  1. Tend to agree with you, also I fear if they do disappear and reform there will be a lot of oupouring of sympathy for the bastards . So let them go back to their lower league status of the early 1980's, when we signed European Player of the Year they were in the 4th Division.
  2. I too thought West Ham was the only one this season, but Leeds at home had one in the 93rd minute.
  3. pillage
  4. Ivan Gonad
  5. Not yet, but if he establishes himself and us in the Prem then yes. Agree with the second point here, RL is in the No 9's league for me too.
  6. Could we also have a Saints Tits XI ? Player- Chris Nipple Manager - Lawrie MacMammory
  7. Glenn Cock erill
  8. Surprised by that, I really thought it might be Benali, or Branfoot coming back. Benali introduced to the crowd at home v Barnsley, or Branfoot , introduced to the crowd at Leeds. Except of course we can't afford to live in the same street as Leeds.
  9. Manager : Alan Balls
  10. Difficult to put them in order, for example was KK really a better player in his prime than Alan Ball ? In order of their contribution to Saints ? Probably: 1)Paine 2)MLT kept us in the top flight for several seasons, 3)Ball who got us into it, then probably KK , but if RL tops 30 goals this season to take us up two seasons on the trot he will overtake him in my book
  11. That sums up the No 7's I recall in my time supporting Saints.
  12. Sorted. If so, and if there is any doubt over whether AL is fully recovered then I suspect NA will rest him (ahead of the more winnable home fixtures) rather than risk aggravating the problem at Leeds.
  13. So who is the natural left sided replacement for AL ? Comments from yesterday were that Puncheon not particularly comfortable on the left, and I'm not sure I'd risk Guly there for an away game.
  14. Don't suppose anyone has a recording of Mitchell on 5-live to share have they ? That would be entertaining , as I missed it whilst taking the dog for a walk.

  16. A legendary place, enjoyed by my late father's generation long before I was even thought of. Did I read that it was no longer there ?
  17. Good idea , we sign a GK from Reading and then we can see if BB improves massively after being given the No1 shirt at Reading.
  18. Fratton 1984 has to rank high amongst them for me.
  19. Seems a good rendition but probably too complicated and not enough f words for some of our muppets... Brizzie, sorry but you have been watching too much eurovision on DVD.
  20. Like someone else said Coventry are running along similar lines to us a few seasons ago, so I have some sympathy for their current plight (the one thing Rupert/Wilde/Crouch jointly agreed on was telling SISU to 'f. off'). So: Skates - no further qualification needed Forest - ex-skate as manager , plus some vile plebs amongst their fans spitting after the match down here destroyed any sympathy for the c^nts . Sorry I don't accept the 'nostalgia' for their 70's team, total football for a season and they lived on that thereafter. Season after season , Clough & Taylor brought them to the Dell to shut up shop and hiy us on the counter attack. (made 4-1 in 1980 all the more sweeter). Last place a difficult one: Bristol City - ex-skate GK, otherwise I'm indifferent to them. Milwall - vile club Doncaster - Dean Saunders ...enough said.
  21. I would have thought he could afford to shop at Waitrose rather than Tesco.
  22. No wonder gates are falling...

    Jack Stephens

You can't be serious ? A name like that ? All true Saints fans know its spelt Bevois.
  24. I saw in the paper earlier that Bates was meeting Colin W^nker in Monaco so could we yet again be victims of new manager syndrome ?
