  1. He seems sure he'll still be manager next season and in three years says he will be saints manager challenging for the Premiership. Good news! Sorry if already posted. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8592090.stm
  2. On a tube and it suddenly goes quiet. Some shouts "cheer up we just won the ****ing cup" and everyone starts laughing.

  4. I was definitely 'in that number' as well. I thought the Carlisle selection of One Step Beyond a bit bizarre, but can't imagine anything worse than One Vision being blasted out in our moment of glory.

  6. Agree with many of the above that Jaidi's experience and presence is invaluable even if only as a squad player,or if used selectively. Lambert - has to stay, but so much depends on the terms of his contract and if he is entitled to speak to others. Lallana - bow to those itk who say he will stay. Papa/Antonio - will we look to keep both having signed Puncheon ? Goalkeeper - KD is 34,we need to build for the future and I'd like to see an up and coming understudy signed. This may rattle a few on here but BB in my view is unreliable. RB - yes,we need one ! Unless the Harding switch is to be longer term. Stock ? My big fear is Fonte. He is clearly a class above this league, and it concerns me that Saints have not made the progress he hoped for in January.Colin W a nker at QPR will have money to spend and knows him well. Get rid of the dross - Pulis,Gillet.Molyneaux,Holmes,Forecast etc Wotton and Perry next season are likely to be a season over their 'shelf life' and will probably move on.
  7. That description is typical of most modern day "wingers" though, which is the category I currently see Antonio in. Agree could develop into a good quality player. Imaginative but if we keep him hope you are half right. Simple question though, do we need or want Antonio,Papa and Puncheon ?
  8. Interesting comparison, and I did see one similarity on arriving in the stadium as the escalators would not have been out of place in a John Lewis store.

  18. Drive Glos to London outskirts,or even Beaconsfield.Kids will bedeck car with scarves. Looks like Miffy and I will bombard each others sections with ballons and inflatables (!).
  19. There was a punk single in the late 1970's Holiday in Cambodia by the (delightfully named) Dead Kennedys
  20. We will have to agree to disagree. Tonight and tomorrow should be about expectation and celebration of Saints, rather than entering this type of debate.
  21. I think you will find that the Scots and the tartan army were the first to take to these hats as a self parody. We wore them as a 'tribute' to WGS. Nothing racist or offensive intended whatsoever by anyone who wore them. Think you need to lighten up, if you do indeed see this as in anyway offensive.
  22. Won't be the same without a high % of WGS wigs and tam-a-shanters though.
  23. Be sure to knock it over to us in 549 then. You can have our 'flotilla' of 16 red'n'white balloons by return.
  24. holiday (as in the punk single)
