  1. Dean Richards was excellent for us for the two seasons he was with us. I liked him as a player and was disappointed he wanted to leave, and subsequently did so. It is a tragedy that he died so young and we all feel for his family. But,lets put this in context a bit more. Really ? Two seasons and he wanted out to rejoin Hoddle at Spurs. Hardly a faithful servant in the Bates,MLT,Channon,Paine mould. I agree that each case on its merits, but don't think two seasons warrants special consideration when the idea of All Saints is to remember all those connected with the club who have passed away. Exactly.
  2. Ideaaly I'd like us to be promoted on our own merit without having to rely on someone else's misfortune. Perhaps that is too simplistic for some to grasp. That said if AL were out for the rest of the season I'm sure HTFC and others would be only too pleased to take advantage. If we go up it will be because we deserve it and have to win our own games. Hope Pilkington makes a full recovery though as he has looked a good player.

  5. I heard that England plating Wales was to be shown on live tv as it was considered such an unusual event.
  6. Did such illegal payments concern their signing of Ruddock by chance ? I also wondered if the Ruddock episode might have influenced the Saints director in seeking retribution by way of a 24pt deduction.
  7. or Steve Wigley... No course not, no one could be that stupid could they Rupert ?
  8. Out of interest which part is untrue, the tattoo (which I heard was on his arm),or that he was not even a Saints fan ?
  9. Why ? This is AFC Boscombe we're talking about, not Millwall. First ever fan battered by a frenzied zimmer frame attack.

  11. Can I get a "I posted on this thread before it was closed" T-shirt ? Ridiculous to jump into this discussion so soon.
  12. I would agree with you if amended to " Glenn Hoddle or WGS. One of those two might have done the job, once upon a time. " But not now, they are in the history book and should stay there as both have subsequently been found out as lacking,Hoddle twice, and WGS at 'boro.
  13. Good job Tommy Forecast is on the bench then. No need to panic.

  20. They have indeed.A draw tonight will lift them out of the bottom four so they should be motivated. Providing we approach it in the right way and NA motivates then we should still have enough to win though.
  21. Taken from FF's post re the book title: "when the moon turns red with blood" ("Cum luna vices sanguine multo rubicunda ") OR "We are traveling in the footsteps Of those who've gone before.." ( Pergimus vestigia De his qui ante Postcommunio))
  22. For once the Guv'nor is spot on. Although the wearing of 'tights' is nothing new.Keith Weller wore them in the 1970's playing for Leicester.
