I'm not sure that is entirely accurate or fair on Cork. He returned to Chelsea at the end of a three month deal, probably because we could not afford to extend the deal, and even if we could he saw that being part of the wreckage that SFC had become for the remainder of the season offered no benefit to his career.

As last years pre-season training camp had no benefit they will try something new this year. They are going to spend the entire summer on the p!ss. It is a condition for Jack Cork that if signing he spends the pre-season falling out of nightclubs in both Ibiza and London.

I expect you'll be correct. West Ham will pay him ludicrously more, and he will have greater opportunities to be photographed leaving nightclubs with Essex scrubbers to enhance his image and career there.

No, neither can I. I did find the following Golac clip from his time as manager of Dundee Utd. This was in a derby v Dundee in which he puts a Dundee player on the deck. Golac was played at right back but on form he was a right back-right midfield and right winger combined; he really took control of that side of the pitch and he played some great one touch football with Ball,Channon and Steve Williams. As a defender he was hard,a good tackler and very strong.He would not have been out of place in the 'Alehouse' team in the 60's. He would frquently turn defence to attack . Probably the best right back in my time supporting Saints (late 60's onwards).

Agree with most of your point but not that these two would be short term signings. On the contrary infact, as I think both have potential,and in Pilkington's case fully expect him to reach the Prem and perform there.
