Isn't that so glaringly obvious ? an idiot should see it,even one in charge of the FA.
If pandering to ITV has not already ruined the cup already then a thinktank of FA executive **** Head, Adrian Chiles, and co will certainly do so.
Ditto.
I 'd feel for fans of any proper club going through this, Plymouth and many before (Newport County,Aldershot for two), possibly even the skates, although that might be tinged with some slight amusement....
And lets not forget KK's overhead spectacular against MancU even if it was disallowed.
In answer to the original question about the goals scored,Delap had far less space to work in if I remember correctly, but of course its 'king Chav' for Man U so it will be 'the greatest goal ever..' as far as the media are concerned.
Going back even further, I remember the rumour that Saints wanted to buy the houses in Burton Road immediately behind the old east stand at The Dell in order to develop.
Such rumours are nothing new, although I expect NC is more focussed and driven than the good old board of gentlemen from yesteryear.
Tommy Doc certainly came out of that defeat in 1976 with good grace, and surprisingly to many given his reputation elsewhere in the game.
Subsequent Manc managers would do well to heed a lesson from him.
Good to see the Plate Hurling Championship duo (from The Clump) c1997 were reunited for the occasion:
Surprised Rupert was unable to join them in person, did they have a live link up by satellite from Gloucestershire ?
No doubt the building contains the best equipt and most lavish treatment room in the history of football. Which is a shame because (some of) our strikers will probably not want to leave that comfort zone.
It is easy to dismiss the story on the back of fact you deem the particular newspaper an unreliable source. However if I remember correctly though it was The Mail on Sunday who lead the story naming the Liebherrs as our potential saviours.*
And FWIW I do not believe the current story but have no evidence either way to back my feeling.
*although they did indicate the wrong Liebherrs at the time.
