  1. more music............please let it be so........
  2. Clearly no rhyme or reason to this f'kin system.
  3. Don't suppose you noticed if anyone was bothering to answer the phones whilst you were there did you ?
  4. Have just had 15minutes of tinned music only to be told at th end that operators are busy and then dropped off the system to start all over again. Might as well accept that I - like many others - have been 'shafted' over the allocation process and won't be going.
  5. I really don't see the just justification in existing ticket holders buying an extra ticket ahead of 'members' - as used to be called in the old days - with a purchase history.
  6. Ditto. Can't even buy online.
  7. I think we were at one stage , 5points ahead of West Ham but 8 points from 3rd place. Possibly wrong, but that too is my recollection.

Oh, well I certainly was not aware of that. Agree that is out of order .It is quite a development then because I recall the "I would never sack Roberto" on 5live. And although I can understand berating England managers, again I agree not his place to do so, had it been Rupert the media would have had a field day. Can understand your view although still see him in a more favourable light than some of the alternatives I mentioned.

I remember a time when many said that about us though whilst we were playing at The Dell with a 15,000 - 19,000 crowd. My argument was that we were there and stayed there on merit.

Interseting observation, but not one I share really. In the interviews I've heard Whelan has come across as someone who genuinely cares about his club and has done pretty well for it yet sees a succession of managers jumping ship (Bruce for one). Whelan seems more of a Jack Walker/ Sir Jack Heywood type of benefactor/owner than an egotist such as Bates, Abramovich (or the other Russian oligarch/Indian chicken processors). I'm sure many clubs - including one down the M27 - would be better off with a Whelan in charge. Oh well, we'll have to respectfully disagree on that point .... unless we can run to a few pages of petty insults of course...

I remember us beating them 3-0 at The Dell in the FA Cup c1985 or 86. Apart from that no recollection of a meaningful fixture. Actually I hope they stay up as both Marinez and the chairman , Whelan, come across well. Can't see it happening for them though.
  12. This is a player that I hoped might get a run this season, good crosser and always thought he might make the move upfield from LB to make an impression, if only as stand in/sub for AL.I don't think he has had the opportunity this season, and when he did,in the League Cup he did not seem motivated. Attitude, sulk ? Whatever the reason I think it a shame as he showed potential last season.
  13. Great minds, or just sad bastards spending too much time on here ?
  14. I thought Falque had been earmarked for this role, but on his solitary outing does not look up to it.
  15. How did you manage to book a skates ticket today then ? I phoned up and was told it was only available for existing ST holders buying an extra ticket if also purchasing for Doncaster as well.
  16. Good, if we play teams the same standard as Leeds and pompey after promotion, its sorted then. not a serious point by the way.
  17. Out of interest, can we recall Dickson ? If not,and in event of a LB crisis it might be step up Luke Shaw.
  18. I too expect Sharp will start, and Hammond will play instead of Cork. Main concerns are the wide players, hope AL is fully recovered. If not then it will probably be Chaplow and Guly.
  19. Game of his life at Anfield c1981 when we won 1-0.
  20. Probably sums it up for me as well. The Niemi triple is probably the moment that stand out for a Saints GK. Other outstanding performances by GK in my time supporting Saints are Flowers away v Spurs in the cup 1990 incl a point blank header from a Spurs corner, and Terry Gennoe away at Reading League Cup 1978/9 where he was immense(0-0 draw due to Gennoe). Some years later a couple of Reading fans reminded me of it saying it was the best goalkeeping performnce they had seen at Elm Park.

  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwDDswGsJ60 Sur someone can adapt the lyrics: Now look at them yo-yo's that's the way you do it You play the guitar on the MTV That ain't workin' that's the way you do it Money for nothin' and chicks for free Now that ain't workin' that's the way you do it Lemme tell ya them guys ain't dumb Maybe get a blister on your little finger Maybe get a blister on your thumb And should Brighton ever find themselves in sh!t street (dire straights even) again there is a verse n the song about faggots.
  23. Someone on another thread earlier in the week suggested this be played, although I think Wolves have adopted it :
  24. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6BHxBbybfU No, I can't think that will be sung or played either,,,
