  1. COYS please win this
  2. Boothroyd is obviously targetting the MK job at some stage then.
  3. They also managed to 'scrape' a 3-0 v Notts County without Pilkington last week.Unfortunately they seem to cope without him a little better than we do when AL is injured, and some of our inventiveness is lacking.
  4. Any Sunday tabloid expose of wrongdoings...Adkins found doing a 'Max Moseley',or wrapping a car round a lamp post at 3am whilst under the influence, accompanied by some tart called Tina from Derby Road.Could have a destabilising effect.

  6. My fears exactly. And you can add, that sometimes when we do play well ie Walsall, we can't score despite how good our approach play is,or have a legitimate goal ruled out as at Charlton etc.
  7. Never underestimate our ability to self-destruct!!! Apart from that, heres hoping the next week sees us move into second place...and stay there.
  8. well done bompey ****ing have that funguson you ****ing piece of ****ing ****e
  9. or at Old Trafford...

  12. Agree that other parties should shoulder the blame, although Crappello does not help himself by reinstating Terry as captain, having been praised 12months ago for taking a decisive moral stance. Not sure about Burton though I think our demise is deeper rooted than the facilities available. Only problem if FC goes,is who next ? F'sure! Two reasons I can't watch England too often... ...especially on ITV with that wooden f^cker.

  14. Surely we need at least six points from those games in hand? I would settle for six, but I'm not so sure about five.
  15. Brighton probably have dropped points along the way but that has easily been absorbed into their points tally given their constant habit of 3 points. We are no longer competing for top spot but finishing second;the Charlton result has certainly impacted on that and left us with ground to make up still.
  16. Given our inability to turn the games in hand, which we had previously banked on,into 3 points,I fear we may not take advantage of this,Charlton (h),Rochdale(a),and Plymouth(a),although the last match at Home Park might depend on what is exactly at stake for both clubs at the time it is played. I hope you're correct but fear we will not capitalise on the games in hand as we should.
  17. Good, we'll be alright then. I really hope you are proven correct in having absolute confidence in the team delivering promotion. I doubt Brighton however would have dropped the 5 points from the Walsall and Charlton fixtures that we have.
  18. I wish I had some of your confidence. I'd agree its in our own hands, whether termed as "ours to lose" or "ours to win". Saints arecertainly capable of doing it, but I'm concerned by our tendency to falter too often. I'm unable to pinpoint it but we seem to lack a mental toughness at times, and a cutting edge to score the all important first goal. Fitzhugh made a point in a post a week or so ago, that we lacked "conviction", that is probably a reasonable summing up as any, whether that is due to self-belief, burden of expectation or motivation,I don't know. With our squad we should be able to do it,but unlike Brighton we have not been able to relentlessly come away with 3 points time after time. Interesting point about the games in hand as we are obviously seeing them as our trump cards. However when we have had the games where we might have stolen an advantage on our rivals we have not. ie Walsall away,Charlton away. One point from that potential six does not inspire me to believe we are quite as good as many on here and Adkins wish to believe.
  19. (&) nice(y)
  20. How did LM expand on this issue ?
  21. crap
  22. That probably covers it.
  23. 'er indoors
  24. I reckon we give him 90 minutes or perhaps just a couple of 20 minute cameo appearances as sub.If after that the 'jury is still out' then we start the inevitable 'Taxi for Stephens' thread. If that does not make him and the club buck their ideas up then perhaps an 'Open letter to Adkins/Cortese' (possibly both) thread is called for.
