We’ll said. If it was a tactic we would do it early, into the channels, then press the opposition in, ala Big Jacks Ireland. There’s no doubt he wants us to get it forward quicker, but that’s different than long ball hoof football. Players lacking confidence, a lack of movement & people not wanting to make a mistake leads to knocking it long. There’s a bit of passing the buck, it takes a brave man to constantly want to play, want the ball, when we’re in the form we’re in and the crowd are edgy.

I doubt many professionals would count that as having “played the game”. Having a lad playing in the Wessex League I’m not going to demean or run down that level as I know the standards and dedication involved. It was his worst performance for us by a mile imo. I thought he even hid a bit, not really wanting the ball every time, when normally he’s totally willing to receive it anywhere. His all round performance was excellent at Bournemouth, he was a million miles off that Weds.

My solution is pretty straightforward. I’d line the bunch of Son-in-Laws up and give them some home truths. If they don’t like it, they can have a go and even bring their dinners. I’d then have a chat with Jones asking him what his solution was. If I didn’t didn’t like the cut of his jib, I’d kick his welsh arse out of my office. Id then call Dyche asking what backing he’d need to sort us out. If his terms were unacceptable, I’d kick his ginger arse out of my office. What was needed from them last few minutes was to get the fucking thing in the mixer and throw extra bodies in there. If they can’t work that out, good god. Yes I did watch. It was as bad as Brentford away last season, which I also watched. If you’re judging the last 10 mins of games, I presume you thought the attempt to beat 9 men Newcastle under Ralph as bad. Don’t you think claiming Lyanco couldn’t get in the Havant side or Jones couldn’t manage in the Championship valid criticism, or emotional nonsense?

He maybe out of his depth in the Premier League but he’s done a decent job in the Championship without a pot to piss in. Why does Salisu get a free ride from some on here. He regularly makes fuck ups and I’m not convinced he’s 100% committed. If a new signing pushes his levels back up to where they were, that’s a result even if the new signing doesn’t start every week. One thing for sure, with this bunch Salisu doesn’t need to play particularly well to get picked week in week out.

I didn’t want him, but we are where we are. For me it’s just a timing issue. I think the mentality needs an overhaul & some senior players brought in. Sacking him with Ralph’s players and Ralph’s culture of softness is incredibly harsh imo. Personally, I’d give him to the end of the month to see if there’s a step change in attitude and toughness. Is he big enough to impose his culture at the club? Looks doubtful, but unless somebody does, this group of son in laws are going down regardless of who manages us.
