  1. There’s no debate, there was, but now this thread has just become an echo chamber for boring remoaners.
  2. Fitter maybe, I’m not convinced we’ll be getting anyone better.
  3. Sexist bigot. Its “people” with a 76mm ding dong. People’s self esteem.
  4. That should have happened when Ched Evans was stitched up.
  5. That’s a bit harsh on Stan, he wouldn’t have set up like we did at Anfield.
  6. Ralph is now doing the work of two men…………..Laurel & Hardy.
  7. The first time we played Arsenal at the new stadium I was refused entry with a legitimate ticket, so it can happen. A combination of being with my 12 year old, being able to speak the same language and showing them an email confirming payment & my saints account on my phone meant I got in ok. I imagine it would have been a bit tougher trying to reason with riot police in French, when there were thousands pushing, rushing to get in. Add to that the fact that Le Plod probably had preconceived views on English supporters and you’re basically fucked. It can’t be beyond the wit and wisdom of man to have a safe ticketing system and set up rings around the stadium.
  8. It was a different era, we’d had a decade of English “supporters” causing trouble or getting involved and clashing with local muppets. We weren’t solely to blame, but there was always an undercurrent of trouble whenever English blokes travelled In numbers. Personally, I felt that the majority of decent people thought enough is enough and I don’t recall too much anger over the ban. That incident together with Hillsborough, Bradford & Sky , dragged the game into the modern era. Attending football is light years away from where it was back then, for people too young to remember it is pretty hard to describe quite how bad it could be. The gentrification of football has led to a loss of atmosphere, and some right Nod’s attending games, but change needed to happen.
  9. Wasn’t Ralph their “direct line manager”? If Ralph wanted them gone, he should have told them face to face. If it was imposed on him, you’d hope he’d have spoken to them very very shortly after. If the last time they saw Ralph they knew nothing about this and he hasn’t been in contact since, it’s a pretty pretty poor show imo. Once I had redundancies imposed on my staff, 45 of them, and I personally thanked and said goodbye to every single one of them in person. It wasn’t my decision or my choice but they were my staff. Ralph seems a decent man, so I’d imagine he did the right thing. But if he hasn’t that’s not great imo.
  10. You seem to be under the impression I’m a Tory. I voted for Boris to get Brexit done, admire the great lady, but can’t remember voting for any other Tory. I certainly didn’t vote for Johnny Major, & voted for Nigel above “call me Dave” . As Peter Hitchens says, the biggest obstacle to conservatism in this country is The Conservative Party. With a few honourable exceptions, they’re basically Lib Dems/New Labour. Parliament is a big blob of pinko Social Democrats drunk on spending our cash.
  11. Agreed, and Donnie Brasco is another one. Rip, he was an answer on the chase last night, and I said to my Mrs we hadn’t watched Goodfellas for a while. Sad news
  12. Correct, which makes it really strange that you lefties and Tory Pinkos think throwing money around is always the answer.
  13. Their role isn’t to improve the coaching set up. Their role is to shield the manager and let the mug fans think the last lot were the problem, rather than the bloke who is actually running the show.
  14. Looks like Teflon has got away with it again.
  15. Careful, according to the party experts on here, it can be. You should have written “ if you’re a Tory and there’s alcohol present”.
  16. I’ve been very critical of Ralph for a while now, and initially took a lot of stick over it. I think he’s a pretty average manager who is over rated by some because of his managerial speak, his “passion”, and this Klopp of the alps pony. However, we need to be really careful, next season will be a strange one with a World Cup chucked into the middle of it. An experienced premier league manager could well be the best bet to manage the different nature of the season, which in turn limits who I’d want in charge. Im not saying that I particularly want Ralph back next season, but could understand if the club wanted to go in that direction. After all he did handle the break due to covid pretty well. Any normal season I’d want him gone, but experience could be very important this time around.
  17. He doesn’t have to make room for Kelvin Davis, he’s either not got the balls or personality to insist on his own back room staff, or he’s happy with him. Even if he’s “forced” to have him, he’d only be walking around putting out the cones. Do you really believe a manager will have someone working on tactics, coaching and other important stuff that he doesn’t rate? Bollocks, especially one who seemingly is setting the blueprint at the club and has been here so long. It’s just more excuses for old Teflon. It’s fucking Groundhog Day on here. With some of you, it’s always the players, the coaching staff, previous regimes, it’s never ever the fault of the bloke that’s been here for years and is actually in charge of the first team.
  18. Fucking hell, we had the same pony last pre season. “Nobody else could do better with this group”. ”We need to change the coaching staff”. ”He needs an assistant”. ”We’ve still got deadwood from Les Reed/Ross Wilson”. It’s pretty straightforward, he’s been in the job longer than most managers. He’s got more control and influence over the club than most managers. It’s his team, his tactics, his choice of players, and his results. The buck stops with him, why people keep making excuses for him is beyond me. He’s a fucking average manager.
  19. Based on what?
  20. Behave yourself. Koeman wouldn’t do better with this bunch. Nuno, yes from me, but the “I want to be entertained” gang will soon go off him. AVB, no thanks. Dyche, wrong time, wrong group of players, our little darlings will be downing tools once he gives them some clog. OGS 😂. And who the fuck is Jordan Searle?
  21. Or stop being a tight arse and pay £5. Probably the Government’s fault, he has to decide between eating and posting.
  22. This is what we need, players sacked at half time, “you, you little cunt, and you, you big cunt”. Classic “bring your dinner” 😂😂
  23. I’ve been drinking with Rangers fans this afternoon, he’s a legend up there, but they said he’s legs have pretty much gone. Anyone who thinks he could play regularly in our side is deluded.
