  1. That seems a typical trait of any winger though, can you name me one who does not ?
  2. Individually they are the most talented four available, but depends if and how they gel as a unit.Somehow I think either Hammond or Chaplow will add more to the midfield four, than they individually bring (if that makes sense).
  3. Don't let Gary Glitter read that,he'll think its a bargain.
  4. Great..back to the Alehouse !
  5. In addition to the away kit: We can also start threads either eulogising the new kit, or bemoaning the fact that after two months of farting around it is a major disappointment. I am already preparing a "it's not as good as this effort by Gecko.." , or "its okay but I'd prefer this by Gecko.." , closely followed by "it's better than we would have had under Lowe/Wilde, SISU might have had..." , and "I'm looking forward to spilling some of our best catering in the country down the front, whilst p1ssed in the concourse on Saturday..".
  6. I thought it was on 21st, Thursday, but that may be available for sale rather than unveiled. Secondly, don't worry about putting the topic to rest, as we can then start our way towards thirty pages on the away kit.
  7. As in he does not appear to play in any league (from posters on the other thread , and a Google search, reveal).
  8. Ipswich meant to be bidding £800,000
  9. Agree that Jaidi,on form and fit, is perfect for the year ahead although stil think he will need resting . As for Martin,I think he could be the aggressive CB we need along Fonte, but he will only start to assert himself once more experienced.
  10. Perhaps we will have a graphic of Tom Finney set out in one of our stands and they will have Mills. Finney's 'mural' is fairly static but still quicker off the blocks than the lump of lard that passes as Mellor.
  11. and together as one
  12. Richard Fraser's son
  13. Our superior catering simply did not offer mushy peas.

Don't suppose they are taking Pulis as well are they ? And if they need a GK then there's always Tommy Nofingers. Although underestimated on here I recall reading that Tottenham did not really want to let him go.
  15. Why the fascination and speculation on here for white sleeves ?
  16. This was widely suggested when he left Bournemoth, but we of course were penniless at the time. I've no doubt he might still like to relaunch his career here, but do Saints share this dream enough to try and sort something out ?
  17. Hang on I'm missing something here. I am getting a 1:52 minute video that is from last year with Pardew in it??? WTFs going on?

  20. Just watched the opening of that clip. 1968, long before the PC lobby, singing about coming from a "home for wayward boys and girls".
  21. Not wishing to pick an argument with you here and I really hope you are right, but I don't think he is "pure class". Xavi is "pure class" because he performs at the same high level throughout a game, and a season; MLT was "pure class " for a number of years for regular moments of genius. Guly on the other hand is a passenger for much of a match, and providing we stay in the game - courtesy of the other 10- he might produce something exceptional later on to win it.As I said earlier I don't think he can be relied upon to do it often enough.Hope I am proven wrong.
  22. Agree. We have not had a good perm in the team since KK.
  23. Yes - and for the last forty odd years as well.I saw him fall over too often, and sky the ball wide when well placed as often as - probably more than - he produced a moment of sublime brilliance.Bristol Rovers at home as prime example. Conclusion is that I don't think he can be relied upon to regularly deliver the goods, over a season. Delighted if he proves otherwise.
  24. Begs the question, your plate or mine ?
