Wot d'yo expect, 'ee's a farkin plastic summah in'ee ?

In hindsight perhaps ! But we were only 2-1 up at the time, so if an untried penalty taker had blazed it over the bar, and Palace sneaked an equaliser in the last minute, would you still think so ? Pleased to see RK was so keen for the EL qualification.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-1 Crystal Palace
Badger replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Only 1-0 , but as it was in the 91st minute I think it a fairly sweet way to smash them. & Arsenal finishing above the NLY... Not a good predicament to find yourself in. -
And if Forster is injured in the first minute ? Or perhaps we should have two GK's on the bench. I remember Strachan had MLT on the bench v Newcastle for the last game of the season when he retired. Injuries, and El Morrocan-bloke's sending off after his tackle on Dyer put paid to that plan though.

A form of PR once used by Rupert Lowe if I remember correctly.

I still hope Brighton do it, but it now appears a tall order. If Brighton don't manage it then hope its Hull, a fairly inoffensive club really. As a final resort,or perhaps putting it another way, anyone but Derby.

... did Zlatan slap the midwife's arse after he was born ? (seems a recycling of a Nigel Pearson thread when he was our manager).
-
Where have you seen that ? Edit: just seen it on the Saints site. Shame they're still selling the Rank Xerox/Keegan home as a retro though as this suggests it won't be the design next season in a new format.

Agree - good interview

Hope Koeman stays with us. But if he doesn't then we know De Boer is keen on coming to England. And we might also find out how 'ambitous' the up and coming Howe really is. Would be disappointed if Koeman left for a mediocre club like Everton, but if he did go I expect we'll move on pretty quickly.

Yes, but won't happen.

Might be a good fit for him at the moment.

Virgil van Dijk signs new six-year deal with Saints

obviously off somewhere -
No problem with that if we remain with traditional r/w stripes. But - lets go for the Keegan kit. Like you same plea every year, hope it happens again before i peg it. (And winning the FA Cup again would be good if it could be managed in that time as well).

Tottenham build up thread ...a question posed
Badger replied to Yorkshire Saint's topic in The Saints
I'm sure one of the historians will bear this out, but I recall reading it goes back to Southern League days. Your Dad was spot on, that transfer remains the most outrageous swindle ever. Like swapping Kane for Ali Dia. I've hated Spurs ever since. And no I won't let it go You've just reminded me of another reason to hate the yids: Tommy Forecast. Although Lowe must share some, possibly much of the blame for accepting that clown, it still rankles as a crime passing him off as a professional footballer. -
Tottenham build up thread ...a question posed

Don't forget Ruddock at a tribunal where part of their "evidence" was the paltry contract they were offering him to reduce his perceived market value. Then a couple of months into the season after a few good performances they offered him improved terms. Not that Venables would ever give misleading evidence of course. And the Hoddle saga. They really are c^nts of the highest order. -
Who would you more likely trust to buy a usede car fro,m Levy or Poch*? *car description and sales particulars provided by a translator.

Leaves the club in a dilemna doesn't it ? We can't look to complain when a manager or player looks to break a contract and leave mid-term, then offer three year contracts without honouring them, especially when results are going well. Perhaps the equitable solution is for RK to "extend" with a one/two year extension, (as announced to the wider world), but with a break clause at the end of the season (possibly by gentleman's agreement) to enable him to leave in 12 months. At the very least it might put to rest the incessant media speculation undermining our season. It wouldn't be summer without the drama and speculation though.

Souns ideal - for a tennis court. But not as a Saints home strip.
-
If he signs for us, my pr!ck's a kipper.

Yes, luccky to have a manager of Koeman's standing and reputation, although to be honest his name and reputation has more to do with his playing days than as a manager. As for a "name" manager, Poch was not a name on arrival was he ?
