1970's. Norwich at home in particular, (1978) for the one where the Police Ofiicer went onto the pitch, and was informed by the announcer to leave the pitch as this was an organised display. -

Wasn't that just for Eric Martin ? -
Did it really take 145 posts to correct that mistake. And was it necessary to do so ? "Moight" and "plyaed well" , are you using the language of Chaucer's time here, or are these simple typing errors ?

Don't worry folks, Chelsea will be on a rich vein of form when we come to play them, as will Arsenal. Parity will be resumed.
-
Lets all pray, or woot, for a big freeze then.
-
Three matches in six days taking its toll. No surprise really. Poor reflection though that despite the summer spending we have few options available to us who can cut it at this level, therefore the side largely picks itself.

That was a god read. I'm too 'young' to know the 1962 season, but notice the programme cost of 21/2p in 1962. When I started going to matches in 1969 it had risen to a whole 1/- (shilling).Bastards. The matchday then was a far better and more exciting experience than the current conveyor belt of sanitised bland services on offer. -
Is this the same shirt as below ? I'm not sure it is as the above photo appears to have a collar. I only recall us wearing this shirt once, at Arsenal away (1989/90 season), and it was never on sale.
-
I know that one, David. Is it Princess Anne ?
-
Don't recall that one. Is that the 1976 shirt, but with three 'candy stripes' rather than two ? Only worn once in a match, but Austin Hayes was still wearing it in the team photo whilst everyone else had the two stripes on ?
-
Best - Keegan era, and the sash for something special, and traditional stripes. Worst - this season is not even a Saints kit, and the Patrick 'steve zodiac' (red with white shoulder).

The Southampton Goalkeeping Crisis Flowchart

I reckon Boluc is out of favour due to his fitness and attitude. It will come as no surprise if we don't see him again. Whatever happens, a new GK is called for in January. -
Are we finally in a position to keep our youngsters?
Badger replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
We probably don't have the final say in truth, and the club is likely to be forced into accepting what the player and his agent insist upon. Contract or not, I can't see us saying "stay, or rot in the reserves" to keep a potentially disgruntled player. -
Yes, indeed, I had him in mind when writing it.
-
I saw him arriving yesterday and wondered whether to ask if he was personal guest of the chairman, but decided against it- as he probably wouldn't see the funny side.
-
Thats only when we do it. Opponents, such as Poyet, are just cheating timewasting bastards
-
Certainly not happy with him are they ? http://www.nufc-forum.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=47625.0 Admire their new name for their current team 'Newcarseholes'.
-
Probably a fair assessment, it was by no means a rousing reception - nowhere near the WGS applause - but fairly short, many parts of the ground were probably not aware he had come out. Brought home to me the difference again from The Dell where not just opposing managers would walk the touchline and receive the warm reception or a walk of torrid abuse.
-
I'd also heard the rule that controversial incidents were not to be replayed. I didn't realy notice advertisments cutting in on replays yesterday. I did think the ads were frequently used when the screen showed a close up of either NA or Pardew on two or three occasions and wondered if that was deliberate (to prevent provoking a response).
-
I share your concerns over this, playing out of his skin at the moment...either for a new contract, or a move. He was outstanding today. Pardew will have noticed. New contract ? On his current form, you'd say we'd be daft not to sign him up, but with his agent and ego it would come as no surprise if they want parity with Ramirez or whoever. Lepoard and spots spring to mind here.
-
Not so sure about that one, over 20 it may be MLT but over 40, and MLT or Channon ? Difficult one.
-
How many bookings in a game of no malice or dangerous tackles ? That said, I think we are guilty of going down in the penalty area too easily, and with that reputation preceding us we are unlikely to get the 50:50's. We're not the mancs after all.
