I agree with you in principle on this, but the flaw in our argument is that for the NHS to refuse the removal etc, there might be greater costs incurred in the event of health issues following leakage etc. ie the need to weigh up costs of prevention rather than cure

You may be right, but that is not the logic to push our promotion hopes I'm afraid. Not too disappointed LJ is not joining although will be disappointed if we do not sign a good proven striker this window - Lee is too great a risk to rely on week in week out.

Agree with the two posts above, signing a higher calibre than Sharp/Lucas is a sound plan, although it worries me that if we aim too high and find ourselves without another striker we might regret not bringing either of these two in when the chance was there.

But I'm not sure I'd trust Twitchy ... loan us an inelligible player that they can't loan out but for which we pay a loan fee, and end up with a points deduction. HT protesting innocence in the media etc

If we are prepared to splash the sort of £ to sign Hooper then I wonder who else might be on our list of potential signings in that bracket. Sharp/Maynard, we seem to have decided against. Rhodes, although a good choice, is probably priced out of our reach. So, I still suspect a possible import from Europe, or a bid to test Blackpool, for Matt Phillips who is showing some form.

Won't happen in my view as a)Celtic reluctant to sell, and b)other Prem clubs have previously been linked. I still think there could be a striker from Europe lined up. No knowledge, just a hunch.

Like you, I'm bemused by this appointment in view of his age. I doubt there will have been much recruitment on the continent whilst at MK, so can we assume this chap will be 'recuiting' at a relatively junior and local - or UK at most - level ? Personally I was hoping for a Georges Prost type figure for European scouting/recruitment.
