  1. Good point, well made. Obviously telling Joe Hart to sling his hook has clearly affected the Spurs players. They’ve only won both games including beating city.
  2. Joe Hart interviewed in the paper today. Was looking forward to his last season and Tottenham but had one conversation with the manger 2 weeks into pre season. “Whatever happens you won’t kick a ball for this club”. Hart said that was the only conversation the manager had with him, just the one, and his future was spelt out to him. Yes, he could have stuck around, but he didn’t, and he says he’d have moved anywhere to get away. Granted, a conversation like this doesn’t necessarily result in the bloke moving on, but did this type of conversation take place with Forster or are we too nice?
  3. Yeah, Reed was a disaster. Two European campaigns & a cup final. Fucking woeful. #weirdpost
  4. He can’t be any worse than the 2 we’ve got at the moment.
  5. Sissoko a good signing, I’d have gone for a bit of that (dependant on wages and fee of course). Strong, experienced, seems like a decent pro.
  6. Well put. Someone has decided that we need strengthening in other positions, and that we can get by with these two. At the end of the season we’ll see if this was a good call. If it wasn’t, the people who made it are accountable, not the people who signed them.
  7. You make out as if Ralph has just landed at the club and has inherited the situation. Anyone with half a brain could see this happening, they were both shite a year ago. If the manager of 3 seasons isn’t to blame for only have substandard players in a position, I don’t know who is. Maybe, just maybe Ralph thinks McCarthy is good enough. I’ve not seen anything that suggests otherwise. If he’s capable of playing Redmond over Adams in a semi final, he’s proved he’s capable of poor judgement. You won’t answer the question. If these 2 are horrendous and cost us 12 points come Jan, should we bite the bullet and get someone in. Or will you still be trying to claim we can’t?
  8. Course it does, if as you claim, we haven’t got money to get a keeper in. Stop trying to make out we didn’t have a choice, that somehow we “couldn’t” sign a keeper. We could, but we didn’t. If the 2 chumps we’ve got have cost us 12 points come December, do you think we should sign someone in that window?
  9. It’s obvious what he’s got to do with it. Instead of getting him in on a free, couldn’t we have saved his salary and got a free or loan to play in nets.
  10. How much does Theo Walcott earn & could we get a keeper in on a free or a loan for the same amount. Burnley’s free acquisition was motm last night, I’m not saying he was the answer, but a blanket defence of the decision on the basis that we’re paying 2 keepers already is nonsense. If McCarthy & Forster are absolutely hopeless and cost us game after game, will you still be parroting the same line in the Jan window. Would it be “ daft” to get someone in in Jan if we’re in the bottom 3 because of them 2?
  11. Correct. Just had an email, refund is 1/19th of season ticket cost.
  12. Nope, you just made that up.
  13. If he called himself Dog, we’d all be able to bark every time he got the ball, or moo if he wanted to call himself The Cow. Id imagine that’ll be the last time he refers to himself as the Gorilla, the club have probably sent him on a diversity course already
  14. Pony. Complete pony.
  15. Free transfer Wayne Hennessey motm for Burnley tonight.
  16. What a load of old pony. Ralph has clearly decided AM is his best keeper. Regardless of the contract situation he can choose either. Are you trying to claim that Ralph isn’t picking who he considers to be the best keeper?
  17. The first thing they should do is cut out the stupid names. Secondly, whose accountable for under performance , is it the match day coach or is it the Individual development coach? If the “play book” is fucked up, who carries the can? It just sums up the muddled thinking and softness that runs right through the club, yet some on here lap it up.
  18. They think they’re reinventing the wheel. It’s what any manager worth his salt has been doing for 50 bloody years, imposing his style on the club, putting decent coaches in key positions, and turning boys into men. You hipsters really think you’re cutting edge and have discovered something new. Peter Taylor was one of the greatest talent spotters in history, he’d recommend the players and Cloughie would motivate them. Now they’d probably be called “match day coach” & “Xg analyst “.
  19. It’s management speak pony, and the hipsters lap it up. WTF is a game coach & a fucking playbook. What’s a frigging IDPs, and what the hell does this bird Marieanne know about developing players. Who is in charge of this nonsense David Brent? I bet they won’t have as many “first team ready” as Dave Merrington did.
  20. The Game Coach is responsible for delivering the Playbook, to make sure the players understand how we play, the terminology, the roles within the team; to make sure we prepare the players for the game effectively, to coach and deliver that game and then review that game. "We have also introduced an Individual Development Coach to sit alongside. Their role is to make sure there are robust, simple, player-led Individual Development Plans (IDPs). What a load of old pony.
  21. Where does being tolerant regarding racism from work colleagues sit?
