  2. It also seems that some clubs yet again want to further diminish the FA Cup to a side show. Perhaps it is to some already, but I don't like the idea of scrapping replays in a particular round to ease the fixture congestion.
  3. If the ref deemed it a penalty then should'nt the Gk have been booked at least, or sent off as he appeared the last man between Kane and goal ?
  4. I don't disagree with you in principal, but I hope we steer clear of Silva (unless to the end of this season only as a desperate measure if things continue to go down the pan) as he has probably shown his true colours at Watford spending half his time there contemplating his next move to Everton.
  5. The tactics and performance for the first half an hour didn't look a great deal different from some of the other MP offerings seved up, one paced ,directionless and lacking any threat.
  6. What was the Carillo song in he concourse, pre -match , to Spandau Ballets 'Gold' ?
  7. Think both Stephens and Hoedt would excel playing alongside a more experienced, and stronger CB, but together they lack both experience and strength. Both are beaten, intimidated by a stronger CF,added to which JS loses his man all too easy, and Hoedt often fails to stay on his feet.
  8. Good awayday, and as it turned out excellent, andin the end a deserved, win. Lets not lose sight of the fact that the first 30 minutes were atrocious with plenty of misplaced passes. A better team than WBA would have surely been out of sight by this stage. Lemina was outstanding , goal was great to see from the away end, amazing what happens when someone is prepared to shoot and can keep it on target, something lacking for too long. McCarthy - good save from a free kick, something Forster would have still been thinking about by the time it hit the net.McCarthy also did the simple things that have been lacking from FF like coming off his line, and frequently collecting crosses. Support today - thought it pretty tame before the match in the concourse, seemed a deflated atmosphere, most probably expecting a loss. But inspired by Lemina's screamer it was quite good after. Disappointed to see an empty area on the highlights though. Substitutions - think taking Carillo off for Long added some pace but lost somrthing of the attacking threat. Long - lucky that headed opportunity didn't cost us. He really is a waste of space in front of goal. Thought WBA handled the Regis tribute well. Although I didn't see all of it, from the time we went to our seats it seemed sensible and proportionate. Several clubs would have overdone the "collective grief" and made it a public display of wallowing, but West Brom kept a better focus (even if Adrian Chiles gets on my tits most of the time). Regis wife also gave a dignified response at HT.
  9. or: 4) Club announcement by Les Reed on the OS: ".. despite his best efforts results haven't been going our way, and on reflection, and with regret we've decided that Mauriccio is a c^nt, and we're relieving him of his duties..... and I'm relaxed about the next appointment because I'm also a c^nt.. so am resigning, and as Ross has also proved to be a c^nt over the last few transfer windows he'll be leaving the club with immediate effect..." less likely I know.
  10. Doesn't this ultimately rest with Les Reed, or has the recruitment role been entirely passed to Wilson ? Whichever one it is, one should be out the door following yet another transfer fiasco.(If not both).
  11. 1/10. Signed an overpriced and unproven striker, presumably on the choice of a manager who is inept in tactics and team selection. CB - not addressed Pace - though linked with Walcott and Promes , nothing to show for it. Good job we signed Nathan Redmond when we did. GK - the most glaring of failings over 18 months. Les F^ckwit brings in Taylor ages ago but we all know they dare not let him near actually playing, and then hands Fraser Forecast a contract extension last summer. Could they make a bigger f^ck up of this if they tried?
  12. Await Les Reeds Post-Window video then.
  13. I think the nerds can be let off on this one, its more a matter of those controlling them, mainly Reed but also those controlling the purse strings. The nerds seemed okay when Mitchell & Koeman were at the club. As for Wilson, no idea what his achievements were meant to be at Huddersfield to have seen him hand picked by Les Reed as his heir apparent.
  14. With three minutes left it appears to have been sh!t.
  15. The "board" when it comes to footballing matters sits squarely as Les Reed.

    Quincy Promes

    Don't worry we'll have a Plan B lined up.

    Les Reed

But Les is relaxed about things...
  18. Taxi awaits ....
  19. Less than 90 minutes for Reed to salvage something of his reputation.
  20. Many have said this since Leicester. Shame Beaker & Bunsen can't see it though and act.
  21. Christ! After six months of the season Pellegrino puts two strikers together at a home game. Unless of course Carillo can double up as an impromptu CB to drop back.
  22. Most teams have a keeper able to make a save with their hands from time to time. We are the exception.Just that Les, and the Lesbians, have failed to realise it over the last two seasons.
  23. Even Rupert put up an attampt to avoid the drop.
  24. Is Reed sat in the Directors Box tonight ? Or is he tucked away, tie askew, and making frenzied phone calls to clubs and agents? Might have his work cut out to bring in Promes (or similar), a CB, and a GK before 2300hrs. I'd settle for two of the above.
