brentford the other day who we were previously linked with. Looked impressive although not necessarily the same sort of 'pace merchant' as Che Adams.
  7. No harm in hoping.
  8. Yes, probably. But just a quick uninformed calculation on the back of an envelope and I've come up with this: JK Agustin , RB Leipzig , in top flight Germany, challenging for Champions League.... his club indicate they want 40m, (but may negotiate at say 20-25m, if we're lucky) or Che Adams , Brum, Championship, and by many accounts cash strapped with a transfer embargo, club reject £8m, (but may negotiate at say £12m). Which on balance do you think we're more likely to go for? C'mon Saints, prove us all wrong.

    Che Adams

No doubt been tracking his career for some time..... which may of course be true as we were linked whilst he was at Sheffield Utd.
  10. Looks a victim of some theatricals from the other bloke.
  11. Interesting article: https://lionofviennasuite.sbnation.com/2019/1/26/18198311/could-luca-connells-performances-for-bolton-wanderers-help-david-lees-credentials-for-the-top-job Talks of David Lee, presumably a youth team coach. Possibly the same David Lee who put in such dazzling wing displays for us after being signed by Branfoot.
  12. As in seals the deal ? Is this another cryptic post, and are you an ITK ?
  13. Not them all; Hoedt had been given enough chances, the only one released that has been questioned is Cedric owing to the limited options left taking into account their experience. Gabbiadini, shame but it wasn't working for him, but well down the pecking order.
  14. ... the only thing that detracts from this is of course not knowing what division we might be in if we deplete the squad too thinly. For me the concern are the full backs available to us if we don't replace Cedric. He had his limitations but brought some experience to the team which Valery lacks, not to mention Valery seems to lose his cool easily. Unfortunately though we haven't necessarily "cleared" the dead wood out, we've stacked it elsewhere. We could end up with Hoedt and Cedric returning at the end of the season (along with Carillo and Boufal of course) if they don't impress whilst out on loan. That's a great prospect isn't it ?
  15. I remember it although think the matches were played in half empty stadiums, as there wasn't a great appetite for it. Not sure it ran for more than a single season, so was very shortlived lasting less time than the Watneys, or Texaco Cups.

you forgot to add the obligatory .... "and he hates Pompey" on the end of it..
  17. That's an add on to any fee I'd have thought, along with the royalties for his song.

Hope you're right. Too many are keen to whittle down the squad - for good reason of course and justified - without thinking through the full implications for the remainder of the season if replacements aren't brought in. Although Cedric hasn't lived up to all our hopes of a RB,I don't think he's in the Hoedt class for being written off, and don't think we should be relying on Valery just yet.
  20. Not sure they spend more than us, but they certainly spend it more wisely. Thanks of course to Les and Ross.
  21. Potentially a good signing for Bournemouth, one I wish we'd gone for. They have certainly been ahead of us in their transfer dealings over the last couple of years, embarrassingly better than Cretin Les, and Wee Jimmy Krankie. Am hoping Ralph brings a few gems in from the Bundesliga in the summer. (Howe does look a smug f^cker in that photo though).
  22. Except for the fact we're possibly still paying for him, possibly by transfer installments, and subsidising his PL wages.

Whereas England on the other hand... It was a tremendous achievement by a relatively small country, it's ridiculous to belittle their success. They also matched and beat the hosts and favourites in the final.
  24. Are we ? Although that may be Ralph's intentions, we have yet - to my knowledge - get anyone onboard (the bus or the Ralphtrain..).

The Danish lad looks good and promising on the youtube footage (but can't base anything on that, even Hoedt had some highlights available). If he's as good as we're hoping then great, but I'm not holding my breath over it as he could stay at his current club to win the league and probably have a wider choice in the summer. Not sure why he'd choose us now, apart from ££ and the prospect of playing for Ralph.
