Thanks for that link, notice he does not display the TB Statue on his website. I raised a question on another thread about where Brennan lived and the website confirms : Pure coincidence the finished product appeared as a sculpture by a special needs art class ?

Rather depends on what the hand is shaking.

Le Tissier,Beattie and Lambert as penalty takers
Badger replied to corsacar saint's topic in The Saints
Remembered the Wolves miss as it was unthinkable he would miss. Had forgotten about Ipswich. I never really understood Peach's fall from favour at Saints, if it was injury that limited his chances here before his move to Swindon. -
Armstrong was flagged as offside. Debatable if interfering with play or obscuring Bailey's line of vision though.

Le Tissier,Beattie and Lambert as penalty takers

Not unreasonable to make the comparison with David Peach, as the penalty spot probably has not moved in twenty years (32 penalties scored in a row ?) As for his debut, was that in the 7-0 thrashing at Ipswich ? -
Nice of them to again seek to immortalise, in song, something or someone connected with their vastly superior neighbours. Has there ever been anyone worthy of a statue in their history ? 'Arry, Gin Smith, Mandaric, Peter Storrey ? In truth there probably was in Jimmy Dickenson but they were too dimwitted to commission it. Did I not read somewhere the original artist - certainly not a sculptor - was from down their way ?

I often think the same as you, but frankly we just need to take care of our own performances and results without worrying or hoping about others.

There seemed to be some antagonism with another bloke at some stage. At first I assumed it was a late arrival finding someone parked in their seat and refusing to move, although one of our group sat a few seats closer suggested another line of abuse exchanged between the two of them before it all blew up. Probably still speculation though.

For info, does the loan window close this week ? Thought I heard something to that effect yesterday on radio, but not sure. Somehow I don't expect a loan signing yet, unless with a view to permanent in the new year.Signing in January seems more likely in my view.

Especially if the minstrels form a line and perform a synchronised Larry Grayson "...ohhh shut that door, [one hand on hip the other doing a camp hand signal]...what a gay day..." or as someone suggested - tongue in cheek on another thread sing the "finger of fudge" song from a kids advert

Better not call them "smoggies" they might be offended, or run to The Council For the Protection of the Environmentally Challenged to issue writs.

Made I laugh. As for the cat, just don't get caught on CCTV swinging it round by the tail.
-
Christ on a bike, he was actually played whilst on loan ?
-
I think his continuing loyalty might coincide with suggestions that he failed a medical at Sporting Braga after his previous contract expired, but to be fair he has not created or rocked the boat about lack of chances here.
-
As were Harding & Dickson at LB but NA clearly felt he could bring in someone to improve on what we had.

The Brighton fans have a thread for a song for Adkins: http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?219236-Nigel-Adkins-Song I can't be bothered trawling through it all, but to be fair there are some pretty rational comments on it,telling the OP to get over it Although there remains some critiscism over the lack of a guard of honour.

Good work on the lyrics Turkish. Shame there is no tune to go with it, you might have to update that as well.
-
Not being of the 'Stone Roses' generation I understood they were part of the great unwashed plebs that came out of the Peoples Republic of Manchester in the early 90's. Having not heard of the original song suggested by Turkish I listened to the start of original on Youtube . Yes I was right, a truly talentless bunch, and the song is a tuneless dirge, there is no tune to sing, its worse than a funeral hymn.

As it says on that site : "Badgers do Euro 2004". Has it really been updated ?

I've not used Hampshire Flag Co but have seen their details on this site before: http://www.hampshireflag.co.uk/index.shtml?gclid=CJyS_4jfrqwCFUtC4Qod6nsdHQ Obviously be aware they are in a PO postcode !

Yes so do I, January 1982 when we won 1-0 to go top of the table for the first time. Bloody cold, and for such a momentous game it was a shame there were barely two coach loads there.

I don't think he was left with a choice to make to be honest. NC (and possibly Pardew as well) would not be ripped off by his wage demands, and with his dodgy injury record at the time, told him to bugger off. So he crawled back to Gus - who at the end of the previous season had a hissy fit about the player - and they kissed and made up, saying he never wanted to leave Brighton in the first place.

A wider readership than the Gruaniad and its sister paper then.
-
Careful - you might upset the Brighton fans.
