On the strength of him giving his shirt away and waving ? Or anything of substance?

We also lack any leadership on the pitch which is vital if we've got a load of youngsters on the pitch. Oh for an Alan Ball or Jimmy Case to rally the troops when needed. Recent captains are no more than coin tossers, after that it seems they think their duty ends.
-
Isn't that now the last 10 penalties in shoot outs that he's conceded ? Seemed to flop to his left for the first four, and don't think he should have been beaten by the free kick. If FF had conceded those there would have been a meltdown on here. Gunn may very well be an outstanding prospect, but no evidence of it tonight. Just hope the keeper we signed from City isn't coached into a flat footed totem pole by Dave Watson.

Cart horses tend to be plodding and robust, he's far too lighweight and flimsy to be considered in this category even.
-
hope it's not made worse by the skate Mount scoring...
-
left to join Paul Tisdale at Mk Dons where he'll be working with the first team as far as I'm aware.
-
Was an absolute failure at Cheltenham a few years ago, on a par with Wigley, and Poortrvliet for us.
-
Mepham, or Fry, are good signings for the future, but we need someone capable of improving things now. Perhaps they would, but I expect Ralph is looking to add experience to the team at this point. The name from Leipzig mentioned (Orban) is their current captain, so if we are in for him then it looks like we're seeking someone to organise things at the back and on the pitch. A quality lacking. Can't see Lepizig releasing their captain mid-season though.

You did a good job coaching Fraser though.
-
Good to see we're not the only club with a legion of Thermos flask fans.

Great result after going down to 10 men. Disappointing that Valery let us down though, although accept he's young and learning but we seem to be our own undoing all too often this season with little fits of pique, and individual errors. Hope Ralph irons it out of them in time. C'mon you umlauts ... cracking job grinding out a result with what's at their disposal.

He'll probably be available again on Monday

George had only played for two clubs before signing for us, Arsenal and Derby, so definitely not a 'journeyman'. No disputing he falls nicely into the other category , if not being a trailblazer for the signing of crocks. I think he signed in December, and only played a couple of matches that season if at all.

Going back further, Frank Worthington.
-
Just read of Rivere (sorry can't add the accent): So, we're linked with a bloke from Condom.
-
Our sort of signing then.
-
Les and Ross.

Just added a bit to complete your sentence. Not sure I'd be comfortable with FF as our back up. We'd only ever be an injury away from him playing and as he wasn't deemed up to the relegation fight last season I don't really want to have to risk it now.
-
In record time it seems. Probably the quickest Hoedt has moved anywhere in his time with us.
-
I can't see them releasing Lookman though. Even if they did then they'd probably be hoping for silly money. They might offer Morgan in part exchange as they're probably keen to ship him out.
-
An impressive record for someone who became a bit part player, League Cup final goals, and at Swansea last season. Great shame that his next two managers didn't seem able to accomodate him in their teams (Pellegrino then Hughes). Hope all goes well for him at home in Italy.
-
They gave Sunderland 2,300 for their league fixture. But seems unlikely they'll give us more than the away terrace as there is bound to be more local interest in the FA Cup.
-
I'd include Obafemi within the untested youngsters category.
-
May very well have approached us, but whether we'd bite is another matter given our dearth of options up front. That said CA does seem off the pace especially for the game Ralph wants us to play. Accepting Gabbiadini goes that would leave us with Ings (injuries permitting), Gallagher (largely untied), and Long, along with some untested youngsters, assuming no forwards are brought in.

Not sure if scrutiny on live national television is a good idea if the poor bloke is recovering from sort of 'breakdown' as speculated. But if we're not fussed whether we progress or not then it makes sense to a point.
