  1. Perhaps we should also have brought Lee Camp into the building.
  2. Shakin' ? Never understood why Lawrie didn't sign him from Harchester with Billy the Fish and the 'Large Breasted Red Indian' lady.
  3. Oakley extends cntract at Leicester so another one can cm off the list. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/derby_county/9434873.stm
  4. gutted that that thieving **** scored against us, and dissapointed we let a lead slip. However, as you said it's still in our hands and a draw isn't the end of the world.
  5. I go along with you in that I have appreciated the input of sensible posters from elsewhere - eg the Bournemouth chap,Brighton (Turvey), Tartan Owl a while ago,and even some of the skates. The a-holes who just come on here looking for a wind up on the other hand should just be blocked.

    Agree
  8. He's still a vast improvement on most managers in his interviews though.Imagine having to listen to in inarticulate arsehole like Peter Reid.
  9. I'm delighted if the family are continuing their interest in the club, and hope it continues. Good photos but not who is who there. Note NC shaking hands with Mandaric in one of them, hope he still has the watch Marcus bought him this morning. Which one is she ? Presumably the lady in the Burberry looking scarf on the left?
  10. Or a book
  11. Indeed- and of course hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard!?!?!?!?
  12. Listen, Nigel has done a magnificent job since he has been in the building, at this magnificent football club, it's as simple as that. I'm not going to hide away from it, we as saints fans all have a smile on face, and are all pulling in the same direction. At the end of the day we all have the same common goal! We are winning games of football, with our group of honest hardworking players. Together as one! Ps. He is doing a great job, and comes across as a great bloke. Edit- Sorry, could have left some for other people ;D
  13. Totally agree on both points.
  14. Fair point, but it could also be argued that our stripes were designed c90 years ago and only the collar, width of stripes change. Whatever we end up with it is likely to be a reworking of something that has gone before.
  15. Superb. Yet again I suspect Gecko has designed something better than we will end up with from Umbro. No need however for the red block on the back of the home kit if the lettering/number is black. Away shirt excellent. Gecko, get emailing the club and send them a couple of your badge designs whilst at it.

  17. Assuming Ted Bates is not a signing, and signing youth players ie Paine are not included then : 1)KK - a signing that shook the world 2)Alan Ball - took the gospel according to Lawrie onto the pitch, promotion and competing with the best followed 3)Ron Davies - what would he be worth now ? The above are runaway leaders - although the following would be in my top 10, but don't have time to put them in order of preference: 4)Jimmy Gabriel - inspired signing who stabilised the defence and kept us up 5)John McGrath - as Gabriel 6)Brian O'Neil - most 'combative' midfielder I've seen for Saints. He - with helped from the two above, and Fisher - created 'The Alehouse'. 7)Ivan Golac - the best import ever 8 Jimmy Case - took over from Ball (£20,000 !!!) 9)Peter Rodrigues 10) Pahars - possibly shades it from other recent signings as he seemed to inspire us at a desperate time, without which we'd have dropped out of the Premiership and St Mary's might never have happened. Agree that David Armstrong,Niemi, and Michael Svennson are worthy of a mention.

  19. Doppelganger
  20. Best full backs ever for us.
  21. 1)Colin Clarke 2)Graham Baker 3)Terry Paine 4)Ivan Golac 5)Budgie 6)Charlie George 7)Hugh Fisher and Paul Gilchrist.

  24. Ditto. Just wonder how much is this worth to us. Logo is certainly crap.

Actually I think we are pretty vulnerable where goalkeepers are concerned. We have KD...AND THEN ? BB is injured so Foecast is currently next in line. Agree with you about a MF though.I still think Oakley CDAJFU.
