Years?
-
Whilst true, unfortunately it’s not that he’s playing particularly well now, its more an indication of just how shite he was previously.
-
What’s that got to do with the price of eggs. Unless we’re in a 7 team league he needs to be judged on results against the whole league, not just the odd win against the top 6. Koeman, Poch & Puel managed wins against the top sides, as has Ralph. You said we hadn’t beaten the top 6 for “years”, I don’t call a couple of seasons “years”.
-
We’ll Puel won at Arsenal & Liverpool on the way to Wembley as well as Inter Milan (do they count) .So as I said, a couple of seasons, not “years”. Its also worth noting that none of the 3 managers you’ve mentioned suffered 1, let alone 2 humiliating 9-0’s.

Maybe you should have quoted the rest of my post, “But that’s the nature of the game”, which you conveniently left out. It’s the one eyed Ralph supporters that hide behind excuses, not me. My consistent line has been that every single team faces injuries, bad decisions, & poor luck. But that’s the nature of the game. If I was a Leeds fan I wouldn’t want him out, but if he got stuffed 9-0 twice, fucked up a cup semi final, hardly won a game for half a season, and cried when we actually did, I’d probably change my mind.
-
Yep, Ralph is the unluckiest manager to ever walk the earth. If you took your Ralph specs off, you’d see that Leeds were pretty unlucky with injuries when we faced them. But that’s the nature of the game. These things even themselves out over a period. We’re struggling because we’ve got poor players and an average manager, it’s that simple. It’s not down to bad luck, referees, injuries or some other nonsense. Other sides hit the post, get bad decisions, injuries and make mistakes. The difference is their managers are accountable for results, ours doesn’t seem to be.
-
It’s amazing how many results aren’t Ralph’s fault. It’s individual errors, the ref, the VAR, injuries , it’s never ever his fault. Unless we win of course, then it’s down to Ralph as opposed to the opposition having injuries, individual mistakes, mistakes by refs or by var. You can analyse every goal and pin point a mistake, we not unique in that respect. The simple fact is Burnley are pretty shite and we couldn’t beat them. On the back of our horrendous run last season, we’re heading into November having only won one game. That’s not bad luck, nobody is that unlucky.

Years? A couple of seasons more like.
-
You make it sound like people think it’s a bad thing. Only a few meat heads would begrudge your “friend” happinesses. I couldn’t give a shiny shite if she is now a man, I doubt would anyone else on here would either. It’s just a straw women you’ve set up.
-
They’re both toilet so we can’t keep having this “he should be playing instead ” every single time a goal goes in, or we don’t win. McCarthy has actually done better this season and has done nothing to deserve being replaced by FF. Lurch may have saved this one, or that one, but he’d have let others in, as they’re both much of a muchness. I doubt results would have been any different. McCarthy is here for the long run, FF ain’t, it’s perfectly reasonable and understandable he’s the number 1 and it doesn’t help anyone, least of all the back 4 to keep chopping and changing.

I know playing full backs further up the park is sometimes just a lazy call from supporters & isn’t always a good move. But Tino is a young man and is he really a full back? I’ll be amazed if he plays out his career there, he’s got midfielder written all over him to me (maybe even central eventually). So why not try it, even if it’s a total fuck up, it can’t be any worse than Walcott.

Homosexuality is punishable by death over there, but Newcastle will be wearing the Rainbow laces.

Perhaps East Kent was minted.

Redmond has done ok this season. He’s still Redmond, but the fact he’s in the starting 11 is a damning indication of just how patchy/poor Djneppo, Walcott & Mo are. All of them have flattered to deceive and none of them have nailed down a starting place in what is a pretty poor side. We’re somehow ended up with arguably our best performer from last season (KWP) sat on the bench. Frankly we’re not good enough to have players of that standard on the bench. The manager needs a system where our best 11 are playing, and I don’t mean playing right backs at left back or wide midfielders up front. Surely to god it’s worth trying Tino in front of KWP, he can’t do any worse than the blokes we do play there. And what’s wrong with A Armstrong playing off the big lad up front. When fit Stuart Armstrong can play left side, with 2 of JWP/OR/Diallo in the centre.

He should have gone as soon as last season ended, giving a new manager a preseason and a little bit of money to get a couple in. We’ve put all our eggs in the Ralph basket now and unless there’s an outstanding candidate available and willing to join us, or we go on another losing streak like we did last year, it makes little sense in moving him on. Performances have ensured we’re not really in the position we were with Peligrino (get him out or we’re defo going down), but we’re in a pretty precarious position. We’ve got a pretty poor squad, managed by a pretty poor manager,
-
Well seeing as Burnley & Brighton also beat them around the same time, I doubt Klopp felt particularly good. By the way, Dyche & Potter didn’t start blubbing either.
-
Fair result, we showed a little bit more quality but they had a couple of half decent chances at 2-2. Walcott & Mo fucking woeful. Typical Ralph performance, played half decent at times, but he didn’t effect the game at all. His in game management is decidedly average most weeks.

I’ve been to The Caneries twice since Sept and the UK locator & Spainish health forms were pretty similar, as were the checks at either end. The airlines were stricter and checked more thoroughly than the civil servants from either country. The only people who really gave a shite were the hotels in the caneries who face massive fines if they don’t witness and record all their guests vaccination status. It was interesting seeing the various nationalities attitude towards Covid, it’s easy to judge because the bars and centres are broken down into nationalities. The Spainish were the most cautious, the Germans and Dutch far and away the most carefree.

This has got the makings of another bore off between stattos
-
Fucking joke, just wearing them to virtue signal. Just as bad as Labour MP’s who wear them in the commons but didn’t bother in the the bars at conference. You either believe in wearing them, or you don’t.
-
Football’s moved on, the club’s moved on, the only involvement I want him to have is shaking people’s hands and telling a few stories in the hospitality areas. He’d be a fucking disaster on the football side of things.
-
It’s the most ridiculous debate that takes place on here, because there really isn’t any debate to be had. He did a bloody good job and I couldn’t really give a shiny shite whether he’s flopped since, that’s not relevant to what he did for us. He wasn’t here for the full league 1 season, and when he joined every single person would have taken being in the premiership 2 seasons later. The fact he did it with style, great football and with personal dignity and class, only adds to that IMO.
