cUnacceptable inconsistency and appalling standard of referees
Lord Duckhunter replied to cambsaint's topic in The Saints
I remain convinced the only way to change this is to make being VAR a separate job role. Linos don’t ref one week and run the line the next. I’d get your Graham Polls, Clattenbergs etc, blokes too old to run round pitch and stick them in to VAR. -
I thought the Euros had sorted this ridiculous argument, and finally shut up the forum “experts” that bang on about Ward-Noble being better than what England had. Had Southgate left Philips out of this squad for him, 99.9% of supporters, plus all the media would think he’d gone nuts. It’s only a few freaks on here that think otherwise. As Arsene Wenger once said “everyone thinks they’ve got the prettiest wife”, well Prowse is a bit of a minger & Phillips far fitter.

You’d be calling for a Tory Health Secretary to be sacked if there’s people laying in corridors or still in ambulances because we’ve run out of beds this winter. That person can’t really manage micro manage capacity, but will still be held accountable. The same applies here, the Met is a shit storm and somebody should be accountable. GM might want her sacked because she prefers other chicks, but you want her to remain in post for the same reason. All this “I don’t know if she’s good at her job” defence, won’t be afforded to Tories. Only people that most Tories want sacked.

A mate of mine runs a large decorating business that had a lot of Eastern European’s working for him as well as some English guys and a couple of sweaties. He paid them roughly £150 a day and they worked all the hours god sent. A mixture of Covid & Brexit meant a lot went home and don’t look like coming back. The remaining blokes are now getting over £200 a day and being poached by other firms, and he’s had to enter a bidding war to get more blokes to come onboard. He reckons by the end of the year he’ll have to pay at least £250 a day just to fulfil his current work schedule. Is that good or bad? I guess Brexiters will say good (the workers earn more money), Remainers will say bad (he could go bust or have to delay completion of some work). I can see both sides of the argument , so I guess it just shows that it’s not as black and white as picking winners and losers.

Are all opinions on Ralph moot because GAO won’t sack him, what about Boris, are they moot as well. Surely people’s opinions aren’t moot if it builds momentum towards her sacking. I’m not saying GM’s opinion will make a blind bit of difference either way, but surely there’s a legitimate debate to be had without resorting to “he only wants her sacked because she’s a Les”.

When people talk or write about the top 6, people understand what it means. You’re just providing another example of twisting things to portray Ralph in a better light. If we somehow manage to win away at Arsenal I’m sure your tune will change. My point still stands, West Ham, Wolves & Newcastle were there for the taking, on those particular days and we ended up with 2 fucking points.
-
Does Harriet Harmen want her out because she’s a chick & Lesbian?
-
When people talk about the top 6 they don’t mean West Ham, anymore than they meant us when we finished in it. As you’re clearly pedantic, I’ll rephrase. The biggest 6 clubs in the country.
-
Who said anything about beating the top 6. I said you won’t stay up if you only beat poor sides. Unless you think anyone not in the top 6 is poor, you’re talking pony again. The leagues not just the top 6 and everyone else, there’s a tier of teams that won’t go down. You need to pick up wins against these, particularly when they’re having an off day as wolves and West Ham were.
-
You won’t stay up if you only beat poor sides. That’s all we’ve done since The Crying Game and that’s why we’ve only won 4 fucking league games. Newcastle, Wolves & West Ham were all there for the taking and we blew it. Couldn’t even win 1 of them. Horrific, but keep burying your head in the sand and keep excusing Teflon Ralph, the unluckiest manager that ever walked the earth
-
More excuses. To only take 2 points from home to West Ham & Wolves & away to Newcastle is piss fucking poor.
-
My point is why should results determine training schedules? They either need a week off to be fully prepared for the Leeds game or they don’t.
-
In the modern era of highly personalised training, diet, and fitness regimes, why should results effect schedules? They either need to be in or they don’t.

Load of old pony. Straight reds, 😂 -
Ralph has cancelled the week off for non international players. Now they’re only having a few days off. Although it’s not intended as a punishment he just wants to make sure the players are fully fit. WTF, they either need to come in to be “fully fit” or they don’t. What’s he saying , had they won Sat they didn’t need to be “fully fit” for the Leeds game, or are they not as fit as they should be ? Blokes all over the place. His heads gone….. “Disturbed by unending poor results, Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has cancelled players week off insisting that the players did not keep their own end of the bargain As a result, according to The Athletic, Hasenhuttl expects his players not selected by their national teams to report for training as usual this week and burn the calories The report noted that the Saints manager’s decision to conduct training this week is not intended to be a punishment for the two consecutive losses the Saints have suffered in the past eight days. Rather, it stems from the Austrian’s desire to ensure his players are fully fit ahead of their home game against Leeds after the international break, on October 16.”

The VAR clearly thought it was a clear and obvious error. The referee could have stood with his original decision, but didn’t. Do people really think Mike Dean can influence the referee to such an extent that he thought “it’s a yellow, but as Mike thinks it’s a red, it must be a red”.
-
I’m glad Pusey grabbed 3
-
What reason has Dean got to engage in a vendetta against us. Risking his whole career, reputation (for what it’s worth), for a small provincial club that’s won one thing it’s it’s whole history. The upshot of his cunning plan is what? What has he got to win by stitching us up. We’re of no consequence to the wider football world. Fuck me, some of our supporters are prized Nods.
-
That we're “unlucky”.
-
Why on earth would he have an agenda again at us? I doubt he gives a shiny shite about us.
-
Is OR also out?
-
Yeah because calls for him to go only started yesterday 🤪 Hes Teflon Ralph to some posters, nothing ever sticks to him, I see it was the officials fault AGAIN, and se were “unlucky”. He’s got to be the unluckiest manager in the history of the game. The blokes a bluffer & a fraud and some of our supporters lap it up because he’s “The alpine Klopp”, and it gives them the opportunity to “see” things the rest of us can’t. If any English manager had his run of results they’d of been out weeks ago.
-
You would have moaned like fuck.
