  1. As a positive out of that, its good that they both 'dropped' two points. But slightly concerned that QPR have still to win.Although its good for us in one way, and long may that continue, 'sod's law' dictates where that first win might just come from : We all know how obliging Saints are in allowing teams to overcome such statistics.
  2. I wonder how many others on here share your disinterest over Saints league position ?

    Wayne Bridge

I suspect we were 'busy' trying to secure other potential left back targets, Buttner for one, whilst Bridge was in talks at Brighton. Agree
  5. No Isaac Watts ? As deserving as Jane Austen surely ?
  6. Seem to remember similar boll0cks written about Prutton, and before him, Benali. Wonder if Prutton is out of contract and available ? In the absence of real skill we need someone to just run around a lot. And clap the fans. And get a ten match ban when facing a crucial relegation run-in.
  7. Jos - caught out is becoming a regular feature It does appear some had the chance to prove something and did not, and as per Dickson last season, I suspect several are now unlikely to be given the chance again.
  8. If so I'd give him a wide berth. Problem here as I don't think he , or many of the other names touted would stick around if we went down, leaving us back on the rebuild route again.
  9. For anyone in doubt, this really is the reincarnation of Fred Gee.
  10. Another ray of optimism extinguished then.
  11. Not averse to that, but in all seriousness, is Hoddle still up to it ? As he's done bugger all for a few years.
  12. No denying it all went stale though is there ? Personally, and no evidence, but my gut thought at the time was that the Strachan to Leeds issue - and the club's silence on it - soured relationships. By default, 'he's not 'arry 'so WGS would be preferable , but WGS returning does not inspire as it should.
  13. A good example of a manager who was for a long while hounded by many supporters. No one expected or realised how things would go downhill so rapidly after he was removed. Moral of the story : be careful in seeking NA's removal - it could get worse rather than better.
  14. Yes - but would they fit into the WGS style ?
  15. Probably with no experience of the Premier league - not a great prospect. As Benitez is unrealistic, wonder what Christian Gross is up to these days ?
  16. Not a resounding success at 'boro was he ? When he came in last time, he was able to bring in two players to have an immediate impact on strengthening the team and taking his tactics on to the pitch - Telfer & Williams - arriving now, he'll have the same dross available to him as NA, unable to recruit until January.
  17. I'm with you on this, I do not want a return to the new manager every season routine. NA was again let down by some experienced players, proving what many of the posters on here have been saying for some time - that some are not up tp it.
  18. Setting their careers back in the process.
  19. Positives going into this game... Cheese on Toast has been banned!!!
  20. I wonder if the Everton messageboards went into meltdown when they lost at Leeds. No.Of course not. Not necessarily comparing us to Everton at the moment, but it does put tonight's game in to context.
  21. No. Didn't like him at Saints as a player - don't want the f^cker as manager.
  22. Just speculation and a random thought - but has anyone considered how attitude, and reaction to being dropped may have influenced this ? (If true of course). If Gazzaniga has sulked over this, then NA may have decided to move him 'out of the building' temporarily.
  23. Ridiculous in my view. Not a lot more to add as the following posts set it out: A contradiction there in my view. Exactly.
  24. Does that not suggest to you, that he is not ready to play in the prem for us though ? Much of the discussion - and outrage even - on here is that Gazzaniga looked to be shaping up well, and commanding the penalty area, only to be replaced by this chubby f'kin porker who looks slow and unfit, his tantrum today will do him no favours either.
  25. In the event of Mayuka starting at Leeds, I hope he is not injured as we really need him to start at West Brom in the league.
