  1. Slightly concerning that the Schalke job is now available after the other night, and possibly Bayern's too come the end of the season.
  2. Did you mistype that or would you really be pleased to see VD win it? Anyone but a team with VD in it, or Spurs, is preferable to me.
  3. Unless McCarthy regains the first team spot I'd be surprised if he'll look to remain with us.
  4. Would have been pleased for him had he been selected, but from an entirely Saints perspective I'd rather he spent the next couple of weeks under Ralph's guidance and focused on the job in hand rather than his head being turned. Keep up the current form and he'll get his chance with England.
  5. Anyone park on the trading estate yesterday able to offer an update?
  6. Good to see you posting again David. Hoping Sims builds on yesterday and lives up to the expectations we had of him after his debut. Personally I'd still like to see Gallagher given an opportunity, can he really be worse than Long, or the immobile Austin ? always thought his height and pace offers something different, and might suit the Ralph game, as for finishing, again can't be worse than Long.
  7. Would still be nice if it were Dell , but unlikely.
  8. Don't think RB go in for 'links' , only full ownership.
  9. And probably wouldn't have persevered with Iain Dowie and Paul Moody either.
  10. Those were the days ! That was an important part of the day. It was always a source of amusement if the bloke dropped one of the numbers from the scoreboard bringing about a large cheer. It didn't happen often, but I remember on one occasion the same number wouldn't stay in place and felll from the board three times.
  11. When is it safe to suggest we're building for the Championship ? Although Reed was doing it for a couple of seasons before his departure.
  12. May be so, but it seems a false economy in our position not to play our strongest possible team when fighting relegation. Especially if their attitude is fine, and not compromised by their desire to leave.
  13. He's not the messiah (and not sure anyone has claimed he is either to be fair). Life of Brian reference for younger readers.
  14. At the other extreme it might be that we have another Billy Big-Boll0cks in the dressing room with a surly attitude who thinks he is bigger than the club and deserves to be playing at a higher level even if performances don't warrant it over the last two seasons. Or that there is another, less polarised, problem with injury or health. All speculation of course.
  15. Cardiff's GD is currently -27 after 27 games. You're expecting that to double over the remaining 11 matches.
  16. It was fun the second time round when we had a settled team that were confident in their team mates, and brought the momentum from L1 and a winning mentality with them. Not too much fun the first time round under Lowe/Wilde, Redknapp, Burley, Poortvliet, etc. Which do you think it will be most like this time ?
  17. Must have been before Dave Watson started coaching him then.
  18. You think it'll change ? We're well past the 'branfoot' type protests in the car park, the support has changed, and the owners who are culpable, are too far removed for it to register with them. Time for a few 'open letters' on Forums or whip round for a fly-past anyone? I don't see the 'spoon fed' internet generation ramping this up to be honest.
  19. I've missed the Stephens balls up that lead to our undoing, although he has certainly racked his credits on that score against Burnley(perhaps unlucky) , and Cardiff (f'kin idiot). What did he actually do today ? The second goal from what I saw on a highihghts clip was a mis-clearance by Gunn. It seems we have a team full of them, all capable of ballsing up. Agree re the personnel changes required.
  20. Fulham yet to win away. There's only one inevitable outcome. Reed, Wilson, and now Kruger and the flawed transfer policy is reaping rewards.
  21. He probably does, look at the quality of our strikers he'll be paying against in training. * *when fit that is.
  22. Do you think we were better off signing Elynoussi then ?
  23. Bogey team ? We haven't won a league game at their place (Highbury , and since the Emirates) in our last 23 visits. Shane Long score ?
  24. Built by Robbo's don't forget.
  25. I seem to remember Lawrie's son Chris McMenemy was on our books as a player, then the coaching staff.
