Guys at the end of the day it’s our club. “Southampton till I die”, not conditional on who is in the hot seat. I won’t be happy but I’ll give him a reasonable amount of time to start winning before calling for his head. About 15 mins into his spell is reasonable, if we’re not 2 up by then, the Lego headed cock will be getting some clog from me ..

There’s only 1 group of people I’d trust less than SR to get a decent manager onboard & that’s some of our supporters. Lego, Ralph, even good old Nigel gets a mention. Lampard, Rodgers, Gerrard, FFS get real. Stevie G gives latest interview “how I turned down Rangers to manage Southampton in the championship”. Nurse!!!
-
Fun, fuck me, I bet you’re a bundle of fucking laughs. It was a friggin grind, 90% of the time. I went to every game thinking “are we making 200 or 300 sideways and backwards passes in our own half today. The Lego headed cock sucked the joy out of the game.

Course he fucking should. He’s the manager, the buck stops with him. He was fucking useless. Where’s all this “nice guy” pony come from? He was like a sulky teenager the past 3 weeks. Good riddance…
-
He’s new to coaching, he’s learning his way. I doubt he has very much say over tactics etc. Given his history, it’s no surprise people want him out, but if it was Jose Fonte or Ricky Lambert they probably wouldn’t. I’d want to know what he’s responsible for, and which area of our failings is down to him before throwing the baby out with the bath water.
-
I think people are being a bit harsh on him. He’s got potential, but we’re asking him to pass the ball into midfield & get on the ball regularly. If we got him to defend, head and kick it away, there’s something there (apart from the one horrendous miss kick). I’d bet my life a proper manager would get more out of him. Same with Edwards, I’m not saying they’re great, but we’re not giving them the best chance to shine.
-
He’s “just fucking shit” for Southampton.

Stewart Ripley once told me to fuck off, I didn’t have a problem with that, and I don’t have a problem with this. I do have a problem with them coming over at the end and half heatedly clapping the fans. All this pony is getting out of hand nowadays. When did clapping the fans become a thing. I prefer the Jimmy Greaves approach, “in my day the fans clapped me”. Acknowledge the fans when you run out at the start, that’s it. At the end, shake the opponents and officials hands, and fuck off down the tunnel, win lose or draw.

Blackmore was banging on about this yesterday, how Preston were more “experienced “ and Still hasn’t got similar just young inexperienced ones. It’s bollocks. McCarthy played over 200 games, been in around premiership for years, and played for England. Manning over 200 games , mostly at this level, and an international. The other full back over 100 Brentford appearances & called up internationally. THB 2 promotions from the league we’re in and an England cap. Downes over 200 games, Armstrong over 300 starts and scored over 100 goals. We had James Bree the type of championship player Blackmore was bemoaning we didn’t have, but Still never picked him. Same with Aribo, over 200 games, played in Europa league 17 times, won the league in Scotland, international, yet can’t get a game. As you said we also had 2 of the leagues better players from last season. Too many excuses being made and too much blame’s being put on recruitment. These new guys look ok, save for Downs and maybe the centre half. The only glaring error is up front, but that’s not the reason we’re shite. We needed to score 4 at Bristol & Hull. Needed 3 to have beaten Stoke, Blackburn and Watford. It’s not like every game is similar to the Swansea one. We’re not creating and missing chance after chance, Portsmouth, yesterday, even Wrexham we were bang average, lacking a striker wasn’t the main reason for horrendous results. This group of players are good enough to be in and around the play offs, no doubt about that. The fact they’re fighting relegation, isn’t recruitment or a poor hand.
-
That’s a good call, I’d forgotten about him. Got the Chris Wilder sort of vibe, bit hit and miss in his last couple of jobs, but good solid championship level manager.
-
Absolutely right. This is a tough unforgiving league & you need to impose yourself at the club from day one, particularly if you’re in charge of a relegated team. You need to be a big personality and force your will on the club. Whilst Lego was too rigid in his playing style, there was no doubt he was running the first team from top to bottom and nobody was left in any doubt he was the boss. This bloke seems like a PE teacher, or the cones & bibs man, like a little boy lost. I think it’s called imposter syndrome. You mentioned Laurie, and whilst times are different & a relegation would now mean the sack. Despite a dreadful start, he never ever gave off the same vibe Still is. Never showed any self doubt or muddled thinking. He was absolutely sure he was the right man and made sure everybody else did to. If he had any misgivings or self doubt, he masked it from everyone. Same with Pardew & Lego, they inherited from a poor season, but they didn’t look confused or weak. This jobs too big for Still and he knows it….

Sounded like a petulant teenager that had his play station taken off him in that interview. Fucking baby. And Blackmore soft soaping him with “recruitment” pony. I’d have asked him why he doesn’t play his “favourite formation”, why good championship players we’ve signed are fucking shite under him, why hasn’t he played Aribo, does he think he’s lost the dressing room, is he under performing, and finally, why does he keep getting out thought by other managers…

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

She said yesterday she was unaware she needed one. Now the line is she knew, but thought someone else was getting it. If she thought someone else was getting it, who did she think paid for it because I presume she didn’t pay the £1,000. -

😂 The usual suspects defending the new broom again. Amazing how many “mistakes” these chumps make that only come to light after the media start asking questions, and how they all benefit themselves. Maybe the next “mistake”, will end up costing a minister money 😂😂 -

People who put their kids lives at risk, should have them taken into care. The snap dragon deals with this weekly, unfit mothers having babies taken into care as soon as they’ve given birth , sometimes for the 4th or 5th time. Affordability plays no part in it, if the children are at risk, they’re placed in care. Anyone who puts their kids into a small boat to try and make a dangerous sea crossing is an unfit parent. If they want to stay together as a family, stay in France. One thing for sure, if Boris Johnson took one of his kids fishing in a leaky old boat out into the middle of one of the worlds busiest shipping lanes , you’d be the first one calling for them to be taken off him.
-
Obviously. If they want to stay together, stay in France

Update on the new broom. This time it’s Reeves making a “mistake”. 😂😂😂. -
If you leave a safe country to make an incredibly dangerous sea journey with kids onboard, there’s a case for them to be taken into care. What sort of father leaves France & risks their children’s life like that? Not the type we should welcome into our society that’s for sure.
-
Only Europe counts to the little Europeans on here. Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, forget them. It’s Russia/ Belarus territory or the ECHR, and they’re the ones pontificating about simplistic arguments 😂😂
-
He’s saying that we could send them back to France before Nigel “made a rod for his own back” by successfully winning the Brexit referendum. Pointing out that this is rubbish and we actually received more under the Dublin convention. That was the point I was making, but you knew that…..
-
He said we can’t send them back now, because we’ve left the EU and therefore no longer in the Dublin convention. Pointing out the numbers when we were in said convention, doesn’t make him right, however much you’d like him to be. leaving the EU hasn’t made a blind bit of difference, so blaming Nigel for this shambles is laughable.
