Two seasons, and remarkably he played well after he left us, Blackburn I think. For us however he was just a drain on resources. I disliked him before he joined us, loathed the bastard whilst he was on our payroll,thought he was bigger than the club,caused rifts in the dressing room,and dismissed MLT.

Sorry I don't share with this obsession for yellow and blue despite 1976 ( and yes, I was there). Our 'traditional' away kit was yellow(or amber) and black. THe yellow/blue was a 1970's fashion that we followed. Great at the time but not all the time. I think we have done yellow shirts,blue shorts to death ..and all black, as just about every other club has as well now.Watching Saints v Sheff Weds at SMS could not help thinking how boring and predictable Weds' kit was in that yellow/blue comination.Surely we can do better ?

I always thought the hummel kit as Danish pyjamas. That one above was once desribed to me as our "candy bar" kit.
